Arrrrgh think AF has turned up already!!! That's only a 23 day cycle!! That's ridiculous.

So now I have no idea if/when I actually ovulated. I have a feeling with a cycle that short that I didn't.

2beornot · 12/08/2013 22:42

I too do the planning of the dates!! AF has only just (probably) turned up and I already do i'll prob ovulate sun 25th and will plan to dtd the tues, thurs, sat and mon around that. If it works my EDD would be may 19th!!

AbiBub · 12/08/2013 23:04

2be is it proper af or is it just spotting yeah you know im hoping for you

Looks like people have been getting in a good amount of dtd so fx for you all :0)

Pukey day for me! :0 ( note to self dont chance honey nut cornflakes for breakfast on the off chance that they'll be ok! !

How is everyone? x

AllBoxedUp · 13/08/2013 07:07

Maybe not hugely reassuring 2beornot but when I got pregnant in January I had a regular 23 day cycle. When I had my mc no one was interested that I had a short cycle so I don't think it was a factor.

Morning lovely ladies
boxed preseed is a sperm friendly lube that may almost help if you lack friendly cm for sperm to swim through. But might not be a good idea to stick too much up you as it affects my dh's performance (ie makes it too slimy up there so less friction)!! We use it but only small amounts (1 measure not the 3 suggested on the packet)

It's really really difficult not to do the what if I'm pregnant thing. We aren't going skiing this year for that reason (half tempted to book a holiday and then of course I will get preggers right?!) and DH best friend is getting married abroad next year and I just assumed we would have two kids with us but now I'm thinking I probably won't / will at least be pregnant but then I can't fly if too far along.. Oh the stress! I also want to change jobs but I'm wanting to do my own thing so need to stay in work for mat benefits. Bleurgh.

So had my scan yesterday. Bit non conclusive. Said I may need to come back earlier in cycle rather than mid. But I'm seeing it as a positive in that they didnt see a cyst problem. There were talks of a clot but not sure if was a problem / related to my heavy periods. Who knows. Will see what they send back to gp. It was also carried out my a student who took an AGE to find my ovaries so I began to worry...!

Hope everyone is ok. 12 days to af for me.... Not that I'm counting or anything.

fedupofrainydays · 13/08/2013 07:21

2be they say anything over 21 days is ok. Mine was 22 last month so cutting it a bit fine!

2beornot · 13/08/2013 08:30

Well in the space of a few hours I went from thinking it hasn't happened this month and I made my peace with that to ooh what if its implantation bleeding even though I always thought that it was just something desperate ttc'ers made up

So this morning when I woke with AF like cramps (I assume I never actually get them) I was scared to go to the loo incase it was AF after all.

Se basically when she does arrive properly i'll be devastated again!!

fedupofrainydays · 13/08/2013 09:12

Spotting / breakthrough does exist I know loads of people who have had it so fx that's all it is for you!!

BartBaby · 13/08/2013 09:32

You are still in with a chance 2be I had period like cramps for a few days after I got my bfp. I didnt have any implantation bleeding again thinking its just something for me to clutch on to when af starts to arrive Are you testing or are you trying to hold off? I have my fx for you

fedup book the holiday! We booked one and I had in the back of my mind at least if it doesn't happen I can have a good drink on holiday. I will now be 11 weeks when I go! And if it doesn't work a bit of a break will do you good and make you more relaxed and that might help aswell. Good luck with the results of your scan Flowers

Welcome boxed I agree you should go for the job. If you get it and then fall pg you can always say it was an accident Grin

muzzy good luck with dtd. We used conceive plus. It's similar to the pre seed but felt really good we still use it now even I just got the tube of it and put a bit on dh and a bit on me rather than the applicator so its not too slippy.

hoohaa it sounds like you have done really well with dtd. I hope the guided imagery works for you Smile

geta did the cough syrup work? Lol. I've heard that somewhere else aswell so I hope it did. I was also doing the 'what if we have another baby by then' when I was looking at houses and cars. As it turns out we don't have to move yet, and I'm keeping the car that I have as I love it, but I agree its a nightmare thinking it all the time. Dh sister is getting married June next year, and even before I was of I was thinking about the practicalities of staying over somewhere with a new baby, or if I could just drive home if I was pg and couldn't drink. I now have no idea what we are going to do yet so all the worrying about it was pointless. I think it's best just to try and live life to the full, make as many plans as you can, book as many trips as you can. Worse case is you can't go, or have to change the plans. Nobody with mind if its for a much wanted baby Smile

Hi to anyone else i haven't mentioned. Sorry for the long post! Been feeling pretty shoddy the past few days and haven't had the energy to reply! I feel ok at the min after some lucozade, tonic water and an ice lolly for breakfast are you sure it's still ok for me to post on here? Feel like a bit of an imposter and don't want to make you guys feel bad in anyway.

waves to everyone.

I'll post properly later on but got a BFN this morning Sad
I'll wait for AF to arrive later in the day or tomorrow. I have some back pain so I suspect it should arrive soon.

onelittlepiglet · 13/08/2013 11:39

I'm just waiting for AF to arrive in sat or sun this week. temp dropped again this morning so definitely not pregnant, just don't feel it anyway. At least I will save myself a pg test this month.

Seeing the doctor next week so hopefully will have some tests. Dh is trying to convince me nothing is wrong, but I know deep down it is. He says he will have sets done too to set our minds at rest, but I'm not sure if he actually will.

Next month I have inlaws staying at DTD time so not really ideal...might just not bother. I'm not doing temping so might just not bother with any of it. Not much point anyway.

fedupofrainydays · 13/08/2013 13:38

Oh no. There are some really down people on here today. Big hugs for you ladies. I know it will be me in 12 days too though :(

one it is still worth it but they do say that when you 'give up' that's when it all happens! My DH is the same, he thinks I'm a bit mad really but goes along with it as knows how badly I want another child (and so does he to be fair). Do ask doc for tests - I did and got a blood test and scan out of it so keep asking!

Sorry liquid you think af is coming. I'm still hoping it doesn't

So unmotivated at work today, tired and irritable. Got next week off thank god then two weeks away in sept - woooooo!

2beornot · 13/08/2013 13:49

one if you can stand it, then maybe you are due a month off. You'll still know roughly when to dtd so might get one or two chances. And of course it could still happen this month. Getting going with the tests is probably a good idea too.

I don't know when I'll test. It seems a bit fruitless to do it so soon when I'm spotting and don't feel pregnant. Is like to do it fri if AF hasn't turned up yet but I'm home alone tonight so don't know if I'll resist

2beornot · 13/08/2013 13:50

liquid I know how you feel. The onset of AF is a very depressing time!

LostMarbles99 · 13/08/2013 16:55

Can I join you ladies?

Am ttc#2 and have no idea how any of this works as #1 was a total surprise!

No AF since 7 June and def not pregnant.

Time is not on my side as I'm 35.

Sorry to come in so depressed. Will try to read back through the thread but it's loooong!!

2beornot · 13/08/2013 18:13

Hi lostmarbles!!! As long as your totally nutty you'll fit right in!!! How long have you ttc#2

LostMarbles99 · 13/08/2013 18:50

Dc1 is 6.5 months and have been trying for just about a month really. No joy yet and am hoping for some tips for you all!

2beornot · 13/08/2013 18:59

Ahh but if we had tips, we wouldn't still be here would we? I've been trying since January (gosh that's sound ages when I think about it) but I had a mmc which wasn't discovered until my 12 wk scan in June and I've just finished my first proper ttc since then.

I don't use OPKs yet, but I have a feeling it's only a matter of months!!

fedupofrainydays · 13/08/2013 19:32

Wow! Only 6.5 months and already ttc! I was still in the "this is horrendous phase then" it was 9 months til I felt broody / could do it all again! Impressed though and don't worry about your age as some people don't even start ttc no 1 by then...

Periods could still be weird as its not that long since you gave birth and are you breastfeeding?

And 2be is right, if we knew all the answers we wouldn't be here - haha!!

LostMarbles99 · 13/08/2013 19:44

That's true! I guess there is no magic solution!

Broodiness hit me like a truck the minute ds1 was born; I went from we are definitely only having one child if we must to I want another now! I was broody for #2 the day after my csection!

I just feel my irregular cycles are going to be an issue. I starting reflexology tomorrow to try and regulate things as I think it may have helped me conceive #2.

This sounds weird but I feel so guilty about being so blasé about pregnancy and if I could actually conceive first time around that ill fine it harder this time Sad

Sorry, not v upbeat!

LostMarbles99 · 13/08/2013 19:44

Oh and I'm not breastfeeding!

LostMarbles99 · 13/08/2013 19:45

Sorry reflexology helped me conceive #1 not #2!

LostMarbles99 · 13/08/2013 19:46

2b I'm sorry to hear about your MMC

fedupofrainydays · 13/08/2013 20:23

Not necc true. Although I got pregnant easily first time and second time (also mmc at 12 weeks) and now it's been hard to conceive again. Mmc was in feb. so I'm not a good example!!

I say get reflexology again if it worked last time!!
