New member alert!!!
My husband and I have just decided to ttc! We are both youngest in our family although both on mid 20s! We want our children to be close to their cousins who range from 2-5! Just hoping our brothers and sisters won't be judgemental as they were all in 30s when they started having children! We have been on nice holidays but feel that a baby is the next step and we are very excited! Just looking for some moral support!!!

I'm waiting on my first AF since coming off the pill. Thought I would've had it by now. I really only used them every few days tbh. I thought I would've ovulated a few days prior to when I did so was nice to have a helping hand.

My OH works away so it was really to help know where we were tbh!

ReginaFelange22 · 24/11/2013 11:22

Thinking about it, it's actually 4 weeks yday since I stopped my pill, had a withdrawal for a couple of days but still no AF yet!

KittyVonCatsington · 24/11/2013 13:23

Ooh, could you be one of the lucky ones and already be pregnant? My sister's best friend was worrying for about 3 months after coming off the Pill that she hadn't yet had a period. Turns out, she conceived just after stopping!

Honeybear30 · 24/11/2013 13:31

I also stopped my pill four weeks ago, had a withdrawal bleed but nothing else. We've done a fair bit of dtd so I am hoping by some miracle af will never come! I think she is due wed though if I ov'd when I think I did. Also had a fair bit of light cramping on and off. I've ordered some pg tests but want to try and hold off using them! I wonder if af will arrive...I really really hope not!

ReginaFelange22 · 24/11/2013 13:48

Lol I know I'm hoping AF won't turn up, would make things so straight forward! Have got a few weekends away early next year so if I was pg now and could have a scan prior to them then great. If not and I fall pg nearer them without a scan, it makes things a whole lot harder!! This is best case scenario which Im putting out of my head just now, well trying!! Knowing my luck it will happen at the time to make things awkward lol!!

Lizzie1985 · 24/11/2013 17:33

I'm still kinda spotting very lightly on and off- very light pink when I wipe (sorry if tmi). It came on the day I would have expected to get AF. I've not got any cramps at all like I used to though (used to be in agony and on heavy duty painkillers) so I don't know whether it's AF or spotting or implantation.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had a date in mind to do a hpt? It would be good to hear of your results

HippyJess · 24/11/2013 18:47

I'll be POAS on the 31st December because it's the first time I can... Not ovulating til the 14th :( boo! I wanna going the actually trying brigade!

Lizzie1985 · 24/11/2013 18:52

Aww HippyJess, don't worry, it won't be long. I felt like that when I was waiting to finish my packet of pills. And then it was still a month earlier than DH and I had really decided to start ttc. I think my nagging made him relent!

Honeybear30 · 24/11/2013 18:53

Well I think af is due wed and my hpt's are winging their way to me in the post. Ideally I'd like to hold out until Saturday so I can be at home with dh. But then that is of course assuming that af doesn't rear her ugly head and also that I manage to hold out that long! I bought frer's as well so will be incredibly tempted to do one when they arrive. Delivery was meant to be for next Friday so I'd have to wait but then got an email saying they should arrive tomorrow!

KittyVonCatsington · 24/11/2013 21:33

What are 'frers', Honeybear30? Scuse my ignorance!

MrsW0931 · 24/11/2013 21:56

Just catching up on what iv missed, im pretty much in ur boat jess! 3 sleeps to go. Im so not gna be able to wait until christmas to tell DH about my coil being out, i already wanna tell him now!
Half of me is so excited about it all and the other half is so scared about whats to come...no sleep, going back to the whole 30 mins to leave the house routine... Scary!

Honeybear30 · 25/11/2013 06:58

Don't worry kitty. They are first response, early result. So you can test up to 6 days before af is due. The trouble is though that is so tempting, and I have no real reason to believe that I should be testing. It encourages you to waste tests, I do wonder if it is a big marketing ploy lol! Dh also wants me to wait until at least Thursday so now he's said that I know I won't give in so easy when they arrive later on today.

toots123 · 25/11/2013 07:02

Im in the same situation as you honeybear but I didnt order tests until Friday. So as soon as they arrive I'll test.

I highly doubt I'll get a bfp but better to check before hitting the wine at the weekend haha

Cant wait till this thread gets its first bfp! Keep us posted everyone x

HippyJess · 25/11/2013 12:15

Can't wait for the BFPs either, it'll be so exciting when we start getting them in our li'l thread Grin

Poor DP had a crisis of confidence yesterday when playing with his nephew (2.5). Tried to make DN stop throwing puzzle pieces at his head and it didn't work - apparently he was asking him to stop exactly right, just not firmly enough or so that DN could hear! When it was reiterated by MIL DN soon stopped! Silly DP. He did the whole "I don't know what I'm doing, what if I'm a terrible father?" routine. Think I managed to convince him that everyone feels that way Grin

I was extremely happy because I got a kiss and a cuddle off DN too though. 'Twas lovely :)

toots123 · 25/11/2013 18:21

Tests came but bfn! Not surprised or disappointed though since its still early!
Means ive no idea if ive ov'd or not. If cycle waw normal, af should come on Thursday but still not had first 'proper' period since stopping pill

The joys of being impatient Grin

Honeybear30 · 25/11/2013 18:27

toots it is still early you're right, so just wait and see! My tests didn't arrive...I'm relieved really, I'd rather they weren't in the house yet. I was thinking what if af doesn't come when I think it should? I, like you, haven't had a proper period so do I just keep testing until af comes? It's soooo confusing! Have you thought about this?

toots123 · 25/11/2013 18:49

Hi honeybear my plan is if af doesnt arrive by Saturday I will test again. If bfn I wont test again until I know my next cycle has started. So will probably go back to ov sticks everyfew days!
Its so coconfusing though cause im probably just wasting ov sticks!

What are you thinking?

Honeybear30 · 25/11/2013 18:56

Hmm not sure. On the outside I'm saying 'I'm fine' 'I know I'm not in a proper cycle yet' 'If it's negative it's ok'...BUT I think I would be a bit gutted if it was negative. I really don't want to set myself up for months of disappointment. This forum has really taught me it's not as easy as I'd thought. So maybe a test once a week/every other week? I might have to invest in ebay cheapies though if that's my plan! Suppose should talk to DH if/when we come to it as we decided we would always test together. And we must dtd just in case I missed Ov! Dh was away for a week though so we've had a 7 day gap. The irrational part of me is thinking OMG what if I ov'd when he was away?! I really need to get a grip sometimes lol. And maybe spend less time on here? It's so addictive!

KittyVonCatsington · 25/11/2013 19:11

It's crazy how little I really know about my cycle. I have no idea what's when and am slightly apprehensive over what the next couple of months will entail! Thank God for OPKs existing otherwise I'd probably spend just as much on pregnancy tests. Now, is it really unusual to actually feel nervous using an OPK? I feel that I'm sitting an exam and I've only done it once!

toots123 · 25/11/2013 19:15

Its way too addictive! Haha. Yeah I think I'll test every other week. Maybe before the Christmas nights out start up so that I know if I can drink or not!
Yeah these amazon tests were nice and cheap (15 for £2.80!) I can see me needing more before Christmas though haha

MrsS82 · 25/11/2013 20:07

Hello everyone, my dh and I are first month ttc for #1, both 31 and married in April this year. I've started taking tfb vitamins and attempting to moderate my diet and alcohol intake and hopefully that's going in the right direction.

Nice to meet you all Blush

ReginaFelange22 · 25/11/2013 20:10

You ladies are making me want to test lol!! But OH is away so got to wait! If AF hasn't turned up by the time he is home ill test! Trying to forget about it. Not long started a new job so been putting everything into that at the moment to put TTC at the back of my mind, especially when he isn't here!!

ThingsThatGoHumpInTheNight · 25/11/2013 20:45

Hi MrsS, welcome! You're in the right place if you are just starting out, likely to symptom spot and test early Blush

Per my tracker app I am due to ov on Thursday/Friday so entering the fertile period tomorrow til Saturday-ish. We have been getting plenty of practice in though Wink DH is rather enjoying it. I am almost a bit worried about doing it too much due to his enthusiasm Grin I think I will test around the 19th or so if I can wait that long and AF hasn't arrived. Only one cycle to go on so far and that was 33 days so don't want to test too early. I have a job that is really intense for the first half of the month and its our wedding anniversary soon after then so will be a lovely time to get a bfp....fingers crossed! And on the bright side, if bfn plenty of mulled wine.

Anyone POASing anytime soon?

Littlebear88 · 25/11/2013 20:50

Hello ladies! I've been resisting poas as work has been super busy!! Riding it out until the end of the week!

Good luck trying all!!'
