TTC First Time - Anyone else?

My husband and I are TTC! I have been off the pill for a month now and have started taking folic acid and calcium with vit D to ensure if anything does happen I'm as healthy as possible. Limiting caffeine and alcohol but not cutting it out completely as you never know how long it will take! All my friends have just fallen pregnant really easily, but I have a feeling this will not be the case for me. I can't remember when my last period was either which is annoying as will need to wait for the next one before I can chart etc. Hmm Is anyone else out there TTC now? We could all share our stories and encourage each other! Smile

april you are about the same Dpo as me :) I'll be keeping an eye on you haha! I was playing about with the idea of acupuncture but my friends grandma does reflexology and the fre infrared sauna box which helps with hormones. She swears she will get me prego in 7 sessions haha. She has an 80% success rate and the only reason it is down is because 3 girls ( all from the same family) were born with no eggs!!! Spooky!

Hope your having a lovely day and keep me updated :) xxx

Ooh 80% success rate sounds good MrsVonBlack - fx! Not long now until we are both into POAS territory.
Ganda you must be so frustrated. I have been there several times. My cycle has got longer since we started ttc, last month I was 4 days late. Some women don't show positive on a test until several days after AF is due so you are still in with a chance.

Sarahg1 · 07/07/2014 15:15

MrsVonBlack I'm having reflexology too, had one treatment which was a sort of assessment and then starting properly when back from honeymoon. Also starting fertility yoga.

What's the fertility diet you're on? I'm angling for a total health kick and trying everything when we're back, but don't honestly feel I can commit to a healthy 2 weeks of honeymoon so this will all begin one month from now. The countdown is on...

ganda1 · 07/07/2014 15:55

Frustrated is deffo how im feeling. Still no period and felt sick but dunno if thats because I want to be pregnant im thinking I feel sick when im not. Urgh!! Getting married next sat so either want af to arrive, so its not on honeymoon and I can drink, or if I am pregnant I wont drink!!

Im havibg reflexology too, having it twice a month, sooo relaxing and if it helps with fertility then amazing!!

Hi All, are you happy for me to join you?

We aren't TTCing now; we are taking Pregnacare conception his and Hers and I am taking an added omega supplement. I have had a preconception doctors check up. We are now just waiting until we are legally wed and on the honeymoon to do some babymaking. We came odd the pill and swapped to condoms a whole while ago now, and my body clock seems to be back to 'normal'. The good news is we only have ten weeks to go until we are TTC.

I am 23 (24 in a couple of weeks), H2B is 33. We both work in local government. I was always predominantly career focussed until H2b and I started joking about having kids. One day, out of the blue, he asked me how we would decorate a nursery. Then it hit me. Like a tonne of bricks. An absolute innate, guttural urge. I must have this man's babies! Haha. He definitely Derren Brown'd me into it...

R0ckCh1c · 07/07/2014 17:29

Ganda I'm feeling the same as you. Waiting for AF to arrive, was due a week ago but nothing. Done a test last weds & was negative, but still no AF & yesterday & today I've had episodes of feeling dizzy/light headed & feeling sick. But I don't think I am pregnant & do not want to waste money by doing another test until I think I really could be. My friends have told me that you just know when you're pregnant & right now I think it's just me wanting to be pregnant rather than being pregnant. Have a lovely wedding & honeymoon & hopefully soon you'll have some more great news Smile

Pixa my partner & I are taking the his & her pregnacare tablets too Smile

Hello all, is there room for another one?

My OH and i have just started ttc, we are both 30, we aren't in much of a rush as we are currently renovating our house (plastering and decoration left to go). So we can afford to not get stressed about it and just have fun (well that's the theory!)

We haven't told and friends/family don't want the pressure of constant questions. But it is so hard to keep stum i have a massive grin on my face constantly, and this is just the trying phase, who knows what i'll be like if it happens.

I think it may take a while as i have erratic cycles the last year they have ranged from 29 days to 48 days. Anyone else have crazy cycles, how do you cope trying to pin point when the time is right?

MrsVonBlack13 · 07/07/2014 22:15

april let me know when you cave ha! My ovia app says I can do in 5 days but I'm not sure!!!

sarahg I'm on session 3, have session 4 on Friday next week! She says it normally takes her 7 sessions for it to really kick in but I feel it alreAdy. I swear I ovd from both sides this month and now my boobs are in bits and I'm feeling super hot all the time!!! I hope it's worked that quickly :) I really hope you enjoy it too. Advice though, tell her when it's sore because if you don't they go deeper then you say it's sore and they do it worse!!!!! Ha that middle if you big toe is going to be prided to buggery! Xxx

MrsVonBlack13 · 07/07/2014 22:23

sarahg sorry forgot to add my fertility diet includes eating a ton! Of spinach and broccoli, I eat blackberries until I sweat the pm out in her sauna, no plastic or microwave and filtered water. She also gets me to walk outside everyday with no shoes on as much as possible as it helps you root to the earth :) lovely little thing I found out though us that when you fall pregnant, where you would normally feel the ovaries turns into a paisley pattern :)

Sarahg1 · 08/07/2014 05:20

mrsvonblack that all sounds very interesting I will definitely stock up on all those things when I'm back and get walking barefoot. I'm pretty sure the reason it's taken me 5 cycles so far is due to diet - it's not that bad but not perfect and too much wine so I'm confident that a more natural lifestyle will do me the world of good. Please keep me posted, I won't be trying it all til next month so hoping you've got a bfp to inspire me by then!

and pixa. .. that urge is oh so familiar. OH just doesn't get that I need to be a mother, not a lifestyle choice or something we should do because of our age but an outright need.

good luck to everyone and welcome to the newbies!

DurhamRed · 08/07/2014 07:43

OMG!! I am on cycle 3 of TTC and caved in and tested 4 days early this morning (AF due Saturday) and got a BFP!! I can't believe it!!!

Fingers crossed this little bean sticks!!!

Congratulations DurhamRed!!! Grin My hubby and I are having a whole date weekend of trying this weekend wish us luck! X

DurhamRed · 08/07/2014 08:07

Wishing you loads of luck Futter. Have a fab date weekend! :-)

Pixa · 08/07/2014 08:55

R0ckCh1c How are you finding the Pregnacare Conception His & Hers? They were on offer last week in Tesco at 3 for 2! I haven't noticed any difference in myself and neither has H2B but hopefully they are helping.

Sarahg1 I feel your pain in terms of the urge. A lady at work tried saying that wanting a child was just a social construct... I have never been so angry. Hmm I will keep my fingers crossed for you getting a BFP soon.

DurhamRed So pleased for you! Congratulations. Grin

MrsVonBlack13 · 08/07/2014 08:57

sarah yeah it's taken me 8 cycles so far too but I hope this will be my last :) I have cut out drinking completely for 2 months and DH has cut it for a month now too. I will keep you posted on anything else I think us of interest. Xxx

DurhamRed · 08/07/2014 09:17

Thank you Pixa :-) Fingers crossed the faint line gets stronger!

Aprilray · 08/07/2014 10:04

Congratulations DurhamRed on your BFP!

MrsVonBlack I think I will test on Friday as I am going for dinner with the girls and will have a glass of wine if I get a BFN - well done on cutting out drinking! I have cut back but think I would go mad without the odd glass here and there. The fertility diet sounds good. I have been trying to eat a lot of leafy greens and have also been avoiding microwaves/plastic etc. fx it all pays off. I am going to try the walking outside barefoot thing Smile

MrsVonBlack13 · 08/07/2014 21:22

april this non drinking malarkey is good but bloody rubbish too! If I don't get my bfp I think I'll be having a wee one too tbh! I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for your results on Friday :) I think I'll test on Sunday as DH is doing his offshore training on Monday so it would be great incentive for him to pass haha. Walking bare foot does feel pretty amazing too.
