pasta congratulations!!!!

mummy take care. Re the new job if you're in the same company you may still be entitled to all the mat cover when it happens?

2be Sad

Well I've already told DH of when is the next ov date (9 July) and I think he'll oblige in fitting more dtd as he saw how upset I was this month.

donnab1983 · 24/06/2013 15:42

Hi wondering if I can join you all, been trying to conceive #2 since last June, had a missed miscarriage in October & just lost another one this weekend (was only 5 weeks). Just found mumsnet and finding it very comforting to find so many people in the same boat.

My first pregnancy went perfectly, so finding this time hard as just expected it to be the same as with my DD.

Just have to get back to it, I suppose!!

dildoos · 24/06/2013 16:07

Sorry your here too donnab! Sit back with us they are. Lovely bunch xx

Coolhand · 24/06/2013 18:50

Donnab having people in the same boat definitely helps - this place keeps me sane sometimes.

Pasta congratulations and your horsey bum story made me laugh lots. To all those in the 2ww - hoping for some sane days ahead.

So this evening I caved and POAS - it turned out to be a good use of my last test because I got a BFP! Can't quite believe it! So much for being 99.9% convinced I wasn't. Of course it means no lovely wine or stinky cheeses on my holiday next week but I think that's a compromise I'm willing to take!

Having had a m/c before, I'm allowing myself to be no more than cautiously optimistic...

StoneBaby · 24/06/2013 19:04

coolhands congratulations!!!!!

dildoos · 24/06/2013 19:08

Woohoo cool!!!!!! Fab news sodit you can be happy!!! And stinky cheese and wine Def not even close on happiness!!! Xx

fedupofrainydays · 24/06/2013 19:12

cool that's great news! I shall celebrate with some wine and stinky cheese on your behalf!

muzzy2011 · 24/06/2013 19:28

Oh wow congrats cool! Thats fab news! Wasn't this the month you only DTD once as well?! Was it near your ov date?

PastaBeeandCheese · 24/06/2013 19:43

Congratulations coolhand that's brilliant news!!

winterpansy · 24/06/2013 20:44

Hey all,
Just popping in to say hi.
Sorry again to see the lovely mummy and 2be back here but hopefully you will be back with us on the graduate thread soon.

I hope you don't mind me coming back to say hello -I know it's a sensitive time for eveyone and I don't want to be annoying people as I am upduffed but I do cheerlead for everyone to have bfps and join the other thread so like to check in from time to time.

About the cb opks - I used them for 2 months and got pg the second month. We dtd 6, 4, 2, 1 days before getting the smiley and also the day we got it. My dates say conception was the date of the actual smiley (which amuses me cos that means DC2 was conceived on the sofa!) so they worked for me.

abi So sorry the bitch got you but hopefully a new house will do the job and cheer you up - you can DTD in every room to mark your territory Grin

Congrats to the BFPers - come join us on the nutjob antenatal thread.

Hope everyone else is doing ok!

AbiBub · 24/06/2013 21:53

Hey ladies.

Hey you mummy and 2be the biggest hugest hugz coming from me right at this moment. I just wish I had a magic wand to make it all better. The only advice I can offer is that you both give yourself the time and space that you need and in the meantime if you need to come on here and vent, we'll all be here for you both.

Hey winter lovely. How are you? Yep AF bitch got me a good un this month. No, new house yet, I haven't started looking yet as have been busy with DS and his getting stuff ready and attending appointments for school for when he starts in sept, the possible house move when we find somewhere has come at completely the wrong time!! Hey ho, not much I can do!

pasta cool congratulations ladies! I bet you are really chuffed to bits! Thats fabby news!

Welcome donnab I hope you find this thread a handy place to outlet and vent/rant if you need to.

Hi muzzy hope the 2ww goes quickly for you!

Hey everyone else in here too! Hope you are all well.

Not much to report here as cd3 and getting bored waiting for the evil witch to vacate so we can get onto dtd you know the fun part of making babies I had this horrid nightmate last night that I couldnt get pg bcos I had started going through the menopause! ! Wouldnt be surprised as both my nan and my mum went through it in their late 30's early 40's :0/ I hope that's not the case

I wonder how long my cycle is going to be this month, hasnt been the same amount for the last 3 months! ! Confused

Coolhand · 24/06/2013 22:54

Thanks for kind wishes and all your lovely support.. Yes Muzzy just the once; typical, all those months we were trying so much - it was cd11 - wasn't using opks this month but think I ov around day 12.

Anyway ladies, 2 in one day; hoping that this begins a run of BFPs.

Dildoos I hope you're feeling better soon.

dildoos · 24/06/2013 23:11

Evening all! What a difference a day makes, on positive thinking ! Should be referred to explore mc Smile
Called Bourn have appt for 30/6/13 for consultation!
Got tabs to stop the heavy af and ironed up to the hilt !
Feeling pro active don't know if can take pregnCare conception too?
Smep I think I may try this!!
How's everyone?
2 bfps is really fAb I love a positive storey xx

fedupofrainydays · 25/06/2013 08:11

We have DTD every day (twice yesterday) since Thursday and am feeling a bit knackered! Can't decide if its all worth it as it only takes one day as per cool's experience so maybe we should tone it down a wee bit. Thing is I can't, as panic if I miss a day then that could have been 'the one day' if you get what I mean. Oh well - just one more go tonight and then we are done for this month.

AbiBub · 25/06/2013 08:28

Morning peeps!

dildoos glad you feel positive and happy! That will help for sure. Not sure whether you can take pregnacare in top of the other tabs, perhaps ring up your doc or nhs direct for an answer? That's great you have your appointment :0)

fedup the main thing is you're giving it your best shot pardon the pun and the main thing is you feel happy that you have tried your best. Being happy and not stressing at the most important times can make a real difference whether you dtd lots or just the once!! For me bcos I am not sure now when I ov as my cycles keep changing length I have decided to dtd every 3days, once af has finished and go as far into the cycle as I can possibly manage! That way it gives OH's swimmers a chance to 'brew' a little longer to become more strong but its not leaving it too long that they become weak and lazy. Well thats the plan anyway!!

How are we all this morning? :0)

dildoos · 25/06/2013 09:06

Abi- does dp have low count as a rule? My dp does so wondering if to pinch your way of thinking? Makes sense! That's then only 10 times a month and not tooooooo much of an effort Grin .
Fed up your doing your best! Will have everything crossed for your bfp !!! Xx

VikingLady · 25/06/2013 11:50

Well, af arrived with a vengeance, 4 days late and exceptionally heavy Sad But since DD just started German measles.... Maybe for the best. At least, that's what I'm telling myself.

dildoos · 25/06/2013 12:35

Viking Sad on both accounts! Hope dd gets well soon and the evil witch buggers off xx

Ninunina · 25/06/2013 12:55

Why does AF keep on rearing her ugly head? Sorry to hear viking. Fingers crossed for next month.

I'm hoping the next week and a half passes very quickly so I can distract myself from obsessively POAS. Thankfully I've got a lot on so it should. It's the run up to my cousins wedding and we've got loads to do with dress maker fittings, rehearsals, pre-wedding parties and meeting family and friends that are arriving for the big day. There is also a heat wave where I live so a daily trip to the beach or a dip in the pool is compulsory (love being a SAHM in summer).
I'm feeling a bit silly today. I went to the fish market yesterday and bought my favorite fish swordfish! After I ate it I remembered that swordfish is a no no during pregnancy. Did I do something silly by eating it? I'm only 2 or 3 dpo... so hopefully it won't be harmful at this stage.

p.s. I'm back to hoping I'll be pregnant. My friends who is currently having a miscarriage with her first ivf attempt is coping amazingly well. She's ready to try again in September and is hoping for twins this time round. She has assured me she feels nothing but happiness when her friends announce their pregnancies so I shouldn't feel so guilty about things. She is a real inspiration I think. Life has thrown her a lot of crap these last couple of years and she's become a much stronger person as a result.

StoneBaby · 25/06/2013 16:21

ninu don't worry for the fish. It can't rememver the guidelines but I'm sure eating swordfish once in a blue moon will not do any harm. Where do you live? (Just curious because of the heat wave)

Ninunina · 25/06/2013 20:38

I live in Malta stone. I lived in the UK for ages so the hot summers are still quite a treat for me.

PastaBeeandCheese · 25/06/2013 20:46

Jealous of your weather minunina. Think of us in the miserable UK!
