TTC #2 and turning into a nut job!

Ladies, bring me back down to Earth before it's too late! I'm TTC #2 and its only the 2nd cycle and I'm already doing my own head in not to mention my OH.....we're not the kind of couple to have regular sex when not TTC (much to my disappointment Sad) so it's a real effort for DS to, erm, pull his finger out as it were and DTD every other day. With DS1 I had no idea about CM and OPKs and just used an ovulation calendar for timing but this time round I'm in danger of falling into the OPK trap! I'm aware of my constant whittling and DH even said that he hopes I get pregnant this month so he doesn't have to listen to me begging for him to do it just one more time! Anyone in the same boat?

Bless you squiggly - could it be implanting - just thinking about winter earlier this week.

I am currently 10dpo and last cycle AF arrived at 10dpo and I was worried about a short luteal phase so if I make it past 10dpo and AF arrives at least a positive is a longer luteal phase - obviously I hope she doesn't arrive and I get a BFP but the back ache and headache tell me not to get my hopes up! X

winterpansy · 26/04/2013 13:40

Don't give up ladies!
Until it's there in force there is still a chance. As you say, what happened to me earlier in the week could happen to you. I was totally convinced af was here. I've everything (including my eyes) crossed for you x

AbiBub · 26/04/2013 13:44

winter thank you very much that would be wonderful, are you sure you don't mind? How do you want me to send address? Thank you so much. I hope that this pregnancy is kinda to you by the way off feeling ill, and that the gestational diabilities doesn't creep back in! Make sure you get pleanty of rest where you can! hugz Smile.

squiggly I am keeping all pinkies crossed here that it's just spotting and no naughty af this time.Keep us updated? I only have a in ear thermometer, they say not to use them, but I am actually quite tempted to use that this month....

mummy all pinkies crossed for you here too!! Keep us updated and hopefully AF wont turn up, but even if it does, I am hoping that you LP is getting longer :0)

How are we today ladies? Grin

winterpansy · 26/04/2013 13:50

No problem at all abi I'll send you a private message and we can get something sorted out x

Mummytothearkbuilder · 26/04/2013 13:54

Thanks Abi - one minute I'm convinced AF has showed up and dash off to the loo and the next I'm thinking maybe its worked this month - I hate this bit of the cycle!! It's the back ache that is making me think it hasn't worked - the last few days it has been awful!! Xx

AbiBub · 26/04/2013 13:59

winter wonderful stuff, thank you!! :0)

mummy eeeek, I hate that part of the cycle too, well still keeping pinkies crossed here, don't want to get your hopes up but when I fell pg with our DS I had backache (I blamed it on the camping at the time as didn't know I was pg then!!). It's not over till the AF sings!!

xx

DesparateHousewife83 · 26/04/2013 14:07

H Ladies,
I wondered if I could join your read please? I have turned into a total nut trying to conceive baby No.2! It's only our 2nd month of trying and we have been at it like rabbits (!!!) but so far, Narda. I have poas so many times because I am the most impatient person ever, knowing full well it might be too early to test. My AF was due on Weds and since then no AF and no BFP either :(
The wait is killing me- I want to know one way or other....! Daring the wait with you guys would certainly make it easier! Who is due to test next?
Xxx

Mummytothearkbuilder · 26/04/2013 14:27

Thanks abi - we do need to buy a new mattress (not from all the DTD - it's just old!!) so wondered whether the back ache might be from that however I may be clutching at straws.

I am creating mini projects to try and keep my mind off things - I'm going to start the couch to 5k again to help with the weight loss - I did start at the beginning of the year but stopped when I found out I was pregnant - since the miscarriage I haven't bothered so I'm dusting off the trainers this weekend!!

Welcome to the nuthouse Desperate - you will find lots of support on here and good luck!! Xx

DesparateHousewife83 · 26/04/2013 14:40

Thanks Mummy!
Mini projects are so the way forward- I have started painting our furniture shabby chic! If its wood, it's getting painted. My poor suffering husband...
Xxx

AbiBub · 26/04/2013 17:07

Welcome desparateH ! That last post made me chuckle!!

mummy im hoping for you its not the mattress Wink . Creating projects sounds like a good idea for sure!! :0)

So ladies whats your plans for the weekend? [Smile]

gemmeg · 26/04/2013 19:25

Hi desperate Smile. Are you usually regular? I'll keep my fingers crossed that AF doesn't show up. I'm currently 6dpo but my AF has been irregular due to bf (which I've dropped own to 1-2 times a day) so I'm not really sure when to test. Ov came earlier than expected this month just to confuse things even more Confused.

abi I shall enjoy a relaxed morning at home before heading into Vienna with DH and DS to meet an old school friend DH knew from primary school who's over on holiday. It's mega warm here, been 28 degrees today, so it'll be nice to enjoy a bit of food and maybe a cheeky white wine spritzer in the sun Smile

Mummytothearkbuilder · 26/04/2013 19:42

Gemmeg - your Saturday sounds lush - mine will be standing at the side of a football pitch while DS plays (as he is ony 4 its not a long match!!) and then dragging DS and DH round Tesco AND its not even sunny anymore!! :-(

Xx

DesparateHousewife83 · 26/04/2013 20:33

Hi Gemmeg, your weekend sounds amazing!

Mummy- enjoy the football and tesco run! doing that with one 2 yr old is bad enough for me!! My weekend will not be quite as glamourus as Gemmeg's I'm afraid... entertaining my toddler and explaining why I'm not drinking (just in case, ever hopeful!!) at a couple of birthday parties.

I'm 16dpo now, I only came off the pill in feb so have only had one 'natural AF' last month 25th March was first day. I'm using the What to expect fertility tracker app. I used one last time for my DD and it worked like a charm first time. It's last 2 weeks have been sooooo drawn out waiting for now to test, and now the time has come neither AF or a BfP have arrived! Boo! I keep thinking I have another symptom- I even had a weird experience with my boobs which cringes me out to write.... But is it normal to be able to squeeze milk from nip after no BF for 2 yrs?! It's happened to me the other eve- they looked like it was about to come out... Anyway I don't know if this is a sign or if its my strange body winding me up!!

Sorry far too long a post... Bored you all,

Xxxx

AbiBub · 27/04/2013 01:06

desparateH not at all are you boring us!! Thats what this thread is for!! I had a frustrating time of it recently so know what you are going through. I came off the pill mid Jan, so again not that long off the pill. Thats interesting what you have got there with the milk thing. Things point to you possibly being pg but wouldn't want to get hopes up just yet. I guess the only thing you can do is keep testing at certain intervals if your af doesn't arrive, I know it's frustrating so hugs being sent to you Smile.

gemmeg that sounds like a bliss weekend ahead, I hope you have a wonderful one. Grin.

mummy the things we do huh, well its still sounds fabby what you have planned, minus the tesco shop of course, but you have my sympathies as I have to go shopping this weekend too Grin.

Keep nodding off here!! Hope you all sleep well Smile.

Squigglypig · 27/04/2013 05:18

AF is in the building. So here we go again. I have a GP appt this Weds to ask about spotting so hoping that she doesn't fob me off. I'm 36 now and my daughter is 2.5 and I just want my body to get on with it. I'm meeting a friend with a newborn today and will be trying not to steal it.

AbiBub · 27/04/2013 10:07

Ahhh sorry to hear af has arrived squiggle. At least its a new cycle and also that means that its the 2nd true af after coming off the pill which is good from the point of your body setting itself back to being au natural! I think sometimes after coming off pill you can get random spotting so it may just be that. I have had that before! Let us know how you get on at docs? I hope you have a good time seeing your friend today Smile .

Mummytothearkbuilder · 27/04/2013 10:15

Ah sorry squiggly - I think I will be joining you soon :-( if AF arrives I plan of drinking and eating plenty of nice things!! My brother won a years supply of Millie's cookies and has given it to me - bad for the diet but good for easing the pain of AF!!

Let us know know you get on at the doctors - I am planning on going at the end of May - I am going armed with info as I'm determined not to be fobbed off!!

Just about to go pitch side to watch DS and its just started raining!!

Hope you all have great Saturdays - big hugs xx

winterpansy · 27/04/2013 12:50

Aww, sorry the evil af has arrived for some of you. Drink some wine and eat some chocolate!

Such a lovely day today, once DS is up from lunch we will take him into town as there is lots of free stuff on for kids. Going to another free festival tomorrow about 30 mins away with some friends and their dc. I love free stuff!

So, I'm officially 4 weeks pg today. I think time will drag for quite a few weeks now!

mrscookie78 · 27/04/2013 19:20

can I join in too?, I'm trying for number 2 and am waiting for my second natural af to turn up, hopefully tomorrow if I'm on a 34 day cycle like my first one. its so odd as I used to be 28 days before my ds. has anyone else had different cycles after their pregnancies? congrats to the ladies who have bfp's and good luck for next month for the ladies who are still waiting for bfp and sticky beans. I said to myself I wasn't going to obsess over trying this time, but have been Googling every sign and symptom. I last did a poas last Wednesday and was a bfn. oh well, let's see what happens tomorrow. Smile

Mummytothearkbuilder · 27/04/2013 19:45

Welcome MrsCookie!! This is a fab thread - I literally would have chewed DH's ear off if it wasn't for this thread!!

Glad you are having a great day and feeling great winter - 4 weeks pregnant is so exciting!! I too love anything free, so mucho jealous of your free festival!!

DS had a brilliant football match - he was in goal and saved 2 goals not bad for a 4 year old. There were so many babies there though (siblings of the players not playing themselves!!) and DS asked all the way home when he would be getting a brother or sister and then asked if we could get one from Tesco - if only it's that easy!! Xx

AbiBub · 28/04/2013 00:59

Welcome mrscookie ! I hope you are well, and do let us know if your af turns up or not!? Yep my cycles have gone slightly haywire since we had our DS, very odd how sooo much changes after kiddlywinks. I now cant spin around in circles (so playing dizzyland with our son is out for me then!!) . Smile

mummy helloooo!! Well I'm hoping that your af doesn't turn up, so keep us posted! Awwww bless your DS that is insanely cute! And well done him on the goal saving, very impressive!! :0)

winter - 4 weeks Grin I am soooo excited for you still :0) I love free stuff too!! I hope you have a wonderful time at the festival! Smile.

AF is trying it's hardest to cling on, it's right at the tail end, and starting to annoy me now!! it's not even doing much all the time just random 'oh, we haven't finished yet' type spotting now, silly af!!

Very sleepy now, and tesco shop is complete thank goodness! :0)

extracrunchy · 28/04/2013 07:08

Hello everyone! We were trying for number 2 last year and just went mental. So stressful, completely took the fun out of sex, was charting, tracking, Clearblue testing, you name it.
After 10 months of this we decided to give it a break as the strain was starting to show. Put the Clearblue on the shelf, did nothing for a while, then gradually felt like doing it again, just for fun.
GUESS WHAT I JUST DISCOVERED THIS MORNING!!!

mrscookie78 · 28/04/2013 09:17

thanks, yes will do. I used these threads for my 1st child and found them great.
ooh, bfp?
im off shopping, have a good day and enjoy the sunshine if you have some? Smile Smile

Mummytothearkbuilder · 28/04/2013 09:44

Silly mummytothearkbuilder - I POAS this morning and bfn - don't know why I bothered - 2days at least until AF due and didn't even use FMU - I feel like this is turning out to be strange mixed up cycle which will go on forever (I have had a cycle of 65 days before) - just when I thought I was getting into some kind of rhythm with them - why is this so STRESSFUL!!!!!

Xx

AbiBub · 28/04/2013 12:09

Oh mummy I really do feel for you Sad . Im still keeping all my pinkies crossed for you. Perhaps wait until ad is due and try then with fmu. I know its tough going but try and relax a little maybe even dtd just for fun Grin . I gave up stressing after a week past when af was due and dtd and whilst af/chem pg showed up the next day at least I knew, plus OH must have unblocked me (pardon the wording) on something that wasnt going to result in a sticky bean anyway. Whilst I was sad to start off with I feel relieved now that I know and get on with this new cycle!! I hope that helps? Big hugz to you. [Smile].

extracrunchy hello! Trying can be a stressful time for sure, its good that you decided to chill out and relax a bit, thats how me and OH managed to fall pg with our DS Smile so did you get a BFP this morning or did you just rediscover the test? Hows it going with you? :0)

Hello ladies how are we this morning? [Smile]
