okay I hope I'm not treading on anyone's toes but as the proud owner of a July AF I'm posting early. Any seconders for a BFP filled August are very welcome.

Is my bday in August so fingers crossed. And by my calculations my ov this month should tie in with dh's 30th birthday.

so paws crossed

Don't worry MIAM I am going to do that go to boots buy a normal clear blue for this evening and buy a digital for tomorrow morning the hard thing is I can't tell DP as he's away wouldn't be fair which means I can't tell my mum as DP should be first and that's all were going to tell for first 12 weeks

Beccy1974 · 25/07/2006 08:26

i'll be the same definitely tell DH first and then my mum. am going to be really traditional and not tell another soul. well, okay prob my dad and my sister, as it will be difficult for mum to contain her excitement

you HAVE to tell us as soon as you've done the evening wee stick nicky x

Oh I remember when I got my BFP with DS
I was standing in my bathroom and was absolutley BURSTING to tell someone - If someone had come to the door I would of had to have told them.

I rand DH to see when he would be home and it was over an hour away and as I had used a Clearblue digital I had to take a photo of the result to show him in case it disappeared before he got home.

I have to admit that DH was not the first person I told and to this day he still goes on about it - I ended up ringing my Best friend and shrieked downt he phone at her like a loon.

So - my advice, tell us and he will never know as we cannot meet him (well it's unlikely) and he won't find out!

Beccy1974 · 25/07/2006 08:32

oh god on here doesn't count.. try stopping me. actually, you'll hear me screaming..

Nicki10 · 25/07/2006 08:38

Oops couldn't wait so he just walked of the line to hear me screaming there's a line and he said what are you talking about, I told him there was a line on test and could be pregnant!

Natty1806 · 25/07/2006 08:39

Nick Nicki

You caved, but good job you did - how cool is that a BFP in your first month of trying.

What a bi@#h - only joking babes- excellent news.

Not sure that we can wait till tomorrow don't drink much water for the next few hours and do another one, but to be honest we know the result don't we.

Don't worry about coughing, little beans have been through worse.

So happy for you, see you should have stuck around on the july thread. xx

Natty1806 · 25/07/2006 08:40

Oh yeah....

....we need positions etc, also what symptoms have you had??????

trace2 · 25/07/2006 08:40

awww congrats nicky, , i hhope its a sticky one you really need to wait a few days to test again, it takes upto 72 hours for your hcg levels to rise.

muminamini its great to have a cycle buddie, and great minds think a like

morning everyone else, , hows you all?
soh, great you sound postive! i think its coping with the emotions really hard, and what do you mean by (I'm not sure if I'm officially on this thread now) ??

Nicki10 · 25/07/2006 08:49

Well positions would have to be doggy again! It's a winner girls.

Absolutely no symptoms hence the worry with the cough!. Horrible cold though and I think Bobblehead had that. I felt sick on Friday but it defo because i ate to many pick n Mix he he

Bit bloated but no sore boobs so could be a false positive must calm down!

If the others are positive I will feel more reassured and give you the whole story!

muminamini · 25/07/2006 08:55

He he

Sending so much sticky beanie glue your way nicki.

Just promise me one thing.... don't go out buying any maternity dungarees

If any of you want a laugh have a read of this

Hope that worked x

muminamini · 25/07/2006 08:56

Aaaargh - it didn't

oh well can't do links - there is a thread on chat about buying maternity dungarees - I found it v humerous
x

Nicki10 · 25/07/2006 08:56

Yeah sorry Natty and others it could be a false positive but if not feel a bit bad, we'll all find out later! I'm not going to drink or wee for next 5 hours.

Thanks Trace I have to do another for peace of mind but I'm going to buy a pack of three so I can do one in 72 hours as well.

Natty1806 · 25/07/2006 09:04

Well you can't spend money on booze so you may as well waste it on hpt's LOL

Sending you positive vibes for it to stick.

Aren't you going to the festival in scotland soon?

MrsMcJnr · 25/07/2006 09:04

Nicki and Bobblehead - Congratulations! Fabulous news, fingers crossed all goes well. I am going to be late for a meeting but I had to read to the end of the thread! .

Which cheap internet tests have you been using and where can I get some? (just in case I need them sometime soon!)

Nicki10 · 25/07/2006 09:11

Yeah Natty DP's there now and then we both go up in 3 weeks! So it would be hard not to drink then I'll have to say everythings a G&T otherwise they'll go mad!

But still very nervous must not get hopes up

Nicki10 · 25/07/2006 09:11

Oops that reads like your DP's there not mine

Nicki10 · 25/07/2006 09:12

God I'm so rude than you all for good hopes and congratulations not getting hopes up could have been a dodgy test, but I'm still taking it to work with me in my bag!

ShowOfHands · 25/07/2006 09:20

Nicki10 I've got everything crossed for you and I'm still typing, bloody difficult!

I own dungarees and I'm not even pregnant. I am, however, a lentil-weaving hippy which excuses a multitude of sins.

Trace, by I don't know if I'm on this thread I meant I don't know if I'm trying for a positive August, not least because I'll be in a tent when I ovulate. This doesn't mean that there isn't a huge part of me considering it and hoping that it might happen. I'm trying to relax and not get too obsessed with it. That should be easy. Right?

Anyway, morning all. SOL, I was about to forgive you the wanton abandon on a chair but now you tell me about an orange bacardi breezer. I'm shocked to my very core.

trace2 · 25/07/2006 09:23

aw well soh it could mean history repeating it self

Natty1806 · 25/07/2006 09:32

Nicki - Why are you taking it to work??

Hoepfully if this one sticks (fingers crossed for you) you won't have terrible morning sickness in the middle of a field.

Does your DP work for the same company?

wright4845 · 25/07/2006 09:36
