Tink I really admire your decision. 4 of my half-brothers were brought up in foster care and while none were formally adopted one found an exceptional family who nurtured him and loved him, and with whom he is still close. He has turned out the most normal of all of us, and is very successful personally and professionally, so a rescue kid brought to their potential is a truly wonderful thing, particularly when contrasted to the other boys who were in less nurturing care environments.

I can't remember who it was asking when to dtd around getting positive opk but generally you'd be trying to do it in high days leading up to flashing smily and on the day. Spermies can live for 5-7 days whereas egg is about 24 hours. My bfp we dtd eod in lead up to icing and then the morning after.

Off to hospital this morning to get my bloods done - checking hcg has fallen so we can start ttc again

Callipy with yoga, if you already do it I think it's fine to keep doing it, but avoid closed twists (and possibly full inversions?). If you've decided to start yoga it's totally fine to do pregnancy yoga (clearly). I think if you want to start non-preg yoga you need to have a conversation with the teacher. Most of the ones I know would be fine with it.

I'm being so cautious now tho that I've said to my teachers I won't do closed twists in TWOT just in case, although I'm sure it makes no difference. Had a comedy conversation with hunky (and a bit geeky) teacher in front of the class on Sunday because I couldn't catch him on his own when I said "no closed twists for me because I'm in a bit of a Schroedinger's cat state". He knew what I meant but I clearly looked like a pretentious nob end.

Following the gbbo chat I feel compelled to share with you that mr b looks uncannily like Paul Hollywood in a tanned bearded silver Fox with flamboyant taste in shirts kind of a way. To the extent that we've noticed people double taking over the lady few weeks. Hilarious.
Anyway, in tribute to the final, I suggested a bit of gbbo roll (geddit) play in the bedroom last night. Had to abandon that plan as we were both laughing too much following him examining my soggy bottom and me complementing his rise. managed to get 'that was a great show stopper' in at the end though. tink - also very glad he won't read this!

Just wanted to pop on and let you all know about Eli's conception as it may give you hope.

Due to a genetic condition our first pregnancy ended and we were told to stop ttc till we had genetic counselling. Because of this I was opking and we were making sure we dtd when I wasn't ovulating (Although unprotected ) also dh had changed his mind with regards to having kids so it was all emotional and horrible. Any who we dtd on Sunday and I got a positive opk on the Thursday. So it is true about sperm living in you and dh also swears he pulled out so it really is just luck sometimes!

So even if you dtd once around ovulation or everyday you still have a shot of course I would suggest you being a bit more proactive then we were.

Oh and my earlier pregnancy we concieved doing smep!

Not me, Callipy, last time I was already vomiting by the time I was due - BFP was really obvious v early on. But there was two of them in there so that's probably why... I'm still none the wiser. Going to wait a while and see if the witch decides to declare herself or I get any proper symptoms...I guess if I iced later than usual, say D20, with a normal LP I'd only be a day or so late now. I'm a few pages late for this but I take a vegetarian Omega 3, 6 and 9 supplement alongside pregnancy vits as the pregnacare plus contain actual fish which I don't eat and therefore is why I feel like I need the 3, 6, 9 in the first place. AFAIK they're fine to take.

Hi mountain if you're still feeling weird and super tired may I suggest a chat with your gp? Maybe get some bloods run because it sounds a bit like your body doesn't want you to know what's going on. However faint, a lines a line, as long as it came up in the correct timeframe. So I'm offering a mini hooyah but only because you asked for it and and hoping you get a clearer line in the am.
