Hi everyone my AF appeared on 3rd December, so got kicked off the December bus pretty early! But couldn't see a January bus yet!! My stats are TTC #2 cycle 5 Sad BFP due 8th Jan.

OP posts:
Choccywoccydodah · 28/12/2013 21:13

SMF sit by me. So sorry you've had to go through this, it's truly awful. I'm not on here often and I'm keeping quite quiet as after 2 chems in a row I don't want to get my hopes up etc, however my body is being nice to me again and ovulating more or less on time. This month I've been taking baby aspirin to hope I get pg and it sticks.

barmybunting · 28/12/2013 23:13

Thanks everyone. It helps to have somewhere safe to chat about these things! spinning and sazzle, I'm sorry to see you in similar situations. That must get very hard as more people announce pregnancies!

Bump, someone mentioned saying you were giving blood the next day as an excuse not to drink if out. Might work for the odd get out clause? I've decided not to worry about drinking during 2ww, as long as it's not in excess, I think it's fine and don't want life to stop whilst we wait as I think it'll be too stressful. Would you prefer not to drink or is it telling people which concerns you more?

Ginger, will you test again soon?

rockin20s · 28/12/2013 23:41

I'm drinking away as normal this month its Christmas and my honeymoon so I figure I should enjoy myself. Just entering my 2ww now so depending on symptom I may stop before ad is due just in case.

If I don't get pregnant this month I will be very disappointed. We have been dtd as often as possible! I work away from home mid week so I don't know when we will have such a good sex month again.

Gingerpanther27 · 29/12/2013 00:20

Going to test again tomorrow. After that try and sit tight til end of week. Depending on that try and get quantitative blood test done.

BumpNGrind · 29/12/2013 00:27

Barmy, that's a good excuse actually. I haven't been overly cautious about drinking but I know that with this group of friends in particular it's always a big night out. There's always lots of cocktails and plenty of wine, so I want to avoid getting trollied. With it being Christmas it's been an excuse to eat all my favourite cheeses and pate which I know you have to avoid if you're pregnant.

Choccy, tell me more about baby asprin, what does it do and when do you have take it? Sorry to hear about your chems, fx for you.

Choccywoccydodah · 29/12/2013 06:34

Sorry, still haven't read back, will do that now. Is someone wanting an excuse for not drinking?

Last time with ds I said I was on antibiotics for a painful ear infection, people still asked questions, but I stuck to my guns and that seemed to work. This time, a few friends know about my losses so know why I'm not drinking. If I'm ov'ing today, the 2ww is the crucial time not to drink so I won't be risking it. I had a couple over Christmas though.

Re the aspirin, I'm trying ANYTHING! My first 2 months of trying, my luteal phase I started spotting from day 7 so I was recommended b6 from some lovely ladies on here. I took 50mg up to ov and 100mg up to bfp which worked as those 2 months I started I fell pg (along with drinking grapefruit juice up to ov as it helps with ewcm and using conceive plus).
I read that baby aspirin (a mild dose, 75mg) helps with the thickening of the blood in your uterus thus helping the egg to stick. As I say, I'm willing to try anything so fingers crossed it works.

MundayCakes85 · 29/12/2013 06:51

Morning all, Choccy glad to see you're throwing everything at it this month. There's quite a few articles on the web about baby aspirin. However I thought it thinned the blood and increased blood flow??
I'm at work, still got another 2 hours to go and feeling like death. Back ache, headache and a little queasy from turkey sarnies at 5am! Ready for bed!

Choccywoccydodah · 29/12/2013 07:14

Morning munday, hope work goes quickly for you Smile Re the aspirin, it's only a small dose so doesn't thin the blood as much as the regular one, but increases the flow to the uterus. I think I will only take it for a couple of months if I don't get my bfp, then go back to the dr and see about something else.

Choccywoccydodah · 29/12/2013 07:17

Forgot to say, it also helps with clotting as some mcs can be due to blood not getting to the egg due to clotting and cutting off the blood supply. I think it's mainly recommended for repeat mcs.

MundayCakes85 · 29/12/2013 07:51

Choccy I do loves these buses, you learn so many things on here! Anything's worth a shot, even cough syrup!!

I have no idea if/ when I ov'd this month but had to leave DH 200 miles away with his family and come back to work Boxing Day. He gets back tomorrow so fingers crossed we caught O or it hasn't happened yet Hmm

Anyone else awake to keep me company?

Moffit · 29/12/2013 08:25

Hi Munday I'm awake, been at work since 5, done all the important stuff, so now its time for brekkie and a mumsnet catch up!

Do you know what CD you're on? I'm on day 12, so trying to fit in some sexy time arond my crappy 12 hour shifts! Hope you and DH manage to get some 'qualilty time' together when he gets home! Wink

spinningirl10 · 29/12/2013 08:28

Morning ladies Grin

The aspirin is interesting, I've not heard of that before. I'll have a read up about it I think.

I think I'll ov soon so hoping to dtd tonight.....dp has been so busy with work that its not easy but he's off for a few days after today so fx we can get dtd lots! Grin

mum2kiss · 29/12/2013 09:34

Morning ladies. hope you all had a good Christmas! its been so busy on this bus!

I'm 7/8dpo and woke with mild cramping this morning...trying not to read into it as this is only my first month off the pill!

I didn't realise that drinking was a no no during the 2ww. I rarely drink but I did have a few on Christmas day! doh!

MundayCakes85 · 29/12/2013 09:37

Hi Moffit, I'm finally home. Did a bit of food shopping on the way back and put the washing on. Now time for a snooze! I'm on CD18, o varies between 14-20 so I might yet catch it!
Good luck with your shift. And hope everyone's wrapped up warm- winter's finally here x

Kt1991 · 29/12/2013 09:59

So I'm just a few dpo, maybe 4 and the boobs just started hurting last night especially the nipples which has always been my first sign. Was going to try to not symptom spot and obsess this month like last but it's quite hard when u start getting symptoms :(! Aaaaarghhhh

PetiteChouette · 29/12/2013 10:11

Morning everyone,

Wow it's starting to get really busy on this thread. Grin

I'm 5 DPO today. After last cycle's crazy symptom spotting...I'm trying to take a more relaxed and scientific view. From what I've read, true PG symptoms will only happen if implantation occurs and that can happen from 6DPO to about 12DPO. But it's most common at 9DPO. If implantation happens, then you are likely to test positive 2-3 days afterwards. I guess this accounts for the varying timings for a BFP.

Just like last cycle, I've had loads of twinges and things, but I'm just ignoring them this month. At least until tomorrow...Wink

Good luck everyone.

Kittyrose1 · 29/12/2013 10:18

Morning all,
Somuch so sorry to hear of your pg loss, good on you getting straight back Into it. Can't offer any advice but can send virtual Hugs Thanks
Hello to even more newbies, really getting busy on here now!
Here's something to make you all laugh, dh took us out for dinner last night, we went early so we could get back to dtd, however I had a glass of red with my steak and something didn't agree with me ( have IBS) and instead of going home feeling sexy and seductive, I went home bloated with the worse case of trapped wind and was rolling around the bed like a crazy woman, got on some peppermint tea and went to sleep so no bding for us! Blush

mattsmama · 29/12/2013 12:26

Hi Ladies - can I climb aboard. AF due on 4th January and I am going bonkers - one minute I am convinced I am preggo then I am not! This is the first month of TTC no 3 and I am over 40. Plus I am on steroids for killer cells amongst other Meds. I've been very lucky in the past in conceiving very quickly my last pregnancy was when I was 42 and that happened first month of trying so I would be extremely lucky if that happened again but very aware that I am two years older!! I have had menstrual cramps and backache for the past week on and off and sore tingly nipples. Having suffered miscarriages in the past also I am mega nervous - my head is spinning!!!

Nordicmom · 29/12/2013 12:41

Mattsmama I've also had lots ( and I mean lots as in 10 ) early misscarriages so know the worry you are talking about . All in all have had 11 pregnancies and always have known very early I'm pregnant . Now this ttc 3 is the first one with my chronic illness though that has nauseau as one of the symptoms so it confuses me a lot . It used to be my boobs aching more and more withing a few days post ov then nauseau that got stronger , needing to pee etc . So I could guess and was always correct . Well today is 3-4 dpo and my boobs started last night and this morning really nauseous but that's probably my illness. I have somehow gotten lost on a babynames finder page on the net and found out my possible due date too ... Damn I hate this 2 ww it always makes me mental however hard I try .

mama31 · 29/12/2013 12:56

Hi ladies, hope you all had a wonderful Christmas! I've been enjoying myself too much and haven't even thought about when I ovulated! But now I'm thinking about it again, it was cd13 last 2 cycles and cd10 prior to that so I could be 2-5dpo right now! Didn't use opks and didn't actually think about it at all until today I thought oh wonder where I am in my cycle, and knowing cd1 was 15th Dec then I could roughly work it out!

DH has been off work over Christmas with me so we have had lots of snuggles ;) so I'm not concerned about not knowing when O day was as we def were in the festive spirit ;)

Hoping to see lots of BFP'S in 2014!!!

mama31 · 29/12/2013 13:02

Oh and can I just add that I'm so sorry to hear your news SMF! I really really hope you get your sticky bfp very very soon x

Gingerpanther27 · 29/12/2013 13:06

Still in limbo here :(
