Hi all,

DH & I are TTC DC3, we have DD 4 & DS 2, AF due 6th feb....

OP posts:
wiltingfast · 05/05/2014 19:56

I think I will, if only to know one way or the other. We've gone from a minor row about changing the car to mute horror baby might be gone.

I keep telling myself no cramping reaLly IS a good sign. But I'd nothing like this on the others and you really do just expect the same again don't you.

Hard to believe you're 14w tho Mabel! Whoo whee Grin! You must be telling people now, are you?

SweepTheHalls · 05/05/2014 20:06

Have you tested again wilting? With my loss at 5 and a half weeks last cycle, I tested negative, then started bleeding the following day.

busyDays · 05/05/2014 20:12

On no, wilting, I hope you are ok and it turns out to be nothing. I completely understand how you must be feeling. I kept spotting for several days until Saturday evening, then nothing at all yesterday and nothing so far today. When the bleeding first started I was utterly convinced that was the end of the pregnancy but now I am starting to feel more hopeful again. I did some googling and there are so many threads about women who had spotting and went on to have healthy babies. So fingers crossed for both of us.

wiltingfast · 05/05/2014 20:13

Oh really? I haven't tested again, have a test left so must do that later...

busyDays · 05/05/2014 20:19

I should really test again too as I haven't tested since Wednesday. I just feel a bit scared of the result and I don't have any tests in the house anyway. I have been telling myself all weekend that if I make it till Tuesday I will go out and buy one so I think I'm going to have to face up to it tomorrow ...

MabelMay · 05/05/2014 20:32

Busy and Wilting, honestly I don't think there's much point testing again since you're 95% likely to still get a BFP whatever is happening. [I got BFPs for 4 weeks after my MCs]. But like you said Busy spotting at this stage of pregnancy is really, really common. It's the most nervewracking part as it all settles in.

And wilting I'm really sure everything is fine! Smile I hadn't had anything like this spotting either in my previous PGs so goes to show every pregnancy is different even with the same mum! No heavy red bleeds and no cramping are pretty good signs.

Yes, have told all our family now and a few friends. Will start telling wider circles v soon as - out of pure pride and vanity - don't want people to think I'm just getting really fat!

Good luck ladies thinking of you and sending v sticky bean vibes. x

BeginnerSAHM · 06/05/2014 07:31

Joining the spotting club busy and wilting Confused... To add to what Mabel said, I did spot every day up until 9 weeks with DC2 and she's totally fine - currently making books about 'the fairE in trubl' downstairs (aged 4 1/2). However, it's also how my v v early miscarriages started so just have to wait and see... Gah. Good luck everybody.

Mabel - v glad all going well for you so far!!

I think I'm 5+6 today but not sure as I wasn't tracking period dates and am a bit irregular. This 'trying for a baby' thing happened rather suddenly in the end (after me campaigning for 3 1/2 years...). Really hope we all have sticky beans.

SweepTheHalls · 06/05/2014 07:52

Everything crossed for you guys, the early days are so tough.

Passthebiscuitspls · 06/05/2014 11:40

I've got everything crossed for all of you, I really hope everything is ok. I've heard so many people say that they spotted in the beginning and all was fine. I'm sure it will be ok. I think if you can afford it, get the early scan, I think I would, just to stop you panicking for another 6/7 weeks!

Judging by my last cycle, I'm going to ov between Monday and Wednesday next week. I'm determined not to miss the boat this month, I just hope OH agrees! ;) I hope this is the month!

Xx

wiltingfast · 07/05/2014 10:32

Was at the EPU yesterday. Everything loks good as far as they could tell. I've to go back Monday for a scan.

Bleed has stopped at least. They think it might be related to a procedure I had on my cervix a few years ago. Hope they are right!

Are you OPKing biscuits? The month I got pg, I opk'd....

Tranquilitybaby · 07/05/2014 10:43

I'm bailing out of this thread for a few months ladies. I got a bfp but then sadly suffered an ectopic 11 days ago. :(

I'll be back later in the year.

Good luck and congrats to those who are pg x

Passthebiscuitspls · 07/05/2014 12:26

Oh tranquility, I'm so very sorry to hear that. I hope you're being kind to yourself. Big hugs from me! Xx

Wilting; I have bought some but I can't not drink for 4 hrs before! So I'm not sure they are that accurate. I do have ov signs I.e. Pains and ewcm so I know around when it is. Last month was around 18-20 days so I'm thinking this month will be the same. Plus we are going on holiday so I'm hoping for lots of BD anyway! It's taken quite a few months with both my DC, I was hoping as I know when I ov it would be quicker. But I suppose I'm older as well! I take my hat off to people that do this for years, it's driving me mad already! ;)

Hope everyone else is ok?

Xx

busyDays · 07/05/2014 13:39

I'm so sorry tranquility, I hope you are ok. Lots of hugs from me too. xx

Tranquilitybaby · 07/05/2014 14:31

Thank you I appreciate it xx I'll be back when I can try again in three months x

Good luck to you all x

MabelMay · 07/05/2014 17:31

I'm so sorry tranquility. Ectopics are heartbreaking. Good luck to you - am sure we'll see you here and in pregnancy boards thereafter soon enough.
In the meantime, take care. x

SweepTheHalls · 07/05/2014 18:01

That's tough Tranquility.

I'm not OPKing, I did for a bit, but found that the stress of tracking so closely made everything even tougher.

wiltingfast · 07/05/2014 20:06

God that is awful Tranquillity :( how utterly utterly shit. Please go mind yourself x x x

Ended up in a&e again today. They offered to admit but I've opted to wait til Monday when at least dh will be home and can come with me. What a crap end to our april hopefulness...

BeginnerSAHM · 07/05/2014 22:05

So sorry Tranquility. Must be awful. Hope you recover well and will be keeping an eye out for you in a few months.

Wilting - oh no... Poor you, on your own! Hope you can get lots of rest and sleep. Still have fingers crossed for you... xx

MabelMay · 08/05/2014 04:20

Oh no wilting - why in A&E? More spotting? Thinking of you and fingers crossed. What happened?

MabelMay · 09/05/2014 18:50

Hey guys - it's been very quiet here recently and I"m just checking in to see all okay. Wilting - I've been thinking of you. How are things?

wiltingfast · 09/05/2014 21:18

Ah, I'm pretty sure the baby's gone. Waiting for scan on mon when dh will be home. All a bit surreal at mo.

Where are you now? Week 15? 16? Really hope I join the club soon :)

MabelMay · 09/05/2014 22:11

wilting so sorry to hear that. What makes you think baby is gone? Have you been bleeding and cramping? If it's mainly just spotting please don't give up hope. Remember me a few months back? Maybe you don't - but I was sure I was losing the pg too. And I didn't.
Not quite at 15 weeks yet - 14 + 2 - seems an age since my scan so of course getting wobbly again. But hopefully all still well.
Will be thinking of you on Monday. Let us know how it goes.

wiltingfast · 09/05/2014 23:57

Thanks mabel, you've been great. It was a lot more than spotting, worse than an af and pretty fast and heavy.

I guess I can't be sure but I feel it is gone iykwim.

MabelMay · 10/05/2014 07:09

Oh I'm so sorry wilting. Do you still have any pg symptoms? I'll be holding out hope for you that it is one of those sub chorionic haemorrhages (sp?) or similar that you hear about. But understand you don't want to have any false hope before the scan. Fingers tightly crossed for you and all the best on Monday. Glad DH will be there for support. xx

busyDays · 10/05/2014 18:52

Oh no wilting, I'm so sorry. Sometimes this ttc malarkey seems so difficult. I hope you are ok.
