TTC #2 and turning into a nut job!

Ladies, bring me back down to Earth before it's too late! I'm TTC #2 and its only the 2nd cycle and I'm already doing my own head in not to mention my OH.....we're not the kind of couple to have regular sex when not TTC (much to my disappointment Sad) so it's a real effort for DS to, erm, pull his finger out as it were and DTD every other day. With DS1 I had no idea about CM and OPKs and just used an ovulation calendar for timing but this time round I'm in danger of falling into the OPK trap! I'm aware of my constant whittling and DH even said that he hopes I get pregnant this month so he doesn't have to listen to me begging for him to do it just one more time! Anyone in the same boat?

Welcome mrscookie! I also have irreg cycles but then I've been BFing and still do so a couple of times a day so I expect it really. I suppose it takes time for the body to find its rhythm. Good luck.

extracrunchy hello and congrats! It's weird how the body works like that isn't it? I would love to be able to do it like that but as I mentioned in my OP we just don't DTD enough throughout the month for it to happen spontaneously but thankfully I've managed to stay quite chilled this month and when we did DTD it was still good funSmile

So, I've been feeling like crap this morning....woke up with proper vertigo. Was walking at a tilt and felt so dizzy I thought I'd throw up. Also have a bit of a sore throat. Had a nap and left DH to deal with DS and dizziness went away, thank god. Really don't want to be coming down with something Sad.

Thanks Abi - I guess it was a long shot at 12dpo it's just so crap seeing the negative result. The back ache I had at 8dpo onwards has stopped today which is odd but I guess I can't control what the outcome will be - I've done all I can - that's what is so hard, as a self confessed control freak knowing there is nothing I can do drives me mad!! I am definetly going back to the drs this month if there is no BFP.

Hope you guys are having a good Sunday - is anyone up to anything exciting? Xxx

extracrunchy · 28/04/2013 23:54

Tested this morning - one day late, but thought was probably a funny cycle as have had a crappy month, then woke up feeling like I might barf so thought why not...
I had very little nausea with DS but have felt queasy pretty much constantly the last few days. Wonder it's significant!

Loanna · 29/04/2013 10:01

Hi Ladies

Haven’t posted on here for a while mainly because I am at a complete standstill! I have however been checking in everyday. Congratulations to all the BFPs!
Starting to get very frustrated now so would really appreciate some advice if possible. I came off the pill 14th March, started TTC straight away. AF due 15th April but it did not turn up and BFN. Instead of AF I had lots of EWCM over two days on the 15th & 16th April so DTD as much as poss just in case. Tested yesterday BFN! I am completely lost at the moment, I can’t chart as have no idea if I have ovulated or where I am. I know I should stop worrying as it can take a while for your body to re-adjust after the pill but being a nutter its driving me mad. I am checking cm everyday for signs, but nothing! I’ve never wanted AF to turn up so much!Angry

DesparateHousewife83 · 29/04/2013 13:45

Girls you have all been my lucky charm! I only joined you on Thursday, and after so many negative tests this month the Clear Blue Digital gave me BFP on Saturday morning! I was totally not expecting it! Only just starting to feel any symptoms now and I'm 5 weeks today!

I feel very blessed to be having a second, and want to wish you all the luck in the world for your BFP's! It's thread is very lucky indeed xxxxxxx

Mummytothearkbuilder · 29/04/2013 14:53

Loanna - I feel for you Hun, its horrible being in limbo land.

Desperate - check you out!! That's got to be a record from joining the thread to BFP - massive congratulations!! Xxxx

muzzy2011 · 29/04/2013 15:02

Can I join please! I swore I would not turn into a nutjob like I did the first time but am already descending into the depths of sympton spotting obsession and daily testing before AF even due and it's only our first month of trying! AF due tomorrow and I've just tested again...if I squint through one eye I am sure I can see a faint line....it's so faint I'm sure it doesn't actually exist!
I really thought I would be more relaxed the second time round....!
Good luck everyone.

mrscookie78 · 29/04/2013 19:46

Congratulations desperate!

im the same crunchy, have felt sick all day. think its stress or I may have ibs?

I a poas today and bfn.i need to s
de stress and wait for af Grin

gemmeg · 29/04/2013 20:11

Evening all!

Congratulations desperate! Let's hope your good luck rubs off on the rest of us.

Welcome muzzy. I hope that line gets darker for you Smile.

loanna it's funny isn't it...we spend all our lives whilst TTC either desperately hoping AF arrives or stays away depending on where we are in our cycles! I hope AF arrives for you soon so you can start a new cycle of tracking. I'm sorry I can't be more help with advice. It's as you said, it can just take a little while for the body to adjust. It is frustrating being at the mercy of our bodies.

I'm now 10dpo. Not sure if my LP has lengthened due to reduced BF as ov came earlier so not sure when to test....will give it a few more days. Still feeling unwell with a sore throat but have no pg symptoms (except backache but I think this is from sleeping funny).

OP posts:
Mummytothearkbuilder · 29/04/2013 20:25

Gemmeg I'm exactly the same - I'm due on on Wednesday (at the latest) and the only symptom I have of anything is back ache however we have a rubbish mattress so think it could be that!! New being delivered on Saturday thank goodness!

I had a LP of 10days last cycle and this time it's lengthened which has to be a good thing.........right????

Welcome muzzy - fingers crossed that faint line gets darker for you - keep us posted.

Xxx

muzzy2011 · 29/04/2013 21:45

Thanks for the welcome...hope your backaches are not down to dodgy beds!
Well since the first test with the non existent line I drank a load of water and then ridiculously did the second test! Of course there was no line at all as it was completely diluted so I'm back staring at the first test convincing myself there is a line....I seriously need help!

chocoloulou33 · 29/04/2013 22:06

Hello all. Only posted on here couple of times & had a bit of a mumsnet break this last month as got myself so down when af came. So after that me & OH decided to throw the opk's out. No more stressing, just been getting on with everyday life & js'ing whenever the mood took us which wasn't loads this month tbh lol. Anyway I did a ic test this morning & got a faint line. Am testing again in morning so keep your fingers crossed for me xx

chocoloulou33 · 29/04/2013 22:07

Btw am on cycle 8 & have dd who is 5 x

2beornot · 29/04/2013 22:36

Hi ladies!!

Just checking in to see how everyone's doing. Glad to see there's been a couple of BFPs!!!! Fingers crossed for those waiting and just waiting. I know how agonising it is - time just seems to stand still!!

As hard as it seems, we have all done it before and we can do it again. Good luck ladies x x x

Mummytothearkbuilder · 30/04/2013 10:23

Morning ladies

Choco and muzzy - did your lines get darker?? Good luck both of you xx

Is back ache an early pregnancy sign then?? I didn't have it with DS so when it started this month I assumed AF was on her way - AF due tomorrow and other than back ache and loads of white cm (sorry for tmi) and feel fine - what is happening!?!? Xx

gemmeg · 30/04/2013 10:53

I'd also like to know if there are any more BFPs today!!

It's as I predicted....11 dpo and I'm getting twitchy! Still no symptoms (except for the imaginary kind!). I don't normally get any AF symptoms until it actually arrives then I get bad cramps. No backache today but still under the weather with my throat and glands are up. It's made worse by not knowing when to test. If I'm honest with myself I think I'm out this month but I know it ain't over til AF arrives (that should be this thread's mantra!). How you coping with the waiting mummy?

OP posts:
winterpansy · 30/04/2013 10:58

Congrats desperate!

Mummy I had really bad backache before getting the bfp last week. I rarely have it but just thought I'd been sleeping funny or something (sometimes DS joins us and sleeps across my head!) but now I think it must have been related. It's got a lot better over the past few days though. Oh, I am so keeping everything crossed that a BFP will be yours tomorrow!

Nothing much to report with me. Still not many symptoms so am worried that something is wrong but tests keep still showing bfps so I just have to wait it out! Had a total panic on Sat night after googling miscarriage for hours but did my last cb and it came up 2-3 weeks so I'm heading the right direction anyway. Trying not to get too excited (between the waves of panic) but DH is beaming from ear to ear all day long!

abi Did you get the wee parcel yet?

Mummytothearkbuilder · 30/04/2013 11:18

Gemmeg - I am trying to be really calm with the waiting but it isn't working - I am such a control freak I just need to know either way!!

Winter - thanks for the comments about your back ache - our mattress is rubbish so don't think that helps with the back ache but I am also getting funny pulling pains in my lower tummy / ovary area??? (New mattress being delivered on Saturday)

I am going to test tomorrow with fmu but I am expecting a bfn - when I was pregnant with DS it didn't show up positive until I was about 6 weeks pregnant. Xx

Mummytothearkbuilder · 30/04/2013 11:24

Winter - meant to say that when pregnant with DS I had virtually no symptoms until week 10 when I had some morning sickness which last only a couple of weeks - I was convinced something was wrong but it was all completely fine xxx

chocoloulou33 · 30/04/2013 11:44

Yes my line was darker :) am so happy. My early symptoms are backache & sore boobs x

Mummytothearkbuilder · 30/04/2013 11:50

Congrats choco - fab news xxx

AbiBub · 30/04/2013 12:42

Morning Ladies!! :0)

How are we all feeling today? 2be! hello! how are you feeling?

So there have ladies joining and getting BFP's and I have missed half of them!!

Welcome choco and congratulations!!. Smile. Welcome muzzy and hoping your line gets darker!! Welcome Loanna hoping your AF turns up so you can start a new cycle!!

gemmeg, extra and mrscookie how are you all going? any more signs or af turn up?

mummy - hope you don't have to wait much longer, and hope that the BFP is on the cards for you this time, will you let us know how ya getting on? :0) keeping all pinkies crossed! That pulling down feeling sounds familiar!!

desparate Congratulations!!! I had a funny feeling you would be, awesome stuff!! How are you feeling?

last but by no means least....winter. How are you feeling? Yes I received the wee parcel tries not to giggle at the play on words. Thank you so much, they came through yesterday!! I have never used them before, but managed to print off the instructions. I also went on the CB website for rough ov dates and used my normal 28cd as obv last month didn't count being a chem pg and all, and they said to start testing 1st may (thats tomorrow!!!). You cant buy the strips separately can you!!?? unless anyone can see where you can? So I am trying not to go mental with the four I have there, last night I got what felt like ov pains for it being on the way, so did a test this morning, also just to make sure im doing it right, and managed to do it ok, no smilie yet but wasn't expecting it! My OH and I dtd for fun sunday night, just so he doesn't feel used for all the quickies I am gonna try and squeeze in!! I was gonna plan to dtd tonight, but I am so bloomin' knackered bcos I stayed up late last night working, and feel better to get an earlier night knowing that I didn't get a smilie!! (those opk's could be more addictive than pg tests couldn't they!! but gonna be a good girl!!) advice pwease Shall I be doing another ov test tomorrow like CB have suggested or wait a little longer?? abi has no clue

Best shoot off as totally boring you now no doubt!! Have a wonderful day ladies Grin.

muzzy2011 · 30/04/2013 14:23

Congrats choco! That's great news.

I tested again this morning...not sure even I can convince myself there was any sort of a line there! I did a boots one for the first time though, anyone know if they are any good?
AF due today so should just wait a few days really but with DD I got a BFP 2 days before AF due so was hoping for the same!
Good luck mummy and gemmeg!

Mummytothearkbuilder · 30/04/2013 15:06

Silly me - started to get my hopes up and AF has just arrived :-(

Onwards to the next cycle now x

gemmeg · 30/04/2013 15:59

Sorry about that mummy but as you said it's onwards and upwards to the next cycle. Which cycle are you on btw?

Congratulations choco!

Fingers crossed for you muzzy
