Advice re OPK please-very early smiley face

This is my second month using an OPK (clearblue digital that tells you when you are both high and peak fertility). Last month I didn't get a high fertility sign at all (flashing smiley face), it just went straight to peak fertility (fixed smiley face). This was on day 12 which was a couple of days earlier than expected but still seemed normal.

I only finished my period a couple of days ago but started using the opk straight away as my cycles vary a bit (26-30 days). Today (day 8) I got a high fertlity sign. Surely this is too early?

So, we had sex last night just for fun rather than baby making but now I'm thinking should we do it again tonight as I got the high (but not peak) fertility sign or shall we just start doing it every other day until I get the peak fertility smiley face. I don't want to exhaust DH and his swimmers but don't want to miss the window either.

Not sure, I thought implantation bleeding would typically be 7-10 days after ovulation. I had a midcycle spotting/bleed this month and then ovulated (got peak fertility) 7 days after it started so if it doesn't turn into af continue to dtd.

Googled it...said on a few sites...if you have a typical 28 day cycle (which I do) you would typically get the spotting between day 20-24 o your cycle...today is my day 20...it's really getting my hopes up to much! Need to stop reading!!! Still dtd just on case but would have ovulated by now I'm sure!! X

Just thinking, Bambi, I had implantation bleeding with DS and it would have been around day 18-20 of a 29 day cycle so it does sound encouraging.

Ohhh fingers crossed then, was such a little amount literally twice when I wiped (tmi) had backache all night and day as well...probably not a sign! Probably slept funny! But can't help sign watch now!!

Okay sorry if this is tmi but...quick question I'm pretty clueless to ov signs but read that after ov your not supposed to get much cm is this right?? Cus that doesn't seem to happen to me?? Well hasn't this month and first month I'm really looking!! So is it likely I haven't ov??

I think it varies person to person to be honest Bambi. I've read that lack of cm and plenty of cm can both be signs of pregnancy so basically try not to over analyse. Easier said than done I know.

I agree with strawberry it varies from person to person and also for the same person. Again, sorry if tmi but a couple of months ago I had noticeable stringy EWCM but I haven't noticed much cm at all the last 2cycles and definately not the EWCM kind. Like I said before I'm not very good at keeping in touch with my body though, that's why I opted for the ov sticks.

It is possible not to ovulate every cycle which is a pain when ttc but we'll both just have to try again next month if that's the case. Lets hope the witch stays away so we can get testing soon x

I've been bad...I tested this morning at 10 dpo and it was negative. I don't know what made me do it as I'm starting to feel crampy, a bit down and a bit bloated. All signs for me that af is on the way. Oh well...

Oh I've been stupid before and tested really early! Just remember it is really early and doesn't mean you're actually not pregnant! Wait a few days and test again! I'm going to test Friday I think... Will be a bit early but within 4 day clear blue window!

Don't lose hope strawberry, it's really early and like bambi said it doesn't mean anything. It's really hard to resist but give it a rest for a few days and try again.
I've also had the worst mood swings ever over the last few days and feeling like af is one her way, I don't know how to describe it other than feeling heavy and heated the precursor to the cramps and bloating.

Ah dont bnmum...I can't stop symptom spotting its awful!! Been feeling queasy all day but that's not usual for me! And tmi alert but got a really wet feeling down below! Does that make sense!!

Well AF has reared it's ugly head for me today...on CD24 which is a worryingly short cycle. Boo!

On a positive note, it's DHs birthday today, the weather is fab and we are going to a fancy hotel for the night so I'm off to have a few drinks in the sunshine. Hope you all have better results than me this month.
