As if ttc wasn't nerve wrecking enough, we like the extra challenge of getting that BFP while still breastfeeding a baby or toddler. While this isn't an easy endouvour, it certainly isn't impossible as many graduates on the previous threads prove.

I'm posting a link here for any newcomers about fertility while breastfeeding.

Am also wonderig if you'd like to have some sort of stats for the tread members. I'll just start myself.

Hi Eggs, DD has just turned 1, can't quite believe it (and really thought I would be getting more sleep by now!). You're right, nine months is 3/4 of her total age at the minute - almost a lifetime! I'm sure we would work it all out when it happens. Just need to get AF over with then we can get on with the fun stuff. Hasn't really developed from a bit of spotting so not sure if it is going to arrive with a vengeance or pitter away into nothing, suppose it could take a while to get back to normal and I'll just have to be patient. Know my sister and her husband are trying too, would be lovely to go through it at the same time and have children the same age!

Hi everyone. Haven't posted in a while as my phone doesn't seem to like this thread and crashes whenever I tried.
I just joined in July and made a complete pigs ear of OPK for the first time and so just randomly DTD a handful of times over 2 weeks. Had a couple of days nausea, and early nights. Got to AF due date and no AF. Did a test- BFN. 4 days, 3 more. BFN so bought a proper pregnancy test and got a BFP! So this thread has been my good luck charm!
Feel like I'll be leaving the thread before I got a chance to get to know anyone. Good luck to everyone!

Realise I haven't posted for ages and ages, since first joining in really, but have been following the thread and have come to whisper that I had a (faint) bfp yesterday. Need to go and get another test to check but didn't manage to get into town today because dcs were grumpy. AF was due on Sat or Sun. Trying to not get too excited yet.

mamapants · 20/08/2013 21:44

Yay yay yay! Big virtual hugs for Sunny!! So pleased it's finally here... We've all been waiting so long Smile. Here's to hoping it won't make an appearance again in a long time, for imminent BFP reasons Grin

And two BFPs on the thread as well! Fantastic news. Big congratulations mama and phil!! Wave some BFP magic in the direction of the rest of us please Grin

Wildwaterfalls · 20/08/2013 22:46

Sorry have to post again Sunny to say how brilliant it is you didn't have to start the night weaning!!

Can I join? Need another thread to obsess on (already on TTC #3) Wink

Conceived #2 while bf - took 16 months but started a lot earlier than this time (had more energy then!) and AF is regular 27-28 day cycle so quietly hopeful.

Last time had to nightwean to get BFP - still currently bf at night but less than before. Hoping pg would make DS wean as don't really fancy tandemming again ... On CD17 but may have ov late or have short luteal phase, not sure.

Congrats on return of AF Sunny - hope yr cycle settles down quickly :)

Welcome Three! Good to have you on the thread. Incredibly impressed with you tandem feeding last time. How did that work in practice? Did you find it very hard?

I'm not sure what will happen with bf once I'm pregnant actually. At the moment DD and I are very happy with our morning and evening feed schedule, but we'll see.

Sunny still so excited for you! Are you going to start charting / tracking your cycle straight away?

Haha you're quick off the mark with fertility friend! I did OPKs again this month and am now 10dpo, but trying to avoid early testing. Due on Mon.

Not many symptoms apart from a very embarrassing one yesterday - burst into tears when a GP spoke to me harshly (I'd gone in to get a rash checked that I'd spotted on DD, and he felt I was essentially wasting his time), and just couldn't stop crying. I normally rarely cry! Blush
