Well made it there and back to Germany. Airport wasn't too bad atall.

Weigh in this am was 69.7Kg, down 0.3Kg which is better than I expected after all the beer I've been drinking this weekend. Back on the wagon until Thurs at least (DH comes home on Thurs)

Well done all you "loosers" - IFSWIM!!!! Keep up the good work.

MrsMcJnr · 14/08/2006 09:31

Wow! A weight loss after a trip, I am impressed! Glad you got there and back ok. I am back on the wagon too. Until Weds after weigh in when my friend and I are going to treat ourselves to a glass of wine after weigh in. We figure if we can look forward to a glass on a Weds, we might make it through the rest of the week - sad aren't we!

Angsthase · 14/08/2006 11:11

Sounds like a plan MrsMJ. I'm supposed to be going to a kareoke night on wed, but have returned with a stinking cold, so may knock it on the head - especially as can't drink - and would need a stiff one before getting up and singing!
At least being ill definately makes knocking off the booze easier. LOL

MrsMcJnr · 14/08/2006 11:14

Poor you, I felt lousy all last week so can commiserate.

coggy · 14/08/2006 11:29

MrsMc - I've been holding out 'til Weds before having a drink too!!!!

Don't want to jepordise the 2-week-mega-blast start!!!

But roll on Weds night and I'm going to enjoy myself!!!

MrsMcJnr · 14/08/2006 12:06

Hi Coggy, I must admit jumping off the wagon at the weekend, having a few G&Ts and glasses of wine and then jumping back on this morning (well bedtime last night!). I did count everything in though so still on track for a good result on Weds hopefully. How are you getting on? anymore interesting butter bean dishes?

coggy · 14/08/2006 13:40

That BBB is consigned to the freezer!!! LOL!!
Nice quorn sausages tonight...yum.

I've got a pedometer on.....you're supposed to walk 10,000 steps a day and not need anymore exercise.

Easy-peasy (I thought)...I go up and down stairs all the time as I'm so forgetful...I thought I'd get up to about 9,000 or so and just do some stepping on the spot each evening to make it up.

Hmmmm.....it's 1.38pm....I've been wearing it since I got up at about 8.00am and guess how many steps I've done.......?

591......that's it!!!! [horror emoticon]
I need to get out and walk the dog!!!!!!!

MrsMcJnr · 14/08/2006 14:25

I know exactly what you mean about the pedometer, it's a shock isn't it? I must start wearing mine again, especially for the walks but now that poor DH has hurt his back, not sure how much walking I'll get this week - it's our relax time together in the evening.

coggy · 14/08/2006 14:55

I am now on 632....must go NOW and walk the dog!!!!!

wannaBe1974 · 14/08/2006 15:14

hiya all

lol coggy I've been thinking about getting a pedometre as well - I found a talking one recently which would be just right for me but resisted the urge to buy it.

Wasn't hugely good over the weekend - ILs came to stay so make cake and chocolate mousse etc. I'll say one thing though, this dieting has definitely changed my appetite, as was unable to eat as much as I usually am. Also didn't gain any weight when weighed this morning. Didn't lose any either, but no gain is good considering. Did 27 minutes on the cross trainer this morning - almost at that half an hour. Can still only manage about 6 mins on the rower as well. Can't swim at the moment due to the presence of af, but as soon as that disappears I'll be back in the pool.

coggy · 14/08/2006 16:19

Sounds all good stuff to me wannaBe...I've got some of my family down at the end of the summer and they all want Devon Cream Teas, clotted cream ice-creams, fish and chips by the harbour etc. etc.

T'will be BAD for my diet but I will LOVE it!!!!

coggy · 14/08/2006 16:22

Oh.........and don't bother with the pedometer...I am depressed!!!

I thought it would be fairly easy to do 10,000 steps.....

I've just walked the dog for 50 minutes!!!!!!
And they were 50 fast walking minutes...only stopping every now and again for weeing and pooing!!

Guess how many on my blimin' pedometer now?

Well I thought after all that effort I'd be well up to my daily target - hopefully over.....say about...12,000?

No.

6,382

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr..........!!

coggy · 14/08/2006 18:04

I've got blisters on my feet!!!!

andi0411 · 14/08/2006 19:40

Lol Coggy- what number you upto now?
Had a bad week-end diet wise but am not weiighing again until w'end- obsessing about ttc...can't start with the scales thinf IYKWIM?

coggy · 14/08/2006 19:42

I might get some more numbers on the thing if I wasn't sat on MN!!!

Mind you....with blisters...what can you do??!!

6759 - hasn't gone up much in the past 3 hours has it??!!!

coggy · 14/08/2006 23:16

Right - quick update before I go to bed......

...the day has ended on 7,080 steps.
How the heck you're supposed to do 10,000 on a normal day I'm not sure...but going to wear it to my class on Weds and see what happens!!!

Ought to also confess that a few of those steps don't actually count. I discovered that if you pull your trousers up and down enthusiastically whenever you need the loo....it adds on about 4 steps each time!!!!!!

Angsthase · 15/08/2006 08:52

LOL - you're a pedo-cheat already after one day. It took me at least 3 before I started with the trouser tricks

coggy · 15/08/2006 11:16

That's bad isn't it??!!
...one woman at my slimming class does her 10,000 a day and she's over 70 years old!!!!

Oh the shame of it!!!!!

MrsMcJnr · 15/08/2006 11:34

Hello everyone! LOL at the trouser dropping trick Coggy! Know what you mean about the 10K, how on earth does anyone manage that?

Had a breakfast disaster and had to have a small bran scone (no butter) instead - how many calories do you reckon that would be?

Made Cottage pie and soup for tonight last night so otherwise feeling virtuous. I do feel like I have lost some weight though, my trousers are a bit loser and my face (which is a very round Moonface type) appears to have a little more definition. We'll see tomorrow. Hope everyone has a good day!

andi0411 · 15/08/2006 18:57

Hi everyone- glad to see everyone's trying really hard..despite toilet cheats...hee hee/!! Mrs Mc I think a small scone is 150 cals -i got a cal counter book from e bay yesterday so i can check if you want?
I've had a good day despite tea tonight- dp made it and he thought quiche and salad would be very low in cals....but it was cheese, egg, bacon and sausage quiche and the salad he made was with oil dressing, cheese- the full works!! Bl*dy hell- I may as well have had a lard burger and be done with it!! Bless him- i said mothing and picked bits hence keeping the cals below 8 million. xx

coggy · 15/08/2006 22:11

Bless him Andi!!

My DH keeps saying that I've done so well I deserve some chocolate/ cake/ pasty!!!

Aaaaaaarghh!! What's wrong with them???!!!

I actually freaked out tonight and devored (not just ate...!) a bag of hula hoops.
I've been SO good for two whole weeks and could bear it no longer tonight!!!

Weigh in tomorrow moring - I'm sure they can't have made any difference to that eh?!

andi0411 · 15/08/2006 22:32

Coggy i know! It's like they want to reward you....with food and it's all meant so positively that you just can't say anything. I may suggest rewarding me with clothes, make-up and jewellary..see how that goes down. LOL.
Anyway good luck with the weigh -in in the morning- those hula hoops shouldn't matter a jot and I bet they were bloomin lovely. I have a weakness for savoury; crisps, cheese , nibbles and I haven't had a pack of crisps for 2 weeks, my mouth is watering at the thought of your lovely hoola hoops!! xx

coggy · 15/08/2006 22:34

They were salt and vinegar ones and I don't even normally like them!!

Shows how desperate I was for naughty food!!!!!

I made sure that I jumped up and down for a while to get extra pedometer steps before I ate them!!!!!

mimi1uk · 15/08/2006 22:54

u around coggy

andi0411 · 16/08/2006 06:26

Morning ladies- how's it all going?

Coggy how did your weigh-in go, did the jumping around take you over the 10k?

How's everyone else's diet going?
