Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied and adapted from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

ROC - Receptacle of Choice - what one chooses to use for the task of POAS

JIAC = Jizz in a Cup. Preferable to jizz on the carpet or jizz in the eye. This one's for the lucky men in our lives.

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture!

TWPU - Two Week Piss Up!

sad la but I agree at least now you can start to move on. I think you should try and do EOD if you are getting ewcm, or maybe e3d's?

Schroedinger hypothesised that if you put a cat in a lidded-box with a vial of poison and a radioactive source, when the box is closed the cat could be thought of as both dead and alive. It's a paradox. Much like the TWOT. Smile If I haven't explained it clearly please let me know!

honeysucklejasmine · 09/10/2014 19:19

Because it might have broken the vial and died, or still be alive. Whilst the presumably soundproof box is closed, it could be either, or both.

Poor cat.

TinkerBlue · 09/10/2014 19:20

Piss on narky fucker? No? Mid row here at Casa tink! Can't take it seriously as when said narky fucker slammed cupboard door he trapped shitty kitty's inside, cue much mournful wailing (from them, not me) poor babies, very funny mid slanging match though!Grin he's now flounced off into the night, although he has taken the dog with him so I can only assume they'll be back when they're hungry. Don't ask me what it's about cos I have no idea!! Am just going to enjoy the peace and quiet!!Smile
Shag him la, give him one for me as well, I think it might be the only action I get tonight Grin
mountain I'm with you on the wine Wine

lildottie · 09/10/2014 19:21

thanks. was struggling to figure put what a cat had to do with it all. makes sense now! lol

OP posts:
mountaingirl01 · 09/10/2014 19:38

Lol tink Wine

Our cat can get into the kitchen cupboards from underneath (put in badly by the landlord) and can't get put again which is always rather than amusing!

WigglyBraddins · 09/10/2014 20:01

Tough day for you La. Big hugs & GX for a WTF cycle BFP.

Today I have been mostly customising my ROC. Here's a pic. I invite you all to do the same Wink

RPopz · 09/10/2014 20:23

We are a cultured bunch Shock ... Someone on the grads Fred was referring to their bean before the 12 week scan being like schrodingers cat! Maybe Luna ?

Bittersweet day for you La - hugs. Hope you're home to your own bed for renewed jsing efforts!!

RPopz · 09/10/2014 20:24

Haha Wiggly Grin I need to dig out the PPC to compete with that bad boy!!

peardrop2 · 09/10/2014 20:29

How do you all feel about a July/August baby? I'm driving myself mad worrying about dc2 starting school as soon as he/she turns 4, being the youngest in the class & the summer holiday birthday not so bothered about the last one

WigglyBraddins · 09/10/2014 20:36

pear what I'm about to write is totally different to the reality of waving a 4-year-old off on their first day of school, but all the evidence says that within 3 years of schooling, youngest in the year vs oldest in the year makes no difference to academic achievement. On the other hand I think we start school years too early in this country altogether.

The joy of summer babies is they get to have great birthday parties. The time of birth that I don't want is Christmas because both my parents have birthdays at Christmas and it's rubbish.

BeforeIChangeMyMind · 09/10/2014 20:51

Wiggly, that ROC is hilarious.

So annoyed at my GP surgery today. They lost the blood test form that the midwife had left for me, so I missed my chance to get a blood test today (I had a one-hour window to run down to the local hospital). Midwife had put the fear into me about not delaying the blood test as it could delay my scan. And a delayed 12-week scan is absolutely the last thing I want. But I can't go on any of my days off for another fortnight (!!), so that leaves... taking time off work (da da dahhhhh). But I'll do it if I have to. DH talked me out of an early scan (cost and no guarantees) - if my 12-week is delayed then I'll be handing over the cash faster than you can say "hand over the cash". Sigh!

DH has gone to buy milk in the pouring rain for leek and potato soup he made while I was wrestling putting DS into bed, so it's not all bad.

Hope you're OK La

peardrop2 · 09/10/2014 20:52

Wiggly. That's what I'm struggling with. I too think we're waving goodbye to our children way too soon! Ds1 will have to start school at 4+3 months and it brings tears to my eyes whenever I think about it. I will probably request that he starts with morning a.

peardrop2 · 09/10/2014 20:55

However the plus side of having a July/August baby means the 2 children only have 2 school years apart and dc2 will probably want to join dc1 at school

BeforeIChangeMyMind · 09/10/2014 20:55

Oh and hello pear and Emz

Pear - I had a reservation about having a July/August baby but probably not enough to have stopped me. Some of the brightest and most successful people I know as adults have August birthdays.

lildottie · 09/10/2014 21:05

pear July/august/Christmas...it really doesn't make an iota of difference as long as you get that bfp and it turns into a happy healthy baby. but that's 2yrs ttc talking. in the beginning I was dead against certain months. now I couldn't give a shit. looks like ours could be born on or around DNS 3rd birthday if ivf goes ahead as scheduled and works. 2years ago that would have bugged me. now I couldn't give a rats ass!

lil ~ I'm sorry. I didn't mean to come across insensitive to your situation Thanks You're right of coarse, I know I'm being ridiculous Blush

ChatEnOeuf · 09/10/2014 21:26

We didn't worry about an August baby, though when we realised DD was due in September we hoped she'd stay in until then. Which she did, just! Of course, now she's smart and will drive the teachers mad when she starts reception. Cute little know-it-all she is Hmm
Lil, I agree with you though we're not in the same place. Here and healthy is all that matters at the end of the day.

mountaingirl01 · 09/10/2014 21:31

Pear, your not at all, but I agree lil, when I first started TTC I was calculating best time for mat leave. Now I've turned into a pink line imaging freak.

Oh wiggly I cannot tell you how much that made me laugh! I had to try and explain it to dh who just looked confused bless him (think he thinks we are a load of loonies more)

Purplecircle · 09/10/2014 21:34

Evening lovelies. Just a quick hello from me. I'll catch up later. Diabetic clinic tomorrow to get my insulin sorted, hopefully we will be back on the TTC wagon by the end of the year Smile

mountaingirl01 · 09/10/2014 21:42

PS annoyed about bake off. Not saying anymore in case others watch via catch up too but...not right

Leela5 · 09/10/2014 21:53

Noooooo I didn't mean who is Nigel farage, I meant who is Neil farage as I'd made a typo :) I know who nf is

Leela5 · 09/10/2014 22:05

Mountain I'm not convinced that wasn't ib. POAS frer just for me will you?

Yes I used to worry about time of year my children might be born. Now I worry I'm never going to get to be a mum. Here and healthy will do me :) Having been to school in Scotland and England with end of June birthday I've been the eldest and youngest in year and I don't recall noticing a difference. But it was much more fun having a sunny picnic birthday party rather than cold rainy one!

Thanks guys. Mr La at work tonight so will jump him in morning. Dtd tues so hoping swimmers will be hanging about and extra potent after a month off.

before that's frustrating Confused

I didn't get the cat thing either lil!
still don't

I think I feel ok about the hcg thing. I want to ttc again so now I can.

I have sore boobs. I think it's wind

Pisghetti · 09/10/2014 22:25

The cat is an example of a particular interpretation of quantum mechanics. If you locked a cat in a box with a vial of poison activated by a radioactive source then the cat (according to qm) is both alive and dead as far as the universe is concerned. It would only be one or the other if the box were opened to observation where you would find either a dead kitty or a very pissed off kitty. Shrodinger believed the interpretation as absurd and used the cat to illustrate its absurdity.

So there you go! I need my bed.

peardrop2 · 09/10/2014 22:31

Yep, here and healthy is all that matters.

Mountain ~ I want to know why you're dissapointed with bakeoff results now. I thought it was fair,no?! Wink
