TTC #2 and turning into a nut job!

Ladies, bring me back down to Earth before it's too late! I'm TTC #2 and its only the 2nd cycle and I'm already doing my own head in not to mention my OH.....we're not the kind of couple to have regular sex when not TTC (much to my disappointment ) so it's a real effort for DS to, erm, pull his finger out as it were and DTD every other day. With DS1 I had no idea about CM and OPKs and just used an ovulation calendar for timing but this time round I'm in danger of falling into the OPK trap! I'm aware of my constant whittling and DH even said that he hopes I get pregnant this month so he doesn't have to listen to me begging for him to do it just one more time! Anyone in the same boat?

Not much to report here - had some more spotting of old brown blood but trying not to panic. We did see the hb last week so I'm trying to stay positive. I'm still knackered, constipated and grumpy so I'm taking that as a good sign! The days are dragging til 12 weeks! 7+4 here now....

Thanks abi, not feeling quite so grumpy this afternoon not sure why cos I've been up all nite with ds who has a virus

Not sure if I'm imagining it but my boobs feel a bit tingly and the pressure feeling is back again but only when I'm sitting down paying attention to it.

well I guess I lied, I've been lurking ever since I said I was going to avoid mums net and Google. I have been attempting to work out my ovulation dates and how my cycle is working since my ds. I've been using opks of amazon and writing how many days past my cycle they are and comparing them, they have been getting darker. we dtd on day 12, 14, 17 (which was last night) and my opk was dark today so hopefully this month I have made more of an effort. think I'll convince my dh to try tomorrow night too. . I also bought some vitamin b complex as I saw a friend who deals with fertility and infertility and recommended me to take this as she thinks I'm a bit hormonally unbalanced.

thanks baby rose, hope your doing OK. I've noticed your not that upbeat at the moment. trust me i get cheesed off that everyone around me is falling pregnant. saying that though I did the opk this am and have read its best to do them after 2pm so have just peed on another opk.

Yes I think opk's are to used for afternoons rather than fmu. I can't remember what time til tho sorry.

My second opk was as dark as the other line so I guess it is today, no ewcm so that gave me something else to Google. Believe me ive googled everything the last few months. My tablet is so annoying to reply on as I can't see what everyone has typed let alone remember what has been said

Hope everyone is feelin OK today

I had my Dr appt to discuss our fertility issues this morning. She was lovely about it and I am booked in for full fertility bloods, so blood taken on day 1/2 and day 21 so they can check everything - thyroid etc

DH has to do a sample and take it over to the lab for a sperm function test looking forward to that conversation when he gets home

Once we've done all that we'll be referred to the fertility clinic So just have to wait for AF now, 5 days to go.

She did say that you are far more likey to conceive in the 5 days running up to ovulation than on the day itself so try to DTD days 9-15 for me. And not to do it every day but every other - more chance of good quailty sperm that way like a fine wine they get better with age or something

So I am a little more relaxed now the ball is at least rolling, albeit slowly.

Hi ladies

As predicted its too early to see anything. She saw a sac, yolk and embryo measuring 2mm - she said we wouldn't see a heartbeat until at least 7mm long. She puts me a 5 weeks and 1 day which given my long cycles and late ovulation is totally plausible.

Back for a re-scan on 7th June x

Hey, a yolk, sac and embryo isn't "too early to see anything" - that is FAB news! Congratulations!

Thanks attila I do feel differently to last time - almost more positive but don't want to feel stupid if it all goes wrong. I know this sounds daft but my biggest fear is that I was actually 5 weeks and 1 day say last week and that it's already stopped growing but I'm sure that's just my nervousness!! Xx

mummy great news so far and good this pg is feeling different.

4dpo and its started... Going mad already! Looking up everything on google (if anyone needs to know anything about ovulation or fertilization etc etc just let me know!) i keep counting down the days until i can poas and have any hope of it being a bfp, even though i counted 10 minutes ago, and my app tells me in big letters

Im grumpy and tired and irritable and all i want is chocolate! Please tell me its not just me?! Lol. I could add all of this to my list of symptom spotting, but im sure i felt exactly the same last month...

Hope everyone else is doing ok? Any tips for getting through the 2ww without going completely off the rails? (bearing in mind it is bank holiday weekend and the weather is pants!)

Bart I am 10dpo, despite feeling hopeless I am still itching to poas Will wait til weds (that's if AF hasn't turned up - though I have all my normal AF symptoms )

AF arrived during the night. So it means this month was a 3 days cycle. So dtd will be around 8 June (I now need to convinced DH to dtd for more than once around this date)

BFN for me this morning :( I'm 12dpo so if I was pg it would show up by now. Bit gutted to be honest. So it looks like we will be dtd at about the same time Stone!

And AF this morning Meh.

Sorry to hear AF arrived stone and attlia - hope she doesn't stay around for too long.

I started spotting yesterday - it seems to have stopped now but in not feeling very positive about it :-( I'm going to phone the EPU and see if they will scan be earlier than the 2 weeks but I am not very hopeful.
