TTC #2 and turning into a nut job!

Ladies, bring me back down to Earth before it's too late! I'm TTC #2 and its only the 2nd cycle and I'm already doing my own head in not to mention my OH.....we're not the kind of couple to have regular sex when not TTC (much to my disappointment Sad) so it's a real effort for DS to, erm, pull his finger out as it were and DTD every other day. With DS1 I had no idea about CM and OPKs and just used an ovulation calendar for timing but this time round I'm in danger of falling into the OPK trap! I'm aware of my constant whittling and DH even said that he hopes I get pregnant this month so he doesn't have to listen to me begging for him to do it just one more time! Anyone in the same boat?

babyrose it seems like its going to take forever! Im only on day 1 of the 2ww and keep looking online to see whats happening in there lol. How are you getting on? Its next week i think will be the worst waiting to POAS.

The cm was clear, like ewcm you get around ovulation. But about 10 mins ago I went upstairs to the loo bcos I felt a trickle went for a wee, there was some blood like a red mixed with brown, and a bit more in my pants. Earlier on I was so tired so luckily my OH had come home for the day so I could go upstairs and sleep for an hour or so, I felt better for it, but did have left side stabbing pains in abdomen. Just waiting for an intense headache then I know it must be my AF. I really hope not and that its just spotting but I have a funny feeling it might be my AF. [Sad] (sorry if this is tmi!)

Hi ladies. Well, I cracked-tested yesterday using a First Response-and got BFP! Double checked with one of the cheapy Amazon ones (Bartbaby, these were the ones with the very faint lines) and it's definitely a decent old line! Feel a bit overwhelmed-now have the 'did we do the right thing?' panic which I'm very prone to. But couldn't sleep last night with excitement. I have all fingers crossed for you ladies xxx

ASmidge congrats!! Im so happy you got your BFP! Grin ive just ordered some of those so i hope they are as lucky for me this month. I still have 12/13 days though really before i can think about starting to poas.

Abi sorry to hear you think AF is coming Sad i think i will be in the same boat in 2 weeks when mine inevitably turns up. You never know tho until she does arrive. It could always be spotting. I agree tho it is so confusing as a lot of the pg symptoms are the same as the af ones!

Sorry to hear that AF might be on its way Abi. I hope its just spotting and not the witch herself.

Muzzy I'm sorry to hear about your chemical pregnancy. I think getting a BFP and then AF arriving is so much worse than just waiting for your period to start, so your story has encouraged me to wait a bit longer before testing. I hope this month will be lucky for you.

I'm due on Sunday and still sitting on my hands so as not to test! Grin I did unwrap my Boots pg tests this morning and read the instructions but they say to use them on the day your period is due Sad Mustn't run out and buy a First Response....

abi sorry you feel like AF is coming - it is so hard as pregnancy and AF symptoms are so similar - I thought my AF had arrived when I had some spotting the day it was due but it must have been imbedding bleeding - it's not over until she arrives in full force - fingers crossed lovely.

babyrose hope the 2ww doesn't drag too much for you - you seem to be busy enough with the move and DS birthday - hope the wait flies by!!

I am still fairly symptom free (which is sending me into a spiral of anxiety!). My boobs are sore at night and I am feeling a bit more tired than usual but other than that I'm feeling fine. I was like this when I was pregnant with DS so I am just trying to remain positive. I have my scan on Friday morning and me and DH are both very nervous!! Xx

Congrats asmidge! I also had that mini-panic but it didn't last long!

abi keeping my fingers crossed for you that AF isn't on its way. I also had a bit of blood around AF time but must have been implantation bleeding. Keep us posted.

Well I spoke to DH. I explained that he may have noticed that I did not notify him of any dinner date this month (he then asked me when it should have been) due to him been chattered (we're finishing building an extension ourselves) but that next month I was expecting results while crying as this situation upsets me He responded well and fx next month will be my month

Well ladies...... its not just spotting its deffo af!! (Next bit tmi) every time ive wee'd there's bright red blood and clots too, so this month its a no go for me!! Hey ho onto the next cycle! abi wishes there was a bicycle pic available here

At least I know now! No limbo land! So im on cd1 now! Which means that my cycles are longer than 28 days, prob more like 30.which means a longer second half, which is not necessarily a bad thing I guess! This cycle im going to approach differently too. Once af has done a runner we will be dtd every 3 days, and im only gonna keep a bit of an eye on my cm. Im not going to check my temp, and it's deffo going to be a opk free zone here!! Mid cycle we may fit in an extra dtd but we shall see, im going to take a more relaxed approach to this cycle with any luck bcos im only upsetting myself each time when af arrives late! I didnt have an intense headache with the beginning day of af like I have been having which is odd but perhaps my body had now rid itself of the evil pill?!? So today its shove a tampax up there day (so not doing towels this month, last month was murder doing that!!) And wait till af decides to b*gger off!!! Phewf! Sorry for the rant ladies, but do actually feel a lot better and slightly more positive in a sense!! How are we all? :0) x

stone its good that you have been able to talk to DH about it and that he responded well!! I hope that its your month next month too! 3month scan pic lady can just go do one (in a roundabout fashion of course!) Dont worry, you will most certainly get your turn to post a scan pic when the time is right for you. Try and see it as a non important pic, just like someone's random holiday snap or something (Dont forget you can hide topics on your time line too Wink .

What stage are you at in your cycle now?? sorry my memory is totally shot today!!! Big hugz :0)

abi I'm on cd 28 so AF is either arriving on Sunday (32 days cycle) or Sunday week (38 days cycle). I'll be a surprise I guess Hmm Grin

I am feeling really down, I am cd22 of a 30 day cycle have dtd every 2-3 days all month but I just have no hope at all that I will get that bfp. I am Sad and Angry 100% of the time and cannot seem to snap myself out of it.

Ugh I think I'm getting af symptoms I'm really grumpy have been since ovulationHmm and now I'm on munchy mode!

How can I get PMS straight after ovulation?!

abi so sorry AF arrived Hun - you sound fairly positive in her last message though and I think you are taking a good approach re no ovulation sticks etc - looking back as much as I found then useful I did become a bit obsessive!!

tallalime bless you Hun - it's really hard to keep your emotions in sometimes isn't it - TTC is such a hard roller coaster - I really hope you get your BFP soon.

Hope everyone else is okay and the waiting (whatever stage of your cycle I'm sure you are waiting for something) isn't too bad xxx

talla much as you feel like you want someone to slap you, I dont want to!!! I think a hug would be better deserved! You seem like you have dtd a good amount to give you the best chance of creating a sticky bean, dont give up hope till AF arrives! Perhaps the emotions running high are down to a possible good result at the end of your cycle?!

babyrose it aint over till the af witch arrives!!! Munchies and changes of mood can be a sign of pg too so hopefully thats the case! Keeping my pinkies crossed for you and all who are in that dreaded 2ww!

Thanks midge and mummy am trying to stay positive as I possibly can, being a nutjob on here is fine but it really started to pull me down, and I need to stay positive so yhat my chances increase to get a BFP at some point. My nutty moment started yesterday when af started and I looked at what the due date would be if I fell this cycle, and it turns out that I would be due on my niece's birthday ( I am hoping thats a good sign!!) Wink . I really do want to fall soon but I have to try and stay relaxed at the same time as that is when it is more likely to happen!! How are you both?

AF still heavy at the mo but its only the second day, am itching to get down to dtd ( which other half is most pleased about no doubt!) As then we are closer to the next stage of my cycle. Pma ladies pma!! We can do this! !!!!!! Smile

Oh babyrose dont give up hope just yet.Don't forget that our bodies have to go through a lot of altering to be able to create a safe environment for a sticky bean. And af feelings can be so similar to pg ones. Please don't feel down, its not over till af physically arrives and im keeping everthing crossed for you! ! Big hugz. And just to say the pressure crampy feeling is possibly a good sign so keep everything crossed!!! Keep us posted! ! :0)
