Morning all, thanks for the scone calories Andi, I think that is about right, 150 cals.

Well, there must have been something in the air last night, I was VERY bad! I drank half a bottle of red wine and I did not have enough Checks (that is what we call each 25 cal unit at SS) for it so now I am over my Check allowance for my weigh in tonight, very disappointed in myself but hey, that's life.

Will let you know how I get on tonight.

How about all of you? Good result Coggy? LOL about the dinner Andi, my DH is exactly the same and wonders why he does not lose weight! He had about 500g on nuts yesterday when I told him I had counted him in 30g!!

wannaBe1974 · 16/08/2006 11:03

morning all

well weighed this morning and have lost another 1 lb, so that's half a stone since starting. Tbh not sure how I managed this lb as haven't exercised for past two days because of ds being ill and haven't been as good as I should be but maybe previous exercise has counted in my favour.

andi0411 · 16/08/2006 12:09

MrsMc- good luck with the weigh in tonight- I'm sure last nights tiny slip won't slow things down- esp if you're good today....LOL re: your nut saga- men don't seem to have any idea about fat/cals etc do they? I must admit today I have felt a bit tired of dieting and could really do with some stodge, of the savoury variety- perhaps a nice big fat cheese sandwich etc...No, no I must refrain. Going to have a ryvita instead...mmm.Not.
Congrats Wanna on your pound loss- hope ds is better now?

coggy · 16/08/2006 12:23

Excellent wannaBe...good result!

Well my hula hoops didn't make too much difference!!
I lost 1 1/2 pounds....whooohoo!
Now lost 6 pounds in two weeks so I am well chuffed.

It'll slow down now though cos that was a 2-week kick start....I'll have to start exercising now too!!

5,883 steps already today!
I'm going for my 10,000....even with my blisters!!!

MrsMc.....good luck tonight.
Natty....hope you're being good wherever you are (haven't seen you for a while, hope you are okay.)

Natty1806 · 16/08/2006 17:24

Natty1806 · 17/08/2006 07:33

hiya all

well done on the weight loss coggy, and welcome Tash. Lol natty ab attack? sounds ve scary. reminds me of some exercise gaget my mother bought from qvc or some such place, called an ab roller or something like that, you do it on the floor and it's supposed to be good for toning - nearly kills ya more like, lol.

Well this morning I was disciplined, as ds hasn't been well I haven't been able to exercise since Monday, but got up this morning before ds (and he's still asleep actually) and did 30 mins on the cross trainer, yay I am up to 30 mins! only three weeks till I go on holiday so have to work ve hard now, hopefully ds will will go to nursery tomorrow and I can go swimming - haven't been for two weeks now because of af and ds.

Angsthase · 17/08/2006 08:57

God, you're all being sooo good!!

I'm on day 3 (again) of no alc, but must confess that I bought some caramel slices last night - think af definately on the way as sweet tooth has appeared - only ate one though!!!

Well done on the weight loss Coggy - 6lb - I'd be jumping up and down with delight.

Wannabe - another 1lb and all that exercise - you're sooo disciplined.

Natty - ab attack - is there a course called arse attack too , show me where to sign

Welcome to the madhouse Tash!

coggy · 17/08/2006 10:26

LOL at the arse attack!!!!!

I need to attack everything!!!!!

MrsMcJnr · 17/08/2006 11:25

Morning ladies - I have had a huge wavering!

Went to my class, walked there and all was going well until the class started. The usual lady was on holiday and the stand in was dire, awful. She droned on for 40 minutes about nothing really - saying things like "get more active - I don't mean go to an aerobics class but change the bed once a week, everyone likes a clean bed" It was like something off little Britain! Then I got on the sclaes and I had lost 1 1/2 pounds.

Now, that should have made me happy. It's in the right direction etc etc BUT I had been so good and was hoping for a bumper loss and didn't get it

I know that losses can take a week to catch up (as can gains) and that I might be heavier at this time of the month or it might be muscle due to the walking etc etc butI still felt really fed up.

Then to top it off, she announced that the class was being moved from my handy local hotel 20 mins walk away to a miner's club a couple of villages away - gggrrrrrrrrr!

Anyway, my friend joined and we had our planned glass of wine together afterwards but I was still sulking and when I got home...oh dear, even ashamed to type it I had 1/2 bottle more wine and half a treacle steamed pudding with custard! The custard was diet though .

I feel more positive today and will just start again and rule off last night!!

I have my pedometer on again Coggy. It said I did 12982 yesterday but I am sceptical. It is currently on 1663 and I have hardly moved all morning.

How are you all?

Angsthase · 17/08/2006 11:39

MrsMJ - 1 1/2lb is great. At least you cheated on the same night, now you have 7 days to make up for it
DH coming home tonight, so will definately fall off the wagon, but hopefully not too far...

Natty1806 · 17/08/2006 12:26

Mrs - 1.5lbs loss it very good, anymore than 2 lbs and generally you will be losing water not fat. So pat yourself on the back, keep up the hard work .

OP posts:
MrsMcJnr · 17/08/2006 14:04

Thank you for your kind words ladies. I know 1 1/2 is a good steady loss and if I can do that every week from here on in, I will be happy but I was just hoping for a better, bumper start!

Good luck to you both and enjoy DH being home Angsthase!

coggy · 17/08/2006 19:24

Excellent loss MrsMc!!
Same as me - couldn't have you beating me this week now could we??!!!

I want your pedometer!!
Yesterday I did an aerobics class and walked the dog and was generally active all day and I got to 11,080.

Today I have done a coupkle of hours of shopping and a dog walk and only on 5,845....your pedometer sounds much more my style!!!

coggy · 17/08/2006 19:25

Your weigh-day tomorrow Natty?
Good luck this week - should be good with your Ab Attack and all!!!

Natty1806 · 17/08/2006 20:41

Thanks coggy really hope i have lost a bit.

Well done Natty!!

Gosh all you ladies are setting high standards to meet. I will have to do something energetic over the w/e. I'm sure DH will be up for that that's assuming AF doesn't arrive today or tomorrow.
Only had 1/2 a lager and a glass of white wine last night. That's a start at least!!

MrsMcJnr · 18/08/2006 10:28

Morning ladies, well done Natty. I am really impressed by the classes too.

I was meant to get up early and do a Davina work out this morning but it was too snuggly in bed with DH!

I was naughty last night again! Had red wine, about 1/2 bottle - will have to have mushrooms on a piece of toast for my lunch for the whole week to recoup I reckon.

Coggy - my pedometer is definatley on the blink, it is regsitering 1500 and I have done nothing. I got this one from Tesco. My WW one was much more harsh, don't think I ever cracked 10k in a day. Have a good day ladies!

geordiemacminx · 18/08/2006 10:34

Not sure whether anyone is interested but there are some slimming tablets available from most health food stores and also on ebay that I used to take that I found really good. They are called Thermo slim..and work by suppressing your appertite and speeding up your metabolisim. I know some people dont agree with them, but as someone who has always struggled with her weight and has a very loving relationship with food I found that they worked wonders for me. You take 2 between 9 and 10 and 2 between 2 and 3. For the first week they sometimes make you feel a little "jittery" if that makes sense but apart from that they are cool. I think the are about £30 for 90 days... although they are not recommended for pregnant ladies... obviously.xxx
