You don't have to be crazy to be on this thread but it helps

(Ladies, I thought I would jump in and start a non-sweary titled fred. Feel free to turn the air blue now!)

Thanks fish ,are you back at hospital tomorrow?
sounds like you will be busy tonight try and stay positive x

wishicouldhavealargeMalibu · 22/06/2013 14:40

mejust I'm glad you've finally got your EC planned Smile very exciting. I didn't like being under either but at least its for a good cause!

Thanks for asking about my eggies. 3 of them are at 4 cell, 8 at 2 cell. Find out tomorrow when ET will be.

Fingers crossed for you fish, I'm sure everything is going to be fine!!

tametortie · 22/06/2013 17:49

Oh my goodness, fish poor you!! Your e2 has gone high. I think we all need to trust and wait though. Its a fairly standard thing to coast in some clinics.

My old clinic never took e2 levels Hmm (hence all the cysts...) but my new one does and the cycle is much better managed by reading these levels. You are just going to have to sit this out and wait im afraid, which is a ball ache but rest assured, its being managed and they see this all the time. Look up coasting on ff- I seem to remember some clinics do it a lot??? we are all here with you matey.

mejust fab news for Monday!! Egg sharing does have an extra notch of stress cos you want enough eggs for yourself but I think you will be fine.

euro have you been to tdl for that last minute blood test?? What a stress!! Are you good to go now?

expat how are you feeling?

I have had a fab consultation with Melanie Brown. And no it wasn't the northern leopard print wearing one. She was great- have loads of ideas to take away. And think she may have convinced DH to stop fucking cycling!! Amen!!

Guys, I know this is drastic but I am going to try and go gluten free. I eat loads of bread and krisprolls are my staple diet and she says there are links between gluten and endometriosis and immune disorders. Even if I only do it for a few months, I feel that I really want to do this. Really give it a go and see if my symptoms improve. Is anybody here gluten free? What do you think?

This will be my 4th cycle and I really want it to work Sad

JuicySausage · 22/06/2013 18:59

Flaming heck, Fish, I wish you would get a break, poor you. I agree with the others, though: they know what they're doing

Are you excited, Wish? Smile

Mejust, how are you coping today, love?

Rachel, where are you on the 2ww? I'm thinking of you and could do with some chit-chat from my fellow menkuller...

Flower, have we done your head in? Come back!

Expat, how are the squits, you poor lamb x

TakesAllTorts, you sound so buoyant and positive, how lovely to hear you like this. Do whatever you feel will help you either physically or mentally for the next stage of your journey - we are here for you (although I'm not sure Zammo will react kindly to a glue-free fred).

Zammo, how's the rising apoplexy? I do hope you find some zen for tomorrow, poor you. Is your husband going with you. What's for tea in your lawyers' mansion?

I've just finished an afternoon of oiling my chrome appliances Hmm

eurozammo · 22/06/2013 21:57

Acu calmed me down a bit. I have had a condemned woman's dinner of monster tiger prawns.

Yep, the emergency blood tests were at TDL. Hopefully the results came through in time. Confused I am so pissed off at the amount of extra stress this debacle added to the proceedings.

expat how are you doing?

joos when are you planning on testing?

tame joos' is right - you do sound very upbeat. :) Re: being gluten free, I cut it out for a couple of months last autumn (to see if it gave me more energy) and had a 9 day luteal phase. I think it was failed implantation, but it was the nearest I had got to anything happening in 2 years. So I gave it up again for IVF#1 and obviously got my BFP, but wasn't looking forward to 9 months wheat free - I love bread and pasta! This time I am just not motivated enough to do it again. We'll see what happens.

mejust · 22/06/2013 22:12

NO MORE NEEDLES Grin iv had 3 shots today and 2 in past hour or so,now just have to hope consultant knows his stuff telling me to take more menopur tonight with hcg of 10000 when my bloods at 15000,i dont want ohss and im scared.
am pleased this is nearly all over now iv had enough.

euro good luck tomorrow i know your nervous like mebut we nearly finished the worst.

tametortie · 22/06/2013 22:12

Euro- thats really interesting. Our only major problem is that we go to France for 2 weeks at the end of July and she said France is a difficult place to be gluten free (nice patisseries!) and she thinks we need to relax and enjoy our holiday so she said to have a practise run now, eat reduced gluten on holiday then strictly gluten free when we get back. I LOVE the flexibility and realistic attitude she has. She is also sending me a list of supplements for me and DH. I do feel positive and I feel I can control this- I can't control the outcome but I can control what I fill my mush with Smile

Tomorrow im going to do some meal planning cos DD is ill and DH is building a shed.

I feel extra spurred on because I have terrible endometriosis pain tonight. This happened last time I had a MC. I think pregnancy hormones calm Endo and as soon as they drop, you get a little flare up. The thought of being able to control this without surgery seems amazing. Mel B said there is loads of research that shows a massive link between Endo pain and gluten. Does anyone else on here have endometriosis? I dont remember anyone else mentioning it.

Hope rachel is ok? Will she have tested by now?

mejust · 22/06/2013 22:15

motor did you have to trigger?

tametortie · 22/06/2013 22:15

Oh and good luck tomorrow euro. You will be grand x I am impressed with your clinic doing ec on a Sunday. Excellent x

Mejust- congrats! Almost there... Xxx

mejust · 22/06/2013 22:19

Thanks tam you sound good today after the horrible time you have had,im glad your feeling a little better.

juicy if im strung up like mel gibson monday ill kill you Wink

JuicySausage · 22/06/2013 22:33

Mejust, I'll be right there when you wake up, covered in blue face paint bellowing: "FREEEEEEEEEEDOOOOOOOMMMM!!!" whilst tossing my manky dreds.

Best of British tomorrow, Zammo, really hope you're pleasantly surprised. We'll be thinking of you x

JuicySausage · 22/06/2013 22:37

MejustWannaStab, can I have your needles?

JuicySausage · 22/06/2013 22:46

Sorry for the cluster posts but I just wanted to squeeze Tortie. Hope your pain eases up x

MotorcycleMama · 22/06/2013 22:47

tame could you tell me what Scary Spice said to your OH to convince him to stop cycling? My OH is doing a 100k cycle tomorrow - the day before egg collection (i.e. the only time he has to do anything). I am not happy but we have fallen out about it once and I vowed never to mention it again. I'm scared in case this doesn't work and it is attributed to sperm issues - I would be pretty angry.
Anyway, really glad you got some positive advice on how you can go forward from here.
mejust no, I don't need to trigger. Just turn up when they think transfer is sensible. I'm terrified that we won't have enough eggs. On Friday the donor had 10 follicles. Anyway, I'm just trying not to get too anxious as it doesn't help - what will be, will be. How are you doing?
wish great news re your embies!
fish It sounds like your clinic are keeping a really good eye on your situation, so try not to fret, you'll be right and ready to have collection soon.
euro best of luck for tomorrow.
Hi juicylubes - keep us updated on the POAS situation!

tametortie · 22/06/2013 22:55

Thank you juicy I've dosed myself up on painkillers, ill be ok Smile

motor me and DH have probably had the same discussions and fall outs. DH reguarly does 40 miles at the weekend and swears its not an issue Hmm she did point out to him that it creates heat, it holds the testicles compressed into the body because of the padding and damages sperm. She has absolutely banned all cycling. He was supposed to be cycling in the alps on holiday but has said he is not going to take his bike. Im impressed that he has commited to this cos he was dead set against it before.

Take heart motor- the sperm he releases on ec day were produced 100 days before, so should not be damaged by the bike ride I dont think. But feel free to say I told you so if the sample is not good- I did to dh! Bloody cycling.

mejust · 22/06/2013 22:56

motor im ok quite nervous now as EC only a day away and i get palps when run down so dont know how my body will react after all this.iv got 5 mature follies and 8 almost there,im also worried i wont get enough eggs myself to make the transfer, but as they say it only takes 1.

juicy if i scream FREEDOM in EC while drugged up and pissing myself laughing im blaming you.

JuicySausage · 22/06/2013 23:06

If I'm honest I think any bloke who won't give certain things up to assuage his missus' fears before IVF is an utter wanker. And that goes for my husband who never even reduced his smoking and actually had a fag outside the clinic before and after EC

JuicySausage · 22/06/2013 23:06

Maybe 'utter wanker' is a tad strong. Soz Hmm

tametortie · 22/06/2013 23:15

Juicy- I felt the same about DH. He wouldn't listen to me and when we went for our first consultation at nurture, I asked the consultant but he wouldn't commit either way Angry

Im glad he seems to have taken on board what Mel said today. He sort of tried to negotiate but she was adamant and very firm. She said "its only 3 months. Why not just do it and tick the box?" its not forever!!

Why not just do it because your wife, who is doing all the injections and going through egg collection, wants you to???

Fabuluce · 22/06/2013 23:25

Hear hear - my husb is the same - he seems to be actively drinking more in the lead up than he does normally - what's that all about??? In every other way he is seemingly rational until it comes to his little fellas and then he's just a bit bonkers - he even sees it in others but is blinkered to his own production....why??? It's not worth another argument but screaming I told you so once we've paid all the money and I'm there with legs akimbo seems a little late in the game...

Cuddles and hair strokes for everyone going through tough times at the moment. Am thinking of you all. Xx

Juice - double topic dinner tonight? I had venison!!

twinklestar2 · 22/06/2013 23:37

I heard that a friends sister was pregnant today and didnt cry

Re my friend. The reason I confided in her is because I thought she'd understand considering last year at age 33 her fiancé got somebody else pregnant and she's been worried ever since that she'll never find anyone else and have children. You'd think she'd be sympathetic huh?

I've learnt now not to confide in her. Which is a shame really.

eurozammo · 23/06/2013 06:44

Mr euro doesn't have any sperm unfriendly habits like cycling or smoking (which in a way is a pain, because it means there is not much he can do to improve his contribution), but he is rubbish at taking supplements. I bought him maca a while ago. He took a couple then stopped. I've just spotted them on the worktop. he appears to think one on the morning of EC is all that is needed. FFS.

I had a conversation months ago with him along the lines of "if someone told me that there was even a tiny chance that popping a few vits might save you from going through a horrible invasive medical procedure and taking loads of drugs that will fuck you up, I wouldn't hesitate". He still didn't. I don't get it. He's lovely and would normally do anything for me, but not this. He doesn't object to it. He's just not bothered enough to remember to take them.

twink sorry about the announcement. I reckon I'm going to get a couple in the next few weeks as two friends have told me that they are trying. One is instadiffer. The other in the past has got pregnant within a few months each time (but has had several mcs).

I've been up since 4. Hmm Best go and shower in a mo.

JuicySausage · 23/06/2013 07:11

When th'usband's spaff results came back as terrifically-improved he refused to espouse the virtues of the vitamins I had forced him to take. He told everyone that the rubbish first sample was because "I think I may have wanked the night before" Hmm

Massive luck this morning, Zammo, really roaring you on here and secretly hoping for TWO eggs x

TortsHilairballs, I sniggered at your hubby attempting to 'negotiate' with Melanie Brown - the oracle of squished scrotums Grin

Fabuluce, you're ace, did we tell you that yet? So glad you joined the nut house Smile

Ah, Twinks, now this all makes sense Your friend is probably highly resentful of all her friends' relationships at the mo 'cos hers has imploded, poor lass (and in the most horrid way I can imagine. Utter bastard). So, when you talk about your heartache she compares it to hers and thinks you're being unreasonable ('cos you've got a husband who isn't impregnating other women).

My temp is even higher this morning, look! look!

JuicySausage · 23/06/2013 07:14

Please....someone tell me these temps mean nothing.

MotorcycleMama · 23/06/2013 07:24

Looks promising juicy!
