Oh and I'm extremely cold. My office is 21 degrees at the moment and I am freezing cold. Have been feeling very cold for the last few days.

Ladymillion · 08/04/2014 13:40

My first symptom was my acne flaring up. I have always suffered from big painful spots since I was a teenager but was treated with isotretinoin last year and they disappeared! Then during the two-week wait they started popping up again as soon as 4DPOHmm that was the first clue that something was happening. By 8DPO I was having AF-type cramping, feeling fatigue and also quite irritable! At 9DPO I felt really emotional, cried over a minor thing and also (TMI) lotion-like cm (it was like a moisturiser consistency) and I knew then that something was different as I'd never seen this type of cm before. Then nothing more until 12DPO when I got a very very faint line on a hpt Wink

On day af due n two days after I felt really hot, feint n had sore boobs but didn't know if heat n feint was coz I was on n off the tube visiting London! Day after af was starting to feel sick n got really bad on 2dpo which made me poas as couldn't cope!!

Lolly, now my morning sickness has gone I have no symptoms. I was joking to dh that the dox n midwives have just taken our word for it n we could be lying about it!

I know helen-going quick! Still waiting for a scan date. My sister just noticed me wearing a maternity bra oops.Had to say its coz primark don't sell my size n I needed one without underwire so maternity was the only option. Fx she believes me.

Glad morning sickness has gone-it was horrible! Still can't eat certain foods like pasta n have developed a liking for chicken n chips, but hopefully going back to normal now :-)

*2 days post af due, not post ovulation! !

weebairn · 08/04/2014 19:08

I didn't have any symptoms until about 5 and a half weeks - initially it was slight nausea.

KikiThePea · 08/04/2014 20:17

Hi, chilly, I'm doing well, thanks. Big family wedding this weekend, which is going to be a test of stamina!

My symptoms were the weird hot leg thing (which I probably went on about a little too much...), crying over stupid things even though I never cry - annoyingly this one has stuck around. I had really quite horrible cramps so was convinced af was on her wicked way; I did, for a few days, also have a pain in my side that I could only describe as feeling like a stitch.

Good call on the bra excuse, misskgb!

Midwife appointment number 2 tomorrow. It's only going to be a 15 minute one, apparently, so not too sure what to expect other than a quick chat, probably a quick prod, and a run through of my notes.

misskgb · 08/04/2014 21:26

Are u 15 weeks kiki? My mw said second appt is 15 weeks n its to go through blood, urine n scan results. Not sure if thats the same in other places tho x

OP posts:
KikiThePea · 08/04/2014 21:46

Ooh, thanks for that, misskgb. I guess it will be similar as I'm at 16 weeks. The mw here does a urine test at every appointment, and I'm hoping that the blood conversation is pretty straightforward as I had the tests done at 7 weeks after my first appointment - I guess they'd have called if there was anything that required an urgent conversation (I'm hoping so at least!). My 20 week scan is booked in for 1st May and then nothing else happens until 25 weeks (at which point the schedule seems to go a bit mad with fortnightly appointments) x

mrshjb · 09/04/2014 09:04

Thanks for all the stories girls! I'm about 7dpo if everything is as it seems.I'm not symptom spotting because I know it's crazy but if I was I have the worse patches of spots I've had since coming off the pill, a random sore nipple and I've had some pinchy, tightening feelings on both sides very low down on my stomach. Told dh this morning and said I know that my body is crazy so cant read much in to it.... and he just said yeah don't bother thinking about it. Awesome advice, really wish I'd have thought of that before!!!

16 weeks kiki, that's so crazy that your coming up to half way there!! Have you got much of a bump yet?

mrshjb · 09/04/2014 09:05

Laughed at your sister story misskgb! Are you waiting for 12 weeks to tell her?

misskgb · 09/04/2014 17:27

We're trying to wait for the scan yh. Im away when I turn 12 weeks so hopefully they'll bring it forward n not put it back!

The main reason we're not telling is so neither of us have to deal with our mothers! Mine already has 6 grandkids but she's desperate for me to have one n means she'll invite herself round more often. Can't say no if she turns up as she lives an hour n half away! DHs mum has 2 sons only 1 married, no daughters n is gonna be a nightmare, especially if we have a girl! Neither me or dh like fuss really! !

Hey ladies, looks like everyone is fine and dandy. Thanks for all symptoms. Had my first appt today and male doc was so lovely. He didn't test which I kinda wish he did. He asked lots of questions, weighed me and took height and told me what happens next re midwife. Was really nice to tell someone else. I was surprised the next stage will be a home visit from midwife? Is that normal?

My sis sent me over a few pregnancy books yesterday which was lovely. She knows I'm a terrible googler and has told me these books are better than googling so I am sticking to them for the mo.

Misskgb love the bra story! Kiki I am amazed how fast it's going for you. May not feel like it to you but omg.

Helen if only DH really knew what it was really like. We just become so conscious of our bodies and can't help it. What you are feeling can only be positive eh??

Xx

mrshjb · 10/04/2014 07:58

Haha looks like it'll be invasion of the grandparents for you then misskgb!

lolly glad your appointment went well. I think reading the books is definitely better for you than googling. Google is scary regardless of what you're going through isn't it!

I know. I think it's much easier to ignore the whole thing when it's not you who's experiencing every twinge etc. I don't know, I think it's probably stuff I get a lot of the time but don't think anything of it normally. I was doing so well over the last couple of weeks but this last day or so I can feel the pressure of the tww hanging over me. It really is awful :( I don't feel like I could have done anything else this cycle, so if it doesn't happen at least I can't blame myself. I'm unbelievably jealous of people who get pregnant straight away and don't have to go through this every month!!!xx

mrshjb · 10/04/2014 07:59

P.s. Lolly, my sister's second appt was the midwife home visit!

misskgb · 10/04/2014 18:10

Super excited to get my scan date-8th may. Will be 13+2 by then. Can feel a little pouch appearing but im not sure if its dependent on the clothes I wear.

Fx for u Helen-good to hear you're coping (relatively) well!!

mrshjb · 11/04/2014 06:29

Ooh how exciting. Bet you can't wait and will be counting down the days! Sure it'll come round pretty quickly :)

binkybunny · 12/04/2014 08:01

Just popping into say hi!

Sickness is slowly going away on having the occassional gag now. Even cooked some tasty dinners for the first time since Jan!

misskjb nothing can prepare you for your first scan. Its just amazing. I was surprised I only shed on or two tears. I thought I'd be bawling!

H where abouts are you up to now in your cycle?

mrshjb · 12/04/2014 15:00

I think its going to be day 1 for me tomorrow. Had cramps yesterday and bloated and having brown spotting today. Fingers crossed for the next cycle....!

binkybunny · 12/04/2014 16:36

H will keep fx either way for you!

misskgb · 12/04/2014 16:52

If af does arrive, how many days does that make this cycle? X

OP posts:
mrshjb · 12/04/2014 17:34

I'm on 32 days today so that's pretty good really compared to last month. And after last month I'm pretty relieved I didn't get to the stage where I had to keep seeing bfns!

misskgb · 12/04/2014 22:25

Awwww well whether its af or turns out to be your bfp, ,properly routing for you! !

OP posts:
mrshjb · 13/04/2014 07:39

Thank you :) still just the odd bit of brown spotting at the minute, which is weird. I've only had it on the long cycles before, but I'm still think it's AF not implantation or anything. Wish it would just hurry up and start properly so next cycle can begin!

mrshjb · 13/04/2014 19:46

OK so the brown spotting started to disappear this morning and has totally stopped since dinner time ish. Please can someone give me a virtual slap and remind me that this is much more likely to be very very slow start to AF as oppose to implantation bleeding or anything bfp related......

misskgb · 13/04/2014 20:53

I can't do the slap h as it could be something much more positive! I don't know much about implantation bleeding but the fact its been brown n not red could make a difference to your thinking, especially with your cramping.. You might need to give it a day or two n poas maybe? ?
