Angsthase · 11/09/2006 10:13

69.6Kg. Not good, not bad. At least I'm back under 11 Stone (Just)!

I'm going to keep an alcohol diary on here (which will hopefully be empty this week!). I'll start from last Thursday as that was when DH (my evil coercer(sp)) left!!
Thursday Zero
Friday Zero
Saturday 1 bottle beer / 3 glasses cava / 1/2 glass Rose. Spread over 12 hours.
Sunday 3 bottles beer / 1/2 pint lager

Oh dear, and I started sooo well. Defo off the alc now for the rest of the week. Promise.

Exercise:
Thursday 30min run
Saturday 45min pilates video (still can't sit up on my own from that!! - need to hold on to something). I am SOOO out of shape.

Food confessions:
Shared a bowl of chips on saturday for lunch.
Crisp sandwich instead of cooking

How's everyone else doing?

MrsMcJnr · 11/09/2006 10:16

Angsthase, can I join you on the alcohol count? I really need to cut back and intend to have a dry week until Fri and only have a few this weekend. I will seek you out for support as you seem to have a good iron will for the booze! Well done with the weight, it is a very long time since I was under 11 stone!

Angsthase · 11/09/2006 10:23

You're on MrsMcJ. Just remember our mantra:

My body is a temple, my body is a temple.

And remember no crap is allowed into temples!!

That way there'll be no chance for blueberry muffins either

And as you reach for that bottle of wine you can imagine me before you wagging my finger in disapproval

MrsMcJnr · 11/09/2006 10:56

Ok, sounds good to me - to date I have been treating my body like a dumpster instead of a temple! re the muffin, I so needed some sugar to get out and about today!

Natty1806 · 11/09/2006 17:40

confession just reaf this whilst eating haribo sweets. Bad natty

OP posts:
coggy · 11/09/2006 21:21

I've eaten haribo sweets today the first time in months!!!
I don't even like them??!!
Why????!!!!

My wine intake has also been a poor show...two glasses every night for the past week...ooops!

I desperately want to be under 11 stone....only a few pounds off but feel the urge because DH is on the border b't'n 11 and 12 stone and nearly under the magic 12 stone mark.
I don't want to be in the same 'stone-age' as him.....especially as he thinks I only weigh 9 1/2 stone...bless him!!!

I MUST exercise this week......don't let me forget.....
LOL at the old body after that pilates vid Juicy!!!
Note to Angsthase....NO pilates video around ov time!!!! You'll be in no fit state to BD!!!

Natty1806 · 12/09/2006 07:05

I know this will sound silly but when you are in the two week wait is it okay to exercise as normal? And then if you do get pregnant what are the guide lines? Am i still okay to go to the gym if i feel up to it? Would i have to tell the gym?

OP posts:
coggy · 12/09/2006 07:08

If it's exercise that you're used to then there is no problem in 2WW or when pg.

The general advice is not to start anything NEW when pg as it could be too much strain.

I carried on with my training when I was pg but then I felt too sick for a month or so so I stopped.

Angsthase · 12/09/2006 08:52

Right that's good enough for me - no more pilates in the 2WW My stomach has still not recovered anyway!!

Will just have to keep trying to run.

Monday:
Alcohol: NONE

Food: Someone brought in some jelly beans and I succumbed

Exercise: Exercise wot exercise??

Heho, will go for run tonight to make up for it... Honest

MrsMcJnr · 12/09/2006 10:44

Morning ladies! Here is my summary of yesterday:

Monday:
Alcohol: NONE

Food: Ignoring the muffin, suprisingly well considering dinner out
Exercise: Exercise - mmmmm can't even promise to do any tonight as have a meeting until 8.30pm (yawn, yawn!)

Weigh in tomorrow - what on earth am I going to say?!

Natty1806 · 12/09/2006 18:52

Thanks coggy that is what i thought was just a bit worried about the weights but i can re programme when i need to.

As for me been good, rivita's and weight watchers cup a soup for lunch and snacking on 3 pieces of fruit in the day. Going to try and keep this up.

Well done ladies on the no booze i don't drink in the week at all so no problem there for me, but can understand it must be hard if you are use to it.

OP posts:
coggy · 12/09/2006 19:42

I have been cr*p!!!!

Please excuse me!!!
My weigh-in tomorrow and (hopefully) the fact that I've put weight on will shock me into behaving myself!!!!!

Angsthase · 13/09/2006 09:48

How was the weigh-in Coggy and MrsMJ?

Went for a run last night. Think this is ok in the 2WW, as I've been doing it a while and it's not that strenuous, only 30 mins.

Another night of no booze, but 2nd night I stayed up past 1am, not good as I definately need more than 6 hours sleep.

Natty, you are our Champion of Sobriety
I'm hoping this will become a habit for me too, (no booze in the week). It's so much better for your body to have 3 or 4 booze free days/nights. Now just need to convince DH of it's merits - climbing Everest would be easier LOL.

Fell down on the food front though, as didn't get back from my first Reiki session until 9:30, so succumbed to beans on toast

Must do better

Angsthase · 13/09/2006 09:49

3 or 4 booze free days/nights PER WEEK of course!

As opposed to per year as it has been for me

MrsMcJnr · 13/09/2006 10:59

Morning ladies!

Natty, you are a true inspiration, if only I could lunch with you!

Angsthase - forgive me, I have sinned BUT I have a good excuse! I was in a meeting after work from 5pm - 10pm with my directors, there was wine and I had one glass, I thought about saying no but then thought they would think I was pregnant because I am normally such a boozer and I don't want that so just had the one! Avoided the crisps though! Well done for the run & your dinner was healthier than mine which was a cup of tea and peanut butter on toast.

Dreading the weigh in tonight, sneak preview weigh in showed me up a pound! Coggy, we are not really taking our competition too seriously are we, well there is always next week!!

Angsthase · 13/09/2006 12:02

MrsMJ - one slip in the week is allowed I think

It's harder to resist if temptation comes your way - needless to say at my friends after Reiki I only got offered Peppermint tea!

Good luck for the weigh in tonight!

MrsMcJnr · 13/09/2006 12:22

Thanks and I need that luck for tonight, oh dear!!

coggy · 13/09/2006 13:08

Angsthase.....LOL at your 3 drink free nights a year!!!
DH and I are a bit like that sometimes too!!!
Beans on toast is actually pretty good for you as long as it's without a load of butter.

And MrsMc...what a fantastic excuse!!!!!
I'm going to save that one for use at a later date!!!!!

Well...my body is doing it's own thing entirely!!
Which...for once...is a good thing!!!
I lost 1 1/2 pounds.
Two glasses of wine a night for 5 out of 7 nights and an indian takeaway......
Weird, weird, weird.............

....but I am liking it!!!!!

Angsthase · 13/09/2006 13:48

Coggy you jammy thing!

Have you been getting lots of horizontal exercise to excuse your lushing?

MrsMcJnr · 13/09/2006 14:17

Well done Coggy!!!!! You are obviously being more cautious than you think! Bet you feel good

coggy · 13/09/2006 14:22

I'm not quite sure how that happened??!!!

I know I am eating a lot less sweets and crisps etc. than I used to but not been really strict diet-wise.

Perhaps I was just SO awful before that any improvement is showing up.

Lost 11 1/2 pounds in total...

coggy · 13/09/2006 14:25

I've just read my post and I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO shocked at seeing that 11 1/2 pounds - I can't quite believe it's true!!

I've had to check my card three times today!!
The worrying thing is that I thought I looked okay(ish) before!!!
Still got another 10 1/2 pound to go I reckon.

MrsMcJnr · 13/09/2006 14:29

It really is a fantastic achievement Coggy! well done! I am sure you looked fine before but not as good as you will now and you must feel incredibly healthy having lost that much. Are you like me and have piled those pounds on over the years or did you put weight on quite rapidly?

coggy · 13/09/2006 14:37

Well the weird(er) thing is that I don't actually think I look any different!
My stomach is still bulging out over my trouser top and I still have muffin tops!!!

(Only learnt what those were yesterday on a TV show.....and yes.....I have them!!! )

I was like a twig until I went to Uni and discovered cider and KFC!!
Since then I've always been 'curvey'.
Put weigh on gradually when I met my DH through contentment and I've kindof dieted here and there with various degrees of success over the years but not too seriously!

Now I want to lose that extra bit so, hopefully, will be fitter for being pg.
I lost about a stone before falling pg with my ds and even when I was 9 months pg I didn't look very big.....it helps also that I'm a tall bird!!!

coggy · 13/09/2006 14:38

You did want my life history did you??!!

Sorry!
