Well done.

Afraid i am failing terribly, weigh day tomorrow but have curry takeaway last night and cake.

After this week i am going to give it one last shot and if i still can't find the motivation i am going to give up for a while after all i still fit in my jeans and am going to the gym i would just like the number on the scales to be different.

Well done MrsMc!!!

Natty - if you are going to the gym you should be fine....a few currys are good for you (I say so!!!)

Angsthase · 10/08/2006 12:59

Well done MrsMJ very impressive.

I have a feeling I may need a very stiff drink by the time I arrive in Germany! Looking forward to being at stansted for a very long time tonight...

Natty1806 · 10/08/2006 13:11

Thanks coggy - it just seems like i have been trying to lose this half a stone for years now. Would be happy with just toning up now.

Angst you may wish to rethink your trip. have you cehcked your flight is still going? Here is the latest info about Stansted:

All Easyjet flights from the airport have been cancelled.

Armed police have blocked the drop-off point at the airport and passengers are being moved into the short-stay car park so that officers can control access to the terminal, an Essex police spokeswoman said.

There are also reports that inbound flights are seriously disrupted. Ryanair said that many of its first wave of flights had still not departed and were suffering five-hour delays.

Passengers have been urged to contact their airlines and not travel unless it is absolutely necessary.

The departures area at Stansted is packed with queuing passengers.

hi ladies- thanks for the praise and good luck to you on your weigh ins!!!
Whats that warning message...does anyone know- is it to do with the thread in the current affairs section- mumsnet was on the itv news yesterday.

coggy · 10/08/2006 22:32

Andi - I'm guessing it's to do with the news and MN at the moment....

andi0411 · 10/08/2006 23:23

Thats what i thought. have reg my support of mumsnet on the current affairs thread

Natty1806 · 11/08/2006 08:04

That fine Natty......
Keep it up at the gym and try for one strict week and you'll be sorted.

I find that I loose larger amounts of weight with no alcohol...that's definitely my problem!!!

If you do no alcohol for a week before the week before AF (if you see what I mean) you should see a real difference.
The week before AF is always a disappointment as you weigh more cos of AF!!

Well done.

Natty1806 · 11/08/2006 09:44

Thanks coggy and going to try and be good this week.

Thank God it's Friday - I am going to have my first drink since Sunday, yippee! I'll be good and count it in though. Are you Saints out there going to have a dry weekend? really?

Natty1806 · 11/08/2006 11:28

I am going out for lunch with the girls tomorrow so might have one glass of wine but that's it.

wannaBe1974 · 11/08/2006 11:44

have ILs coming this weekend - making chocolate mousse - must resist, must resist.

Tried to go on the cross trainer last night but just couldn't, too tired, definitely better at exercising in the morning, I think maybe it's easier to exercise in the morning because you have energy then whereas, esp if you're dieting, energy levels are depleted by evening, that's my excuce anyway.

MrsMcJnr · 11/08/2006 12:09

Apparently it is better to exercise in the morning if you do fat burning as then your body continues to burn fat all day says Davina any exercise has got to be good though hasn't it? DH and I went for an 1hr30 walk last night so felt like I'd done something.

andi0411 · 12/08/2006 06:48

Hi girls- I know it's early but I just got weighed aft my first week of cal counting and have lost 4 pounds!! Granted I haven't had an alc drink all week so that could be it, but who cares- 4 pounds is good right? However I'm out with 4 couples tonight for an Indian so I'll prob put 8 pounds on!!!
Also i have been doing callanetics at home from the book i used to use in my early 20's to keep the weight off- it's great!!
Let me know how everyone is getting on?

Natty1806 · 12/08/2006 08:51

Well done

OP posts:
coggy · 12/08/2006 08:55

Excellent Andi.....it's DEFINITELY the alcohol thing with me!!!!

Sounds like a confession that!!!!!

andi0411 · 12/08/2006 11:08

Hi Coggy i know what you mean re :the alc thing- it is that which puts me my weight on- blast it!! It was when I started drinking wine- now I really do sound like I have a prob - that i noticed the pounds creeping on- esp round my middle!!!!

coggy · 12/08/2006 11:12

I sat on my DHs lap the other night and he said "Wow...you feel lighter" bless him....I've lost 4 1/2 pounds not stones!!!!!

I asked him how much he thought I weighed (just out of interest)....he weighs a slim and toned 12 stone and I am a porky flabby 11 1/2 stone so not a lot of difference .

He said I was probably about 9 1/2 stone!!!!!
I'm so glad he has no clue!!!!!!!!!

MrsMcJnr · 13/08/2006 14:49

Well done Andi, that's brilliant. I agree about the alcohol and where it sits too.

Natty - it is years since I got into my fav jeans this time (when I am back where I should be) I am not going to stop wearing them, they are a great measure of putting on weight for me.

Luckily for me (but not DH) we have both put on 2 stone each over the last 5 years so we have the same amount to lose.

We have been SO good since Thurs, we have had the odd G&T and bottles of wine but they have all been counted in so I am really hopeful that I'll get a bumper loss on Weds. Plus we've been on a walk of at least 1hr30 each day. Fingers crossed.

Have a great weekend (what's left of it)!

andi0411 · 13/08/2006 16:13

Thanks mrs mc- good luck with your weight loss too- that walk every day should do the trick i think.
Coggy my dp is also a v trim 12 stone and he also has no idea what i weigh-he said 9 stone- god love him!! he hasn't got a clue. he said last night ' you don't need to lose any weight for me!' But he's been very supportive though.

coggy · 13/08/2006 16:20

It's great that they're so rubbish at estimating isn't it??!!!

andi0411 · 13/08/2006 18:47

It's fantastic!!He really hasn't got a clue.
Haven't been so good over the w'end- indian meal last night with friends and lovely Sunday roast today...not to worry, you need to let it go s' times.
