New member alert!!!
My husband and I have just decided to ttc! We are both youngest in our family although both on mid 20s! We want our children to be close to their cousins who range from 2-5! Just hoping our brothers and sisters won't be judgemental as they were all in 30s when they started having children! We have been on nice holidays but feel that a baby is the next step and we are very excited! Just looking for some moral support!!!

I think you make a good point humpinthenight I do wonder if people tend to join the forum who have been trying longer so I'm hoping it's not as difficult as it sounds! But then I want to be realistic to.

I am also taking folic acid but I haven't made any other changes. I don't drink anyway so that's not an issue.

I use free menstrual calendar as an app which I think is a spin off from fertility friend? Ff looks a bit too scary for me! I don't want to temp at the moment so it just tracks af and you can put in symptoms and when you dtd as well so it's working for me so far. I can see how I could get really involved if I got a proper conception app!

I too am very guilty of symptom spotting. Although I've gone from very very sore boobs and a bit of abdominal cramping/pain to now absolutely nothing! If I ovulated when I think i did then af is due on the 27th. So I guess I could just sneak in a November bfp but I don't want t be too hopeful! Like I said before I stopped my pill mid pack and I didn't wait for proper af so I'm really not sure if the 27th is my day or not!!

Welcome to the thread mammabear! :)

I cannot wait until next week. Then the next time I've ovulating is the week before Christmas... I know already that the 2ww before finding out if it's worked each month (hopefully not many months!) is going to drive me nuts Grin I'm an impatient bugger!

Honeybear I'm hoping you're right about that! My sister is 8 weeks PG at the moment so if it takes ages for us then that's going to be really difficult... Awesome and exciting on its own merit, but jealousy-fit inducing!

Hibou7688 · 20/11/2013 18:40

I've had a bit of spotting for the first time in my life.. But I don't think I dtd at the 'right time' earlier in the month, i dtd a week before ov then haven't done since for various reasons. Did have some periody type pains last week too!!

Telling myself not to symptom spot and I am 100% not buying any tests until (if!) I am at least a week late, yep. Keep telling myself that!

amy246 · 20/11/2013 20:15

I've had spotting today too, never had it before. Was expecting AF yesterday. It's so confusing! I suppose I'll just have to wait to see what happens...

Honeybear30 · 20/11/2013 20:59

hibou a week late?! Wow I'll be interested to see if you make it that far, that will be some amazing willpower! You'll have to share it round :) The 2ww seems to go on forever...especially when I'm not sure I even ovulated anyway so I might not be in the 2ww!

Hibou7688 · 20/11/2013 21:58

If i poas too early, i'll just keep testing and costing myself a fortune in tests!! Got to keep the will power going til dec!

Honeybear30 · 20/11/2013 22:07

That's true. They are expensive aren't they? I've seen ladies getting BFP's using the really cheap Amazon ones though. So I'm tempted to go with those as we are only just starting out.

Hibou7688 · 20/11/2013 22:09

Yep i'll probably just buy some in bulk from ebay too! Can't be doing with the expensive clear blue ones!

amy246 · 21/11/2013 06:43

AF arrived :( now I'm just looking forward to a Christmas Day BFP. Fingers crossed!

Honeybear30 · 21/11/2013 06:56

Oh amy. :( what an amazing Christmas present though! Just think the sooner it's over the quicker you can get on and dtd :) xx

amy246 · 21/11/2013 10:49

I'm disappointed but trying to focus on the positives. The pill I had been on had stopped AF altogether. I hadn't had one for years! At least I know I'm having good cycles now and there's no obvious issues. And as you say this year could be the best Xmas ever! Smile

MrsW0931 · 21/11/2013 15:44

i just ordered a pack of 20 strip pregnancy tests on amazon for £2.63. Total bargain and will mean i wont be so worried about wasting them if i use one too early - once i do get my BFP though i will be running out to get a clear blue one just to confirm! cant wait to use one of those!

Honeybear30 · 21/11/2013 18:24

That is really cheap Mrs W! Just had a chat with DH and he thinks that we should buy the expensive ones. He is concerned about a false positive and doesn't see it as money down the drain but I'm sure the likelihood of a false positive is next to none and I would feel like I was peeing on five pound notes! Maybe I'll say we'll have the expensive ones if he's willing to pay?! The thought of a clearblue digi is so exciting... Can't wait until it's my turn. :)

MrsW0931 · 21/11/2013 19:19

Yea thats a good idea..agree say he has to pay for them! Ha. He may then change his mind pretty quick. Maybe just buy some for u to use if u get too impatient one month and save the expensive ones for when u do them together? I think i want to find out myself first so i get the excitement of telling my dh and seeing the excitement on his face. Cannot wait for that moment.

QueenFaerie86 · 21/11/2013 19:26

For the first time in our relationship my dh has just said he is too tired to dtd tonight. Now I know how frustrating that sentence can make you! I'm in the middle of ovulating too, going to have to do some seducing I'm thinking ;)

Honeybear30 · 21/11/2013 19:41

Yes queen you need to persuade him! I'm sure you can work your magic :)

MrsW I never even considered testing alone. But I get what you mean by capturing that look on his face. That would be amazing! I guess it's different for us all but I think we'll be testing together once we get to that point. Although...I haven't actually discussed that with him!

ReginaFelange22 · 21/11/2013 20:18

I'm going to join in!! TTC #1 I'm 27, OH is 33. Came off my pill 4 weeks ago, after nearly 10 years. Was hoping AF would turn up this week but seems I just ovulated at the weekend so might be another 2 weeks or so, right when my OH is due home (he works away!)

Last week I was feeling really light headed, pains in my stomach and back. Nipples have been tender (TMI) too lol! Not my actual boobs just the nipples!

Like everyone else I hope it doesn't take too long as others have said!

Good luck everyone!!

Littlebear88 · 21/11/2013 21:57

Welcome Regina!

Promised myself I wouldn't symptom spot but feeling so tired and bloated. And skin is really dry and itchy!!! Probably massively dehydrated.... But maybe not ;-)

QueenFaerie86 · 22/11/2013 06:26

Dh had a very long day at work so I didn't try and seduce him, he found the energy from somewhere to dtd without me reminding him it's ovulation time ?? (as sexy as that always sounds)

MrsW0931 · 22/11/2013 09:24

ha i love it Queen, so frustrating this wait to have coil out. wish it was wednesday already :-( i feel left out....

ThingsThatGoHumpInTheNight · 22/11/2013 09:44

Hey Regina, any chance you could be pregnant?

QueenFaerie86 · 22/11/2013 09:49

woke up this morning with strong ovulation cramps, we're off for a weekend away tonight without ds so guess we'll be pretty busy this evening ;) its so exciting! I'm trying very hard not to get my hopes up as it seems to take along time for some people, I just know i'll be symptom spotting obsessively!

Littlebear88 · 22/11/2013 12:00

Looking for some advice, not sure when I OV'd could've been last weekend or weekend before as just finished pill at end of October! Should I test this weekend, just in case??!!??

OP posts:
KitKat1985 · 22/11/2013 12:06

Hey all. Have also been obsessively symptom spotting. Took my last pill on the 3rd of November and have felt crampy and bloated all week. Then on Weds at work had a small amount of fresh blood when I went to the loo (like 2-3 drops) and then nothing else since, so convinced myself it was an implantation bleed, even though it would only be possible to be that if I had ovulated straight after finishing my post-pill bleed. Nevertheless managed to get myself very over-excited. Took a test this morning - very clear BFN. Sad Guess it's just my body adjusting to coming off the pill and playing cruel tricks on me by spotting and making me feel bloated and crampy.

HippyJess · 22/11/2013 12:31

I'm with MrsW - I want it to be next week so I can have my coil out and join in!

Another person I know just announced she's pregnant :( I'm so happy for her but it's already very very frustrating! Ack.

Littlebear if I were you I probably would, just in case or I wouldn't be able to stop thinking about it IYSWIM...

KitKat that sucks, but give it time, it'll happen :)
