You don't have to be crazy to be on this thread but it helps

(Ladies, I thought I would jump in and start a non-sweary titled fred. Feel free to turn the air blue now!)

AIBU to call the wrong clinic for an update on my embryo's??

YANBU.

  1. why are there 2 clinics in one town anyway?
  2. why is helena having jaunts out of town??
  3. and why do both clinics start with the same 2 letters- RE???

They were asking for it.

JuicyFatSausage · 15/06/2013 17:03

Tortie, may I add something without adding to your head-fuckery? I was instadiffed last year after two months of trying. When I had a mmc at eleven weeks I didn't have the patience to miscarry naturally. The urge to TTC again was horrendous (and quite irrational, the body needs to recover) so I opted for the ERPC which was brilliant: easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy; no after-pain and literally only hours of mild cramping; almost zero blood.

However, since then I have not had a sniff of a BFP (in sixteen months) and in February they discovered a blocked fallopian tube during my lap & dye. I honestly believe the ERPC displaced some endometrial tissue (some was found behind an ovary) and blocked that tube. I will never again opt for the ERPC.

juicy i'm still neutral. I just have the rage. Have taken to my bed as I suspect DH might be googling ditchthebitch.com (This is/ was an actual divorce advice webiste) but thank you for the flowers!

tame there's some poor czech receptionist having after work drinks talking about a crazy woman who called up today. Hopefully she is laughing, but its all my fault!

But I'm glad you've been amused Juicy.

So, when EC day? Monday?

JuicyFatSausage · 15/06/2013 17:09

AIBU to think:

  1. Czech castles should be built before 1984?

  2. my husband should not have been smoking outside the clinic as soon as he shot his muck?

  3. Helena should be chained to the embryoscope for the five days my little darlings are being monitored except for when she needs a shit?

  4. that, actually, she should be fitted with a colostomy bag so she doesn't have to move?

  1. YNBU
2c YABU (its all about the post-coitus fag, the first thing I will do if this cycle is unsuccessful is have a fag)
  1. YAMDNBU you are most definately not being unreasonable. I though the Czechs worked hard?
  2. YNBU - if she works hard she'll skip lunch/ dinner and therefore won't need a shit. Win win all round Grin

Juicy I'm so glad you have an answer and that its good news. I was starting to get stressed with you and started looking at flights out there to sort the bitch out myself!!!

mejust I am taking it very easy today. I was meant to be out with a friend but instead she insisted on coming over and making me lunch whilst we catch up with our tv programmes. I introduced her to Dexter today (the tv show that I am totally addicted to) so I got to start watching it again.

I am hugely bloated today and the amount of water is not helping. I'm peeing like a racehorse and am starting to resent the fact that I have to walk all the way through the front room and kitchen to get to the toilet. Its days like today I'm thankful for downstairs toilets!

I have lovely stretchy leggings on whilst are comfy but somehow make me look more bloated than I actually am. I'm starting to sink into the sofa so if I don't post after a day or two please come looking for me....

JuicyFatSausage · 15/06/2013 17:25

Fish! Grin Love it!

WishICouldOrgasmFromPenetrationAlone, would a conveyor belt work from your lounge to the bog? You know, like one of those at the airport? I would have a Stannah stairlift fitted if only we didn't live in a bungalow Hmm

tametortie · 15/06/2013 17:53

juicy I love the fact that despite everything you are going through you are still managing to go on the aibu board and goad and argue. High five my friend Grin

JuicyFatSausage · 15/06/2013 17:54

Rachel, I just got this from a lady on FF:

"Re: monitoring. I understand it to be time lapsed photos used for selecting the best embryos. The embryos are kept in perfect temperature conditions per 12 cell pod and not disturbed (the non-monitoring method takes them in/out which doesn't help them). I don't understand the monitoring to be like embryo rescue or the like. That's why we lose some on the journey. I would also imagine that the embryologists can dial-in to the computer with the monitoring data from home, meaning they would go in if there was a big general problem. I would also imagine the machine is on UPS, so not affected by power cuts, etc.... A lot of computer monitoring these days is done in the same remote way. Doesn't mean it's not monitored.

I know it's stressful, but try to stay relaxed. They do know what they're doing. You just need to go with the flow."

In other words: chill the fuck out, you pompous, whining slag

wishwash · 15/06/2013 17:55

mejust I'm still on season 2 of walking dead and finding it a bit slow. Mr Wish has told me to get through season 2 cause season 3 is awesome so I need to push through I think!

JuicyFatSausage · 15/06/2013 17:57

Tortie, I wrote all those deleted posts this morning whilst I was waiting for Helena to call Grin

mejust · 15/06/2013 18:00

tametortie · 15/06/2013 18:01

Love it! Grin

buzzybee123 · 15/06/2013 18:04

tortie maybe see what is left when you have the scan on Tuesday, it usually takes a couple of days after stopping the the cyclogest for things to happen, I have had 2 ERPC's the second time they perforated my uterus and after being an instadiffer twice nothing has happened since, alot of women do say that after ERPC'S

JuicyFatSausage · 15/06/2013 18:08

Blimey, Buzzy, I didn't know that about you, that you were barren after ERPC. I wish they would officially investigate what damage can be done by these bloody so-called straightforward operations Sad

tametortie · 15/06/2013 18:09

Christ, I think the natural way may be better even if it does take aaaaages. Sad

JuicyFatSausage · 15/06/2013 18:19

Tortie, a natural mc shouldn't take more than six weeks but I know how long that feels when plans are in the offing.

buzzybee123 · 15/06/2013 18:21

tortie its a 1/350 chance of it happening and i'm not trying to scare you as natural miscarriage is fucking miserable too, I also have a tilted uterus which is probably why it happened, maybe just see what happens over the next few days

tametortie · 15/06/2013 18:33

Maybe if there are things still there, i can ask for medical inducement? Get things moving. Grim.

buzzybee123 · 15/06/2013 18:35

sadly it is grim, its hard to know what to do as you just want it over with
