1st month TTC

New member alert!!!
My husband and I have just decided to ttc! We are both youngest in our family although both on mid 20s! We want our children to be close to their cousins who range from 2-5! Just hoping our brothers and sisters won't be judgemental as they were all in 30s when they started having children! We have been on nice holidays but feel that a baby is the next step and we are very excited! Just looking for some moral support!!!

I think i have a bladder infection - never had one before - and now worried this will mean they wont take my coil out, do you think? Il be so devestated if they wont do it until its gone as it will totally ruin any tiny chance of a BFP by xmas.

On the plus side my cheapo pregnancy tests arrived from amazon yesterday! So i now have a stock of 20 to look forward to using...

Has anyone got anything exciting planend for the weekend? I think il be xmas shopping tomorrow...unsure wether to look forward to this or not!

Mines Tuesday! I don't see why it would stop them doing it, I'm told its a really easy thing to do and I can't see how a bladder infection would effect it... Hope not for you anyway! I don't ovulate again til the week before Christmas, AF due on the 2nd Jan I think... That would be a great way to start the year but I'm not getting my hopes up ;) hope everything goes awesomely and you get your Xmas BFP :) you never know!

We're spending the weekend with our respective parents which should be nice as we don't see them overly often. And means cuddles from DP's nephew on Sunday cutest 2.5 year old ever.

i hope it doesnt, i might just not say anything as the doctor will never know will she? How do you know when ur due to ovulate with the coil in, do you still get periods with it?

Yeah it shouldn't, just don't say anything! I have a copper coil, not mirena, so have periods as normal. I've told my mum, but apart from that it's just me and DP :) you?

I havent actually even told my DH yet! - hes been moithering ever since we got married a few months ago for me to take it out so his christmas present this year is going to either be a coil in a box or a pregnancy test if by some miricle i do end up conceiveing that quickly! Cant wait to see his face on christmas day whichever present he ends up with! plus it makes christmas shopping a whole lot easier this year!
We wont tell anyone i dont think as once people know they will just keep asking every month for an update which will get slightly frustrating if we take longer than expected to get our BFP.

is ur mum excited Jess? How many grandchildren does she have? My mum has about 7 between me and my brother and sister so she probably wont be as excited as my MIL as this will be her first. So excited about telling her whenever it finally happens as she cant wait to be a Nanny :-)

At the moment she's more excited about my sister, who's 8 weeks PG with what will be her first grandchild! So ours should hopefully end up being her 2nd :)

That would indeed be a great gift either way for your OH! That's awesome about your MIL, DP's brother has a son so it should be her second as well when we do actually get PG. No special firsts for anyone but us!

I'm trying not to get my hopes up for a January BFP but I figured if it takes longer than expected at least if my mum knows we're trying than she won't be asking us about it and accidentally upsetting me...

Hi all, new member here and literally my 2nd post ever! 1st month ttc so hope I can "join the club" with you all. Have been feeling sick for 3 days...keep telling myself it's just a bug as it's so uncommon to get sickness straight away, still can't help to get a teeny bit hopeful ...

aww ur sisters pregnant, is that hard to see her talking about it all the time or are you ok with it now? i think i would find it hard if one of my close friends announced it when i was trying - suppose its bound to happen as a few of my friends are trying already so i will find out when it does.

Hi kitty welcome when is your next AF due do you know? is it likely you could be pregnant with the sickness?

Hi and thank you mrsw, i am due for AF this weekend/early next week, my cycle changes a fair bit from 27-32 days. I suppose I could be but surely sickness is too early?

MrsW It's hard to have it talked about constantly when it's not us yet, but it what what changed us from 'thinking about it' to 'going for it' so it's positive in more ways than one it's harder when it's all acquaintances because I care about them less - harder to be jealous of my sister!

toots I'm currently between High Wycombe and Norwich (!), we'll know which one we're sticking with for the foreseeable future soon though!

Hi toots, I'm reluctant to give away a location, I am a bit paranoid that someone I know will guess who I am lol! I guess I'm just being very private about it, only one other person, a very close friend, knows we are trying. It's been pretty hard to keep it a secret though! But also I really don't want the pressure of people asking if i'm pg yet. I am so glad of this forum though because I get to chat about this, without it I think I might go mad! So I'm in England, is that specific enough lol?! :)

Where is everyone in their cycles? I wonder if we'll have any bfp's soon?

I'm 9dpo, can't say I've had any symptoms other than what I usually have in the lead up to AF. Not testing yet, will be trying to hold out until at least Wednesday.
