Oh. I've just googled it. I do often wonder how I ever managed to survive or learn anything prior to having google to hold my hand. xx

Tilson78 · 25/05/2013 22:14

Hi C99875 and Coffee1sugar, thanks for your welcome!

Coffee1sugar - gosh, that sounds so traumatic! Your poor thing. Amazing that you now have the confidence to start having sex again. Congratulations! I can only imagine what a big deal that is! As for the lube, we rely on it too so we're having to find a conception friendly one. I've seen accessdiagnostics.co.uk mentioned on some forums, I was just going to buy it from Amazon. Some people really rave about it but I need to do a bit more research. It seems as though you have to insert it which I'm really not into. I'll keep you posted on my findings. People also recommend Conceive Plus...

Beccadugs · 25/05/2013 22:42

Hi Tilison! Welcome!

About preseed, you can insert it, if you are using it to replace cervical mucus and want it up by your cervix. However you can also use it in the traditional way, ie whack a bit on where required. I really like it, it is nice and silky and not at all sticky.

Tilson78 · 25/05/2013 22:45

Ooh thanks Beccadugs thats exactly what I wanted to know. Will definitely order some when/if I get my AF!

Coffee1Sugar · 26/05/2013 07:52

Becca where did you order it from?

Morning peeps. Sorry to hear your news Flower. Sending virtual hugs, I'm at a loss of what to say.

Welcome to the thread Tilson.

I have read about preseed but I don't really get it. Maybe I read wrong but it doesn't actually increase your chance of conception does it? Just an alternative to products that would reduce the chance of conception. Is that right?

Anyway. After my post 2 days ago with my pretend pregnancy symptoms (The symptoms were real but I suspect not pregnancy related), I spent yesterday feeling quite nauseous again! I visited my gran who has a bench swing in her back garden and couldn't stay sat on it as I felt I was actually going to be sick - very unlike me. It got me thinking that it was pregnancy symptoms and so today... Blush ... I poas. It was BFN ofc, AF isn't due for another 5 days at least (I also checked my calendar app). Also, with the limited DTD around ovulation I shouldn't be expecting a BFP this month and am quite possibly setting myself up for disappointment. On the bright side - I'm away till Wednesday night and only brought 1 test with me, so hopefully the temptation is removed now.

GnomieGrace · 26/05/2013 09:04

Flower so sorry! I have had a busy few days at work also have decided to paint the back bedroom turning it into a nursery. Can't imagine how you are feeling :-(

blueamber · 26/05/2013 11:58

I'm not using it myself, but I did read about preseed and another similar product called conceive plus. Boots have it and it's also on amazon. Don't know if it's effective.

Does anyone know how ewcm works, do you just need it at the cervix or are you supposed to have loads of it? Although I guess it's another ' it's different for every woman'.

Tilson78 · 26/05/2013 12:06

Hi 1Catherine - you're right, Preseed doesn't increase your chance of conception but it just doesn't interfere with the motility of sperm, as other lubes do. I also had all the pregnancy symptoms in April! I was convinced I was pregnant, was dizzy, super clumsy, feeling really badly nauseous, swollen breasts, the lot! Of course I got my AF though. In fact, last month was similar, my AF was also late by a few days and I was 100% positive I was, took two tests and both negative Confused. So, you're not the only one setting yourself up for disappointment. That time of the month can be crazy making! We'll get there!

BNmum · 26/05/2013 13:56

I read some really promising reviews about proseed and conceive plus on another mn thread but I haven't tried any myself. I am tempted though.

Is anyone using clear blue ovulation kits with hormone indicator? I wouldnt normally get the rolls royce of kits but these got were on special offer and cheaper than the normal ones. I opened them yesterday to try and got a low fertility which wasn't suprising as it was cd9 anyway dtd just for fun. I've just tested for today and got a flashing symbol to indicate high fertility which I wasn't expecting since ovulation calc said 31 May. I'll continue testing until I get the peak symbol but wondered how long does the high fertility phase normally last before peak fertility? I'm going to visit my parents soon so no chance of dtd then so hoping its not going to coincide with ovulation.

Hi Tilson 78. I know what you mean about thinking you were pregnant. I was supposed to get my period on 26 April but it never came until 12 May. I carried out numerous tests as well. I had all the symptoms as well.
Well I'm always clumsy so I wont include that!
dizziness
sore boobs
head ache
metalic taste in my mouth
Sickness
Getting very emotional and taking everything personal.
However I do know that period symtoms can be the same as pregnancy symptoms or perhaps it could have been a phantom pregnancy. xxx

Sorry I accidently posted that twice then. xx

tinypolkadot · 26/05/2013 16:28

Um, I think I've got a BFP!

I was so certain I didn't yesterday as both tests were negative. I woke up this morning and my boobs just felt a totally different shape, so I thought that was weird.

I did a cheapo test this morn and thought it was maybe just an evap line. I looked at the superdrug test I did yesterday and there was a really thin line there.

So I did my last superdrug test at lunch time today and there was a really faint line, it's getting stronger as time goes on. Could this be a bfp?

AF hasn't shown yet, apart from the usual spotting I get which is why I thought she was on the way.

And I had wine last night Confused

1Catherine1 · 26/05/2013 16:42

Don't worry about the wine - at this stage its all chemicals and it won't even go near the baby.

So, I guess you are our first BFP - Congratulations but as the Wine is off the menu, here is Brew instead!

I will await the confirmations from your first pee of the day tomorrow! x

tinypolkadot · 26/05/2013 16:57

Thanks 1Catherine1 part of me thinks this can't be right!

Eek! Grin

GnomieGrace · 26/05/2013 17:22

Good luck Tiny! Hope it is a BFP! Fingers crossed!

C999875 · 26/05/2013 17:48

Hi Tinypolkadot. Fabulous news our first B.F.P. very pleased for you. I will be testing 7 June and if A.f doesn't arrive 14 June. Keep you fingers crossed for me. xxx

BNmum · 26/05/2013 18:24

Wow! That's great news tiny. Congratulations! I hope it's a sign of things to come.

tinypolkadot · 26/05/2013 18:40

Thanks everyone, there is definitely a clear line there now!

I will pee in a pot in the morning, use and internet cheapie and then probably run around and to try to get a more expensive stick. Hope I can get one on a bank holiday!

Coffee1Sugar · 26/05/2013 19:17

tinypolkadot · 27/05/2013 08:52

Thanks guys Smile

Just bought some clear blue digital from Asda (box of 2 for £10 - bargain) and it says pregnant 1 - 2 weeks!

I am in quiet disbelief. So worried something might go wrong now, but will try not to worry too much.

Thanks for listening to my ttc thoughts on this thread, hopefully there will be many more bfp to come!

Tilson78 · 27/05/2013 09:14
