Artoo 35 DH 35 no kids yet. TTC since July 2005 (15 months). On 7th clomid cycle, trying IUI alongside for the first time. Not optimistic, as the IUI confirmed DH's low sperm count, so planning to start IVF in the new year.

I'm a bit of a fraud hanging around here still, as this will be my last clomid cycle, but I don't have anywhere else to go, and I like it around here...

Hugs,
Artoo.

cc 29 dh 33 no kids. ttc for two years as being chilled out until found out not ov'ing so can hardly say we were ttc! Excited about my new pills.

I feel like you Awen - so excited. Has anyone else started to worry about multiple birth factor though or is that just me getting ahead of myself. I've figured twins I could do but more I'm not sure

coggy · 15/10/2006 20:58

cc...there was a thread about that fairly recently...I'll see if I can find it.

I think the general opinion was that it isn't necessary to worry. Most people seem to only have had one......I go and search...........!!

OP posts:
coggy · 15/10/2006 21:03

Some of this may (or maynot) be useful.
The link that Twiglett gives is quite interesting.....I think they say a 5% chance of twins and not likely triplets.

I'm sure I was told a much higher twin percentage...but maybe I was just flapping!!!!!

Have a read!

How are you?
And Fifi????

OP posts:
ccpink · 16/10/2006 20:11

Thanks Coggy. The stats are reassuring. Though apparently I already have twins in my family. I figure if it happens would get it all done in one go! Still excited

coggy · 16/10/2006 22:14

My DH has twins in his family too.....grandparents were twins and so are his cousins.....oh well...............

When we were ttc before he kept saying how nice it would be to have our own twins.....I was not so sure!!!!

Now it looks like we may need to have IUI treatment and the liklihood of multiplies goes up significantly....so he may get his wish after all!!!

Scary!!!!!

OP posts:
Rachee · 16/10/2006 22:57

I have twins in my family too ! on mum's side. but from what i have seen of clomid , it doesn't produce twins , hardly ever. so don't worry about the multiple thing...

Thanks all..... it is great to be back to such a wnderful welcome.

Fifi and i are doing great, she is a little treasure, learning fast ( thanx to ' it's me or the dog' on TV) LOL.

xXx

Artoo · 17/10/2006 06:06

My DH and I have always considered the twins thing a nice problem to have

I have a friend with twins (IVF), and I've seen what hard work it is, so it's not something I'd wish upon myself. But when you can't see how you're going to get pregnant at all, ANY healthy pregnancy is a blessing.

DH and I would love to have 2 kids anyway, at least twins gets that all over and done with in one fell swoop ;)

Hugs,
Artoo.

coggy · 17/10/2006 07:30

LOL Artoo....that's exactly what my DH says....let's get it done all in one go!!!

Hmmm...........!!!

Natty1806 · 21/10/2006 07:44

When on clomid does your ov day stay roughly the same and your LP days? Its just my lap & dye is when my period is due i think and i will need to have it moved and not sure when to ring up etc and i have go really achey period pains today which makes me think i may ov earlier??

Rachee · 22/10/2006 19:31

Lap and Dye should be done in the early stages of a cycle. ( but i didn't think whilest on) but not sure, if it is done when you MIGHT be pg, just tell them, it can still be done.

I think the stats list was great idea.... well done the brain behind it !

coggy · 22/10/2006 20:40

I am on my first cycle of clomid 50mg. I get AF day 27-28.I used opk and got result day 14.Its now day 29 and no AF and no BFP.

My boobs are really sore and I feel just as I did when I was pregnant with my two daughters hence why I tested today

I hear clomid can mess up your system, has anyone else experienced this?
