Still ttc. Still nutty. Come join us Smile

muzzy1 · 01/08/2013 22:30

No I know you mean. I suppose you could just explain whats been going on and how unusally heavy af is and maybe you can get referred to check everything's ok?

muzzy1 · 01/08/2013 22:55

*i know what you mean.

fedupofrainydays · 01/08/2013 22:58

Yeah, good plan. It's also the ttc stuff in general too. Like might ask for a ov blood test to check I'm actually ovulating. As last few months we have dtd loads around and on ov so just don't get why it's not happening for us.

2beornot · 01/08/2013 23:41

Thanks for the reassurance!! I may pass the news on (at a less crucial time - I have a feeling he'd be embarrassed that I'd told you, not that you know him or anything!).

Muzzy sounds like a crap day all round to me. I hope you've managed to do something like bath/wine/chocloate to cheer you up a little.

Fedup do go to the docs. Just tell them your concerns and see what they say. Can't hurt.

Night night all

fedupofrainydays · 02/08/2013 08:56

Off to the gp this morning. Bit nervous that wont get any help or answers - just another "perhaps you should have some counselling". I don't want fucking counselling I want to be pregnant!!!

BartBaby · 02/08/2013 09:03

Good luck fedup Flowers

OP posts:
2beornot · 02/08/2013 10:15

Fingers crossed they are empathetic fedup.

Ninunina · 02/08/2013 10:24

Good luck fedup! Hopefully you'll get some answers Thanks
AF due today and I had the most restless nights imagining that I wasn't pregnant anymore. I'm so scared it will all go wrong. I did another test for reassurance and though it's significantly darker than the 2 days ago it is still a lot lighter than the control line. is this normal at 14dpo?

fedupofrainydays · 02/08/2013 15:46

Hi ladies
Doc was nice thank goodness. She has given me option of scan to check it out down there and the progesterone test for ovulation. Just pleased I can actually do something that might help get some answers

Yep 14 dpo still light with me both pregnancies ninu. Some people's bfps don't show up til about 15 or 16 dpo at all so don't worry

misshoohaa · 02/08/2013 18:13

That's great news Fedup. Pleased your doctors are doing something to help and hopefully the tests will give you some reassurance.

So pleased its the weekend! Yippeeee don't have to think work for 48 hours. Getting close to DTD time, still not sold on these ovulation tests, kind of wish I had of bought a digi thermometer. Oh well, ill stick with the rip off ovulation tests for now.

Bart you suggested using the cheap ones for negative tests but how do I know it's negative before I POAS!? Am I being completely dense!? BlushBlushBlushBlush

StoneBaby · 02/08/2013 19:02

fedup great news that your gp is helping

My DH does have problems too (hence why we only dtd once a month Blush )

So I'm now on cd12 (I count my missed af 1st day as cd1) and opk daily to see if/when I'll ov this month Hmm

getagoldtoof · 02/08/2013 20:12

Hello all, ninu, you sound like you're doing great. I neverget a strong line until im a week late. Hope you're able to stay relaxed - know it's not easy.

Fedup that is fantastic. You just need some reassurance, and if there is an issue, you need to know so you can try and fix it!

Stone, hoping the opks do the trick for you.

Hoohah, buy a thermometer on ebay, they're a couple of quid, if you get preg this cycle you can use it to take your new baby's temperature!

I have shedloads of work to do this weekend, my job is insane. We are having a child free night, though on Saturday, which I'm very pleased about.

The epu wrote me to say to come back if/when I get preg again as they want to do a scan straight away to make sure it's not ectopic. I really, really want to get pregnant, like all of you other nutters!

Can't remember who said they'd been spotting, but that can be a sign of low progesterone - how long is your lp?

BartBaby · 02/08/2013 20:17

hoohaa i started with the cheap ones around cd8 (knowing i normally ov on cd14) then when the line started getting darker went on to the digi ones aswell. I used them both for a month and were both +ve at the same time so i probably wouldnt have bought the digi ones again. The cheapies were fine for me. Some people dont like them so best just to try

OP posts:
misshoohaa · 02/08/2013 21:13

Thanks all, I got some eBay cheapie a so might use them tomorrow whilst I'm still fairly early on (day 10 I think?) rather than use the gold laced clear blue. Thanks for humouring my OPK cherry popping!

misshoohaa · 02/08/2013 21:14

Geta, good that the EPU has got your back with an early scan. X

fedupofrainydays · 02/08/2013 21:59

Thanks ladies, and that's exactly it. Reassurance that all is ok or if its not, doing something about it now rather than a year down the line. Amazed my doctor didnt tell me to go away and come back in another six months. I think it's really the luck of the draw with doctors, had some really bad ones before but this one seemed to understand my worry.

It was muzzy who had the spotting geta and yes I have since heard it can be is a sign of low progesterone...how are you today muzzy?

geta I hope you get pregnant soon, and great that the EPU want to see you early. If and when I get pregnant again I'm so paying privately for scans if I can't get an NHS one early. After a mmc at 12 weeks I'm not going through that again!

miss get a thermometer anyway, they aren't expensive at all... I'm still steering away from temping as think it will make me crazy obsessed. Hope the work isn't too bad and you have to do loads. I too have a job a bit like that but fortunately going through a quieter patch.

stone I hope the missed af was just a random thing and all is back to normal this month.

Here's to BFPs!!

I'm off to a wedding tomorrow and maybe yes I totally did i bought a nice new dress from lk Bennett (sale I stress!). Af arrival calls for retail therapy sometimes :)

muzzy1 · 02/08/2013 22:39

I'm feeling pretty depressed if I'm honest fedup, got bad cramps and crying into a glass of wine.
I'll look into the progesterone thing thanks. The spotting normally starts 11dop and AF 14dpo so i don't know if that's ok or not.
Just ordered some pre seed for next month.

Well done for going to the dr....getting things checked out is only a good thing.

fedupofrainydays · 02/08/2013 22:47

Muzzy, sorry to hear that. Prob doesn't help but am with you on those feelings. Today was a slightly better day but weds and thurs were awful. Felt so depressed and low and a number of good cries and wines were had. I feel your pain and sending you hugs xx

Just put some fake tan on and wish I hadn't. I stink and gradually turning into a oompa lumpa!!

onelittlepiglet · 03/08/2013 01:56

Hi all

Weekend at last!

Fed up - glad your doctor is listening to you and booking you in for tests etc. I hope you get some answers or reassurance.

Geta - fx you are pregnant again soon and can take epu up on their offer!

Hope everyone else is all ok.

Well finally got a positive opk so that's good! Managed to DTD the last 4 days in a row and Dh is adamant he can manage the next two (we will see...) it will be the most we have done since we first got together I think! Even more than honeymoon possibly....

2beornot · 03/08/2013 07:53

geta that's good news that you'll get an early scan - now you just need to get pregnant!! Hopefully it'll happen soon!!

miss please let us know how you're going with the OPKs. I have so far managed to resist but know when I ovulate will mean we don't have to do it quite so much!! I'll discuss it with DH if this cycle doesn't work.

muzzy totally normal feelings at this stage. In one way it's good that you know your body, but knowing AF is on her way is the worst bfn ever!

stone hopefully you're cycle will sort itself out and that was just a blip.

fedup I'm with you - if I get pregnant again I'm having an early scan. Finding out at 12 weeks that your baby stopped developing at 8 is awful. I'd much rather know as soon as possible if its bad news or reassure myself (although temporarily) if its good.

one that's excellent news! You've certainly done all you can, fingers crossed. Looks like w'll be POAS buddies!!

Hope everyone else is doing ok - esp those ladies who've had BFPs. How are you feeling now?

DH managed to dtd last night so that's cd 7,9 & 13. If we can manage one more (probably cd 15) I'll be happy. And then maybe one for luck afterwards (in case I ovulate late). Then bring on the am I/aren't I obsession oh how I've missed you

misshoohaa · 03/08/2013 12:58

Muzzy and Fedup sorry you are feeling down.

This whole conception thing is a flipping terrible design isn't it. What logic is there in only be a 25% chance of conceiving each cycle, that's ridiculous and cruel!

Don't farm animals shag once and get pregnant!?? Mother Nature is a right bitch.

Piglet - the opks are fine. Day 11 today and still no smiley faces. I only have a 27/28 day cycle so thought it would be showing something by now? My mind is running away with me now and wondering if I even ovulate!!!!????? Hopefully it will happen soon and eBay basal thermometer en route. Thanks ladies, you are a lovely bunch!

BartBaby · 03/08/2013 21:10

Hope you are feeling a bit better now muzzy and fedup hugs for you both.

piglet and 2be sounds like lots of good dtd this month for you both Grin i hope the 2ww doesnt drag too much for you both

hoohaa i had 27 day cycles and always ov on cd14, so still plenty of time left for you. Dont lose hope! How often/what time are you testing? If you test once a day at the same time, it is possible to miss the surge if you only have a short surge (say you test at 4pm, your surge may start at 6pm, but only last until say 10am. So when you do the next test at 4pm you may habe already ov and missed it) so even if you dont get a +ve doesnt always mean you arent ov. But im sure yours will come in the next few days anyway Smile

OP posts:
onelittlepiglet · 04/08/2013 00:58

Yay 2be we can be crazy symptom spotters together! I hate the 2ww....

Well we managed the fifth night in a row tonight...but I think that might be our limit. Let's just say it did not go totally smoothly....but was ok in the end! Blush. I think I will ovulate tomorrow or may have done today so although it would be good to do it tomorrow, I'm not going to beat myself up about it if we don't. Plus we have friends staying over so it might be tricky anyway...

Totally get how you feel misshoohaa - it really is so difficult and so disheartening when there is such a low chance. But I had my mad month last month being all weepy and upset and have been very calm so far this month (even Dh noticed) so I'm hoping that I can keep it up, even when AF shows up in two weeks which I'm kind of resigned to happening now Sad.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend so far!

getagoldtoof · 04/08/2013 09:19

Piglet Shock! You guys are good! Well done! I think if we expect af, it is much more manageable when it comes. It's hard not to get your hopes up, though even secretly. Good work 2be, too.

Hoohah, it's bizarre isn't it? How little chance we actually have of conceiving. Especially when you consider all of the 'accidents' the world over.

How are you feeling bart?

Fedup sorry you've been feeling blue. How has your weekend been?

Muzzy, preseed worked for us third time, last time. It helps if you don't make enough ewcm naturally, I think.

BartBaby · 04/08/2013 10:29

Im feeling good thanks geta not had much sickness and only a few cramps or twinges. Still been very itchy though so i might call the midwife about that next week if it persists.

Im 4+5 now. Still nutty and have done a couple more cheapy tests just to check now and again! Lots of worries that things might go wrong still. So doing them makes me feel better about things Smile
