TTC #2 and turning into a nut job!

Ladies, bring me back down to Earth before it's too late! I'm TTC #2 and its only the 2nd cycle and I'm already doing my own head in not to mention my OH.....we're not the kind of couple to have regular sex when not TTC (much to my disappointment Sad) so it's a real effort for DS to, erm, pull his finger out as it were and DTD every other day. With DS1 I had no idea about CM and OPKs and just used an ovulation calendar for timing but this time round I'm in danger of falling into the OPK trap! I'm aware of my constant whittling and DH even said that he hopes I get pregnant this month so he doesn't have to listen to me begging for him to do it just one more time! Anyone in the same boat?

Mummy sorry to hear that, I hope you are OK. Try not to worry too much, spotting in pregnancy is fairly common. I had two big bleeds when I was pregnant with dd and she was fine - though I was totally freaked out obviously Confused

Fingers crossed the EPU will be able to reassure you xx

Attila Boo for AF, the horrid old witch, have some Wine sure the sun is over the yardarm somewhere Grin

mrscookie78 · 26/05/2013 13:31

Try not to worry re the spotting mummy, have heard it can be fairly common during pregnancy.

shame about af attila but new cycle and time to try again soon. Grin

what is everyone up to this weekend? Smile

AbiBub · 26/05/2013 17:44

Hey ladies

I did a really long post last night pressed post message and it said web page not available grrrrrrr so I promise I will get back on later and reply after the little one has gone to bed!!! :0)

AbiBub · 26/05/2013 23:53

Evening ladies!
mummy your scan sounds like it went like it should have. Im glad you are feeling more positive this time round, keep up that good positivity regardless of the spotting. I have heard that this is quite common in pregnancy. Im pretty sure before I found out I was pg with our ds that I had spotting and it was quite past the point of implantation and such like. Dont forget that our bods go through a lot of changes especially at the beginning. I hope that you manage to get in your earlier scan too. How are you feeling now?
attila and stone sorry to hear the af witch has arrived. So onwards and upwards to a new cycle then. Pma ladies, we will get there even if it does take a little longer eh! Whats your plan of actions now?

winter how are you feeling? 8 weeks today is it? Thanks lovely, I guess its pma to this cycle for sure!
mrscookie sounds like you're really doing a great job with managing and looking after your cycles and keeping pinkies crossed here for you!!
talla sounds like you are getting things moving with all your fertility stuffs and sounding so positive about it, how did the convo thing go with your DH ? Thats really interesting information about the sperm cycles and age etc I was thinking every 3days so do you think thats a good plan?! Glad you are feeling better relaxed about it all! Keep us posted about that and af?
bartbaby hope you're managing to keep yourself occupied ok? Sit on those hands for a little while longer!!!
gemmeg hellooooo how are you lovely? :0) how are you feeling?
babyrose how's your ds now ? Better I hope! Did he have a good birthday? How you feeling now, hopefully you are still feeling more positive! :0) hows all the packing going?anymore symptoms to note? I am keeping all pinkies crossed for you!:0)

So af nearly finished here for me and the plan is from tuesday that we will commence operation dtd!! Thinking every 3 days as my cervix cant take too much as it gets irritated due to cervical errosion, so have told OH they all have to be quickies! Gonna do it up till a week before af is due on that basis if I can! Just to make sure we are covering all bases! Hows everyone? Smile

StoneBaby · 27/05/2013 20:56

I'm well impressed with the dtd every 3 days. DH will never manage this rythm I already have difficult to dtd once a month and as a result my BFP hpes are pretty slim but it worked with DS so fx it'll work with #2 Hmm

So who POAS this weekend? Grin

muzzy2011 · 27/05/2013 21:08

I am with you babyrose going mad symptom spotting! I lost the plot today and did a test....5 days before AF due! So stupid....it was negative obviously and now I'm feeling blue :( and drinking wine! Must wait now until the weekend!

Tallalime · 27/05/2013 21:50

I am 12dpo, AF due on the 31st, I have all my normal AF symptoms Angry

Oh well, at least we have our fertility tests lined up for this month so something 'positive' to do when AF inevitably turns up as usual sigh

AbiBub · 27/05/2013 22:51

Hey all. How has your weekend been?

talla The fertility tests is a real positive step for sure, will you let us know how you get on? I am hoping that those normal af symptoms are in pretending mode and they are actually pg symptoms so still keeping my pinkies crossed for you!

stone if my OH had anything to do with it, it would be everyday!! But my cervix took a beating doing it every other day even when they were quickies last month, and it still didn't make a difference, so it just goes to show my environment needs to be right to catch the sticky bean!! I am hoping that you catch a sticky bean soon, regardless of how your dtd schedule is Grin

muzzy sit on those hands mrs!! and keeping my pinkies crossed for you and no af turning up Smile

So tomorrow sees the start of anther dtd schedule of every 3 days ladies!! eeeek, this is the fun bit! we are going to do that till the very last moment that we possible can too so there is less of a wait past ov, plus, I really don't know when I ov so probably best to just go for it and hope for the best!!

How's everyone getting on? Smile

Coolhand · 27/05/2013 23:28

(Waves sheepishly) can I join?

TTC #2 - no 1 is just coming up to 18 months. Got pregnant instantly first time but had a m/c. Left it a month after that and then got pregnant instantly again and Luke came along 9 months later.

Been ttc for #2 since December, so still early days but convince myself almost every 2ww that I'm pregnant, when I'm not. Had another negative test today. Just looking for a little company along the way. I'm 33, DH is 39.

Tallalime · 27/05/2013 23:56

Hi coolhand welcome to the nutters thread Grin Everyone here is lovely and it's great to have a place to offload curse AF and the unfairness of another month ttc

I am 33 too. My DD is 5 though... I did not have a good pregnancy and took me a while to brave the idea of another one... and DH another 2 years after that.

This is our 14th month ttc Sad and we've just got into the next stage with tests etc. Now just have to wait for AF, I think this may be the first month I wish it'd hurry up Wink

Ninunina · 28/05/2013 07:08

Hi ladies, I've been lurking for a while since I wasn't officially ttc yet, but I think I can officially say that I am now. Here we go. .. cycle 1 and entering the 2ww. I think I ovulated a day early on CD13, but will try to dtd tonight just in case I'm wrong. My friends in real life are all announcing pregnancies left right and centre. One found out she was having twins... how exciting. I can't wait to join the club. DD is 18 months so I think the age gap would be good if things happen quickly. .. but there is no guarantee of that is there? Last time round I conceived after a couple of months of trying, then had a mc and conceived again straight after (didn't wait for AFor anything). I've got a feeling it might take a little longer this time. .. Let's see! I'm only 1dpo already symptom spotting Blush
Anyone else entering the 2ww?

AbiBub · 28/05/2013 09:41

Morning ladies! Welcome newbies coolhand and ninunina we hope this thread helps you let off some nuttiness steam Wink

coolhand I think that we all do the same thing inthe 2ww!! What cd are you on? How are your cycles in general?

talla I also have taken my time on deciding to have 2nd dc much to everyone elses dismay that I didn't do it sooner! ! Because if course its everyone else that is pg and has the lovely labour!! So our ds is 4, but I look in the positive things like that we don't have to worry about toilet training whilst having a newborn etc its taken me all thus time to feel comfortable with the idea, I just knew I wouldn't cope very well if we had #2 beforenow! Also ds was a very painful back to back labour which has made me very nervous to do it again! !! nin canis for short? I know what you mean about pg being announced all around you, i think a lot of us are in the same boat! Not entering the 2ww yet but the dtd stage from tonight, every 3 days for me, and gonna go into the 2ww with continued dtd till I can't possibly di anymore! That way it keeos OH happy and the 2ww is less for me!! Keeping all pinkies crossed for you the wait goes quickly for you and that you get a BFP at tge end of it!

How are we today ladies? Smile

AbiBub · 28/05/2013 09:44

And typo's galore!! Sorry! Silly phone! :0/

mrscookie78 · 28/05/2013 13:50

All good here, no work this this week but am feeling a little bored this afternoon. So do you count you dpo on the day you get a strong line on an opk, the second day you get a line or the day after? I am refraining from googling what happens in the days past ovulation. we last dtd on Wednesday night and I had a strong opk line Thursday. We haven't done it since so im going with the theory that it's good to have sperm in there ready. but not if my ovulation happened after the lines as I only had the most tiny speck of ewcm on the Saturday? guess im just over analysing everything !! Smile

Ninunina · 28/05/2013 14:21

I'm officially a nutter abi... I'm feeling this pinching feeling inside on my right side just above my c section scar . Googled and sure enough its a symptom of implanation. I'm surely imagining it since it is too early for that. I always get ovulation pain after ovulation, and this feels different.. but maybe that's because I'm looking out for signs. I've got a feeling it's going to be a very long week. I didn't have as much time to torture myself last time since I was working like a maniac, but now that I'm a SAHM I might drive myself insane!

Coolhand · 28/05/2013 19:23

Thanks for welcomes - definitely appreciate the company!

Talla - I hope something happens soon for you this month, either way.

Mrscookie don't have any answers but glad to know someone else out there overanalyses these things!

AbiBub my cycles used to be 26 days on the button. With 1st baby, we dtd on day 12 of cycle and both times that worked - since both times I got pregnant straight away,, I didn't use opks or have sex day after day!

Since I came back off pill last year, cycles have never been quite the same. At the start, they were over 30 days apart and my symptoms were much worse. They've gradually worked their way back down - last month was only 24 days apart. I'm day 24 today. From memory, with first baby I POAS on day 23 and got positive result. Just waiting for AF now in next few days.

StoneBaby · 28/05/2013 19:48

Welcome to the newbies...

ninu Grin at your symptoms spotings and blaming your SAHM status

coolhand it's hard when your body plays up with the cycle length. Good luck

BartBaby · 28/05/2013 22:31

Hi ladies Smile

Ninu sounds like were in the same boat there! lol. Im currently 8dpo and have all of the 'symptoms' - very sore breasts, cramping, craving chocolate and other tasty things, occasional nausea. the list goes on! Although im not sore how much of it is in my imagination, and the rest could be a number of different things Hmm

Good luck with the dtd abi Wink

And sorry af has arrived for you attila and stone fx for for next month Flowers

How are things with you babyrose ?

Everyone else I hope you are all doing ok?

Im trying ever so hard not to give in to the urge to poas. Trying to hold out until friday or saturday at least. But we will see how things go!

Anyone else waiting to POAS? xx

babyrose · 29/05/2013 08:26

Hi everyone, ds got better for his b/day and had a great day! Packing is going ok just want to be in the new house!

Abi I'm not feeling positive at all I'm 11dpo and not had any cramping since the 5dpo. Had headaches the last few days and had sore boobs but that stopped on sun nite. Usually when they stop hurting I get af the next day but I'm not due til 31/1 so who knows! I'm glad your sounding better about things.I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Muzzy have u had any symptoms? How are you feeling?

Hi to everyone new!

muzzy2011 · 29/05/2013 12:58

Sorry to hear you aren't positive babyrose....I'm not either and have no symptoms at all! With DD I had really sore boobs 8dpo but nothing at all at the moment and I'm about 11dpo now. I don't normally get any AF symptoms before it arrives so none of those either....just waiting waiting waiting!
Fingers crossed for us and everyone else.

babyrose · 29/05/2013 16:47

Muzzy I know what you mean about waiting, I think af will be here soon if not then I will test on Fri just to be sure!

Fingers crossed for everyone!

Ninunina · 29/05/2013 17:21

Hope AF doesn't show for you babyrose and muzzy! You might be lucky enough to have a symptomless pregnancy this time.

I think my body is playing a cruel joke on me and I have a slight bug. I've been feeling quite ill all day... it feels very much like morning sickness but it is way too early for that!

Tallalime · 29/05/2013 17:41

AF is pretty much here for me, have had cramps all day. Wish she would bloody hurry up now I am tired of waiting...

Mummytothearkbuilder · 29/05/2013 18:36

Hi ladies - thought I would check in and say hello to you all and see how you all are.

I see some of you are on the 2ww - fingers crossed for you all!!

Massive hugs to you all! Xxx

StoneBaby · 29/05/2013 20:13
