okay I hope I'm not treading on anyone's toes but as the proud owner of a July AF I'm posting early. Any seconders for a BFP filled August are very welcome.

Is my bday in August so fingers crossed. And by my calculations my ov this month should tie in with dh's 30th birthday.

so paws crossed

That was exactly the reason I thought I had no chance because I normally do and this month nothing and the toni weschler book goes on about how essential it is. But obviously was't.

I've got loads of Grapefruit juice in the fridge to help for next month!

Sexonlegs · 25/07/2006 20:19

Hi Bubblez, I don't ov til really late - like CD19 or 20, but will be bd'ing like mad as soon as af leaves!

Beccy1974 · 25/07/2006 20:20

My god it's hot tonight isn't it I'm sat here dripping Sorry TMI.

I know what you mean Becky you never know if there's enough or the right consistency!

pussycatmomma · 25/07/2006 20:29

thanks everyone for the good luck vibes for my sis She really needs them, she has had such a rough ride....
If there truly are Angels out there, Im asking them in a very loud voice, to PLEASE KEEP AN EYE ON MY SIS! MAKE THE EMBRYOS V. STICKY!!!!
Coggy, good idea re. do we have same fertility issues, but my system had v. damaged tubes and had to have them removed, so i dont think so, i certainly hope not anyway. Tbh, she cant really talk to me about it, i think it is a bit too close to home, but i know she also recieves lots of support from friends on another site. i would love to be able to have lots of in-depth discussion with her and be able to support each other, but it is really difficult for her to open up about anything but "the facts" and also when she is doing well, she tells us, we get all the details (like now) but when things are difficult she shuts off. Just her way of coping, but as such, i dont know much about the actual cause of her tubal damage.
byw, gross ideas of grapefruit and pre-seed ending up at various orifices'..eugh!!!!!

pussycatmomma · 25/07/2006 20:30

DUH....that should say sister, not system!!
too hot, i'll blame the weather for my typing!

Beccy1974 · 25/07/2006 20:35

yes good vibes from me 2 pcm - whinging about my lack of success to date. god!

all the best with your trying too - sorry you are being hampered

pussycatmomma · 25/07/2006 20:38

ah well, thats life isnt it Becky, C'est la vie. Thing is we all have to keep on trying no matter what. I think mn is brill for bringing us all together, and no matter what your situation there is always someone who has been through it, similar or worse, and there is often a good news story at the end, though not always obviously. The thing is, the ol' tinternet is good for allowing us to share each others "hamperings" isnt it, and it does make you appreciate what you do have, even when you are going through difficulties and miserableness.

Beccy1974 · 25/07/2006 20:48

definitely; we are so lucky to have the ability to share this info. i know from a few things i've said to my mum, about things i've learnt on here, that info like we have was just not widespread 30 years ago

i mean, even books become out of date so quickly don't they. i got a few out of the library and it's funny to see that, for example, one listed don't take certain medicines, and i think it was before ibuprofen was available as no mention. that's dangerous really, having books that old in 'service' still, as someone in a remote location, without internet, might rely on it..

i'm waffling!

hey there SOL

yep my poor DH has just asked me for a night off

I am minded to allow it, especially as it's so bleedin hot!

wannaBe1974 · 25/07/2006 21:06

hiya all

wow more bfp's .. congrats!

Pussycat have read your other thread and am so sorry to hear that things aren't going well for you. (((hugs))). You know where i am if you need to chat - am always at the end of an email . will keep my fingers crossed for your sister as well - lots of lovely eggs - that has to be a good sign as that must mean they'll get some ve good quality embrios to put back.

Well dh opened the post and there's also a letter from the surgery saying that they've received his results and the gp would like to discuss them and they've made an appointment for him. Now I'm 99% sure it's not going to be good news. I know that receptionists don't give out results over the phone sometimes, I could have considered that maybe they just couldn't discuss it, but generally gp's don't write to their patients with pre-arranged appointments unless there is absolutely good reason for doing so. DH has already been apologising that he can't give me another baby, now I feel bad that I even pursuaded him to go to the gp in the first place. He's already said he doesn't want anyone to know what the problem is, that we should just say "we can't have any more" and that's all they need to know. Wish I'd just left it now.

desperate2bmum · 25/07/2006 21:36

wannabe im so sorry..but dont give up just yet until you have seen your doc.
if he has given you a child already then its not 100% certain you wont ever fall pregnant again.
i know its not much consolation but atleast you will know what the problem is at the end of all this and you can make your decisions from then on.

TMI ALERT just been to loo..been having cramping all day in lower abdomen now getting clear discharge..ive never monitored any signs like this before so totally clueless. i have already ov'd according to sticks(sunday) me and dp been bd'ing every night for last two weeks (except yesterday and today) any thoughts welcome

Bellie · 25/07/2006 21:42

sending postiive vibes to those with dh/p with gp appointments.

desperate2bmum - not sure that I am able to help as I was coming on here to ask q's of my own, but I am sure that someone who is much more informed will be along soon...

My q is - I am ususally on a 28/29 day cycle and today is cd8. I have been having a pain just lower than my belly button for the past hour or so - could this be ovulation or is it too early?? I am not tracking it as such as only month 3 of ttc, but reading some of your posts seems that I should be more aware than I am currently. Also what is the optimum days of ttc - I always thought it was a couple of days before and after ovulation - if it is have I missed this month? Sorry really long one, but really needing to understand!!

Thanks

wannaBe1974 · 25/07/2006 21:43

dtm it could be (tmi alert) the left over from previous bd. when you have sex there are of course a lot of dead sperm etc after and these do need to be expelled and can cause such discharge.

wannaBe1974 · 25/07/2006 21:45

bellie ovulation pain normally occurs on one side of the abdomen - the ovary from which the egg is being released. if this pain is in the middle then it's likely to be unrelated.

also, as long as you have regular intercourse, you are likely to conceive in time

Bellie · 25/07/2006 21:46

Thanks wannabe - guess the pain is all th chocolate then!!

desperate2bmum · 25/07/2006 21:46

eww thanks wannabe never thought of that (duh!)

wannaBe1974 · 25/07/2006 21:48

mmmm chocolate.

Natty1806 · 26/07/2006 07:34

Morning

Af has arrived so CD1 today for me, which is a good thing in a way as at least she will have gone by time i see gyne on Monday, only bummer is, if they decide to put me on clomid i will have to wait for next AF which is likely to be 5/6/7 weeks away, oh well means i get enjoy the next few weeks getting drunk!!

Then i might have to buy some grapefruit juice - maybe.

Sorry to hear DP reaction wannabe, i really hope its not bad news and is just a hiccup along the way.

Take care all.

Beccy1974 · 26/07/2006 07:51

natty - good news of sorts.. i'm glad it turned up before your appt. gives you a date to go by.

bellie, hope the aches ease. not sure what that could be going by your cycle, but sure its nothing to worry about

pendulum, your dh sounds like mine, this heat has just wiped him out.

cd24 of typical 31 and bloody knackered (blaming heat). my usual odd pain on right side which isn't ovulation (blaming old age). drove past tesco on way in and thought hmm test but am adamant will only test this month if i go over 31 days.

have a good day all and talk later i hope (my screen can be seen by a few but i don't potter around the office gossipping so sure its okay to have a chat on here)

Hi ladies- haven't posted on here for a few days as my internet connection went kapputt.Glad to be with you all on the positive Aug thread..got to keep hoping!!! Anyhow just to refresh I m/c on the 1st June and had my first mens on 5th July- I have been showing pos on pg tests since the m/c so am not sure if I am pg or not. When I called my epu they agreed I could give it until my next mens would be due so that would mean I'm on cd22 with some hormone left over..or I'm pg! if I get my mens I will insist they investigate. Good luck to us all!!!!

Beccy1974 · 26/07/2006 08:24

Not sure what my pains were either - they have gone now! And I can report that dh's legs are still painful but not that painful anymore
