I have one child who is 11, and who longs for a sibling. I am 32 years old & I have been trying to conceive since December 2013. I am ovulating thankfully, but seem to ovulate on CD18. My issue is that at 9dpo I start spotting and 10 dpo AF starts. I am on TTC#7 now, and I find the 2WW very difficult every month. I try to be positive and hope for the best, but on the other hand I try not get my hopes up too much, as it is so upsetting when AF arrives. I have had CD3 and 7 dpo tests done to check hormone levels...all of these have come back normal...My temps are really good too, so I just can't understand what is going on with my body. I also have been going to accupunture for the last 3 months. I am on CD1 today so hopefully this is the month I will conceive. Fingers crossed.Would anyone like to join me as I begin Cycle 7 TTC? x

Hi Ela88 I know ...I really thought I would get pregnant first time...easy peasy...I never thought it would be so difficult! I woke with a pain in my lower back this morning...left ovary cramps..temp went up .2°c..very tired but nothing new there!...loads of Creamy CM..xx How are you holding up? How many DPO are you now?

I use the Glow app too...it's just brill! I love it! I ordered a basal thermometer on Amazon...I still haven't received it, but I imagine it should arrive tomorrow..the one I use at the moment is just a regular thermometer...it just takes readings to one decimal place..eg 36.4°c...the basal therm reads to two decimal places..36.43°c...Yep timing is everything in order for the sperm to meet the egg...but it is a challenge when TTC not to allow intercourse to become mechanical! This month we have DTD rather than BDing, as it took the pressure off...fingers crossed we will conceive xx

Thanks Laurano81 :) that's really helpful, I have been looking at the basal thermometers on Amazon so will get one. I don't want to tell anyone else that we are ttc so apps like Glow and these boards are super helpful and supportive. And yes I agree about everything becoming mechanical, that's when it becomes a chore and I was so hoping not to have to need charts and temperatures etc. oh well. Your plan sounds a good one, fingers crossed!! X

Hey laurano sorry been soooo busy over the past week I've not even been on here! I'm 7 dpo, my temps have been pretty consistent too, staying at 36.4/36.5 since ov, think that is supposed to happen?! How many days po are you now? How you been?

No probs mrspoppet ...only my family know we are TTC, but everyone keeps asking if we want more kids...we got married in Oct & everyone tends to expect you to pop a baby straight out ...I say to them oh all good things take time..xx

Hiya Ela88 It's great to hear from you...I hope you are good! I am 7 dpo as well...feeling nervous, as the last two months I ended up spotting on the evening of 9dpo with AF arriving on 10dpo...my temps are pretty much the same every morning since ovulation...it dipped 5dpo & went back up 6dpo & today 7dpo it was the same as yesterday..once it stays above coverline you are ok... x My boobs were sore last night then today nothing, but they are sore again now.....I had a really bad burning sharp pain in my right side today when I stretched up to reach something..I have lots of creamy CM..but everything can change in an instant ...to be honest if my luteal phase lengthens by even a day this month I will be happy but I would obviously prefer a BFP xx What symptoms have you? x

Hey! My symptoms are pretty much the same as yours except for the pain in the side. Last month I started spotting at 5dpo for about 10 days then AF came properly so hopefully that won't happen again, not sure why it did!

At least my temps seem to be doing what is normal at each part of the cycle! I was worried I wasn't ovulating at all! Xxx

I am delighted that your are ovulating !!! Hip hip hurray! ...It's great that you haven't had any spotting so far! Nice one! How were your temps this morning? Mine have been the same the last 3 mornings...it will be interesting to see what they will be tomorrow morning...Fx...my breasts are defo more sore today...sides & top...slightly under the arm on the left as well..feeling nervous, cos last month I started spotting late in the evening of 9DPO...Fx no spotting tomorrow...I hope to get to 11DPO at least...or maybe that is just wishful thinking.,..my head feels a bit dizzy & fuzzy all day..how are you doing? x

My temp was 36.74 so up from the 36.51 it's been the last few mornings. I had woken up a couple of times from about 4am so might be due to the broken sleep before I temped.

Yep no spotting yet, no cramps or anything! According to my app, AF is due next Thursday but I think it will come before then. Had quite a but of CM too over the past few days, I haven't taken much notice of it before so can't compare to previous months!

My head is awful! I'm pretty sure I'm losing my marbles or my memory! Definitely need a holiday! Xxx

Yeah! Ela that is great! I really really hope it stays up & you get a BFP! That's great that you don't have any spotting or cramps! Yahoo! x That's a major improvement compared to last month! I am delighted for you...Fingers crossed for a BFP!

My head feels fuzzy too! I am also doing strange things! I put juice into my cup of tea last night! I was like WTF! hehe...I found it very hard to concentrate at work today! I feel a bit all over the place....hormones no doubt! I felt all day that AF was coming...I just had that fuzzy feeling in my head! Then low & behold my DH was very romantic when he came home from work! DTD & I had red spotting afterwards...,...no brown but a big blob of red CM...at 9DPO! ! I will have to see what happens for the rest of the day...tomorrow morning will tell all...I knew in my heart that this month was not for me..disappointed & upset, but not as gutted...but I am still rooting for you! xx

This is my first cycle at temping as opk are not reliable whenyou have pcos
I have irreg cycles anywhere between 35-45 days but my last was 56 days! I was convinced i was pregnant.

Anyhow i dont fully understand how the temping works ....yet!
I have read that you need to have 3 high temp readings in a row to detect ov.
Your temps need to increase after ov compared to pre ov? Is this right?

My chart has little red lines across and is showing i poss ov on day 28 its hard as i only started to temp mid cycle.
I know i will need to temp a few more cycles to get a better pic.

What do you think? Is my temps ok? They dont seem to be as high as some charts i have seen. Is this anything to worry about?

I am currently 9dpo & had cramps from 2dpo...very strange. Bit of white cm, & tender boobs started yday.
As you can see i also had a temp drop...why is this?

Hi 1moretime welcome! This is my first month temping so I'm not really sure what to expect to be honest, sorry! My chart is pretty similar looking to yours, fertility friend worked out I ovulated on day 15 from the temps, I started from first day of AF though so on day 1, I don't know if it makes a difference? What's your temp been the last couple of days? I can't zoom into your chart to see! Xx

My temps since ov was detected have been.... 96.62, 96.80, 96.80, 96.98, 96.98, it then dropped alot & i was worried dropped to 96.26, then back upto 96.98, 96.80, 96.80 i missed yesterdays!! Todays is the highest at 97.34. Im 12dpo today xx

I ov late on day 28, i have irregular periods so is expected. Hope it wont make any diff ttc xx

How long have you been TTC? I don't know if the irregular cycle affects it too much? I suppose if you're temping and using opk you can still work out when you ovulated so can time dtd around then!
I am relieved it looks like I actually do ovulate because that was my worry! Xxx

Hi hun i have a ds who has just turned 5. I developed pcos after i had him & been taking metformin for 19 months or so. Only just recently up'd the dose as i now have the slow release version because i couldnt stomach the others!
We have just said if it happens i think hubby isnt wanting to get his hopes up as my blood results a few months ago were abnormal...but my tsh levels
Were spot on 2 months ago consultant likes them to be between 1-2 when ttc. Mine was 1.14.

How does pcos develop? I've seen lots of mention of it on here and kind of know what it is but not how it starts. I've recently been diagnosed with SLE so am not sure how pregnancy will affect that and whether I'm 'well' enough to even conceive. I feel a million times better than I did 6 months ago though so that must be a good sign!
we've been trying to conceive 17 months now but took a 3 month break in the middle of last year due to changing jobs. In September we will have been officially trying for 12 months straight so think if it's not happened by then, then we'll look at going to the GP.

I had irreg periods as a teen...there was no explanation for it though & ended up being dragged to the docs as my mam thought i was preg at 15 because i didnt have any periods for 5 months!! I didnt even have a boyfriend lol. I had a mc at 6/7weeks 5 years ago & later that month found i had a underactive thyroid & because my Tsh levels were so high my body couldnt have carried the baby ...this can also sometimes be a reason for irreg cycles too.
I got started on thyroxine & my levels stabled & luckily i fell pregnant 3 months after my m/c.
After i had my ds my periods were none existant & i started having horrid cramps...body hair started appearing on my arms, back & face after a few appt to gp i finally got referred to a endocrinologist who then diagnosed me with pcos.
My diagnosis was due to irreg cycles, hair growth, and test results...i had a scan but had no cysts on my ovaries...iv later heard that there are 2 types of pcos.

Im not sure how it develops hun..its to do with insulin levels too.

Hi Ela88 I am happy to say NO AF so far! Yay! I made it to 11 DPO! I can't believe it! My CM is watery/creamy, boobs Sensitive (more on the nipple area) , fuller & heavy! I really am not getting my hopes up! But OMG! I haven't seen 11DPO since I TTC! I was going to POAS FRER this morning, but I actually was too frightened! I didn't feel up to a neg. ...if I don't get AF in the morning I might POAS! Fx FX Fx

How are you! I really hope AF has stayed away! How have your temp. been! Mine went down Friday & then back up to what it was Thurs...it has been the same the last two mornings!

Welcome 1moretime Your chart looks good! I started temping a few months ago...my acupuncturer advised me to do it, as it shows when you ovulate...etc...How many DPO are you today? Fx for a BFP! xx

This is with todays temp.

Hiya I am on CD28 today and all the other months TTC, I had AF on CD28! I used to OV. on CD18 & then get AF on 10DPO making it CD1! So my LP was only 9/10 days...I started agnus cactus this month & I Ov. on CD17. Your chart is similar to mine ...I have a dip of .1°c 9DPO & then it went up .1°c 10DPO & was the same this morning...usually before Ov. temps are lower, then go up after OV. Some people believe a dip in the LP is because of implantation.& then there is a rise...but there are charts that have these & result in a BFN...it has happened to me several times...check this link out about charting... infertility.about.com/od/tryingtoconceive101/qt/triphasic_chart.htm..usually if you are preg you get a third temp rise..that is higher than temps before...x What was your temp today? Is it the same as the last 2 days..it is hard to see, as I can't make the picture bigger.

Ladies I think the witch is trying to grab me! Red spotting when I went to the toliet just now My breasts got extra sore in the last few hours...I just knew it! Looks like I will be starting 8 tomorrow! I hope you both have more luck this month xx

Thanks laurano that link was really helpful! I didn't temp this morning as I had to get up at 2am and then woke up at 5 and usually temp at 6.30 so I just had a lie in! I need to keep an eye tomorrow and see if I have another rise in temp because it's dropped a little over the past 2 days. Hopefully that doesn't mean AF is coming.
1moretime SLE is lupus, it's only mild but caused hair loss and real severe fatigue. Feel like a completely different person now I'm on medication but might have to stop taking it if I conceive.

Ela88 my temps have been the same the last 3 days...started spotting earlier ...but hey! I hope I was 11DPO today,...I was worrying this morning, if I was 9 or 10 DPO even, as I had pain CD17, 18 & 19..! I had a temp dip CD17 & temps went up CD 18...so I do think I am 11DPO..just worrying as usual! xx
