Don't worry choc, there's no hope left here! Just waiting for af.

This TTC puts a whole new slant on patience doesn't it?!

Thundercatsarego · 22/01/2013 20:48

Ps you're dead right, pink, send the wine over?

BelissimaLol · 22/01/2013 21:20

Hi girls
I've been off MN for the last few days in the vain hope of not stressing before the scan! Ha!
Anyway. Had the scan today and all is good with bubs GrinGrin
Can't tell you how relieved I am!
Very intrigued with dates though. Been told I'm 13 weeks when I should have been 11/6. That's an extra 8 days!!! How is that possible?
Anyway. Hope you are all well. Haven't read back to see what I've missed..

IBelieveInPink · 22/01/2013 21:54

YAY! lol that's fab news! And lovely to hear back! Congrats, so pleased for you. How exciting, Now you can relax a bit.
Yay to happy news. That has cheered me up a bit!

ArkadyRose · 22/01/2013 21:56

OH and I were doing some serious talking about finances last night. I'm currently on ESA but it runs out at the end of April, at which point our income drops by over $400 a month. At which point I have to come up with an alternative source of income. If I can't find something I can do from home then that's it - realistically we cannot afford another child. Sad

Thundercatsarego · 23/01/2013 09:35

Grin Grin lol, really so so chuffed for you x

ark ouch, that sounds like a really difficult conversation and decision. Sorry- what is ESA and do you have any ideas as to upping your income? How many children do you have?

BettyFlutterbly · 23/01/2013 11:40

Hi girls.
I don't think I've left a comment since before xmas.
I've had a month or two of total panic and am still a week away from my scan when I'll be 12+1.
I hope you're all well and there've been lots of bfps that I've missed.
Sending lots of baby dust and hope 2013 is a lucky number for us all! X

Hey hey. 2dpo (I think. I am having a no-charting cycle because it was stressing me out) and back in the 2ww again, hoping 4th time is a charm.

I have a nasty feeling work is going to mean OH is away around O for the next TWO cycles, so I damn well hope it works this go around. (doubles up on the Vit B)

I am pretty sure, btw, that the grapefruit helped with fertile mucus, which is something I haven't had much of since the MC - I will just say that this cycle was noticeably improved and leave the oversharing there.

Hope everybody's doing ok. I have a hangover (work pub quiz last night...) and I need a nap. And a cheeseburger.

ArkadyRose · 23/01/2013 12:39

Thundercats ESA is Employment Support Allowance - it was brought in to replace Incapacity Benefit. My NI contributions run out at the end of April, so my ESA will be stopped then. I have 3 children, all girls, but the eldest 2 are 18 & 20 (from my first marriage; their dad died 6 years ago). Youngest is 5. OH and I really wanted DD3 to have a little sibling, as she's effectively been raised an only child, and she's been begging for one so much. We didn't think it would be so hard to have another, as I fell pregnant with her pretty much straight away, but things just haven't been working out for us.

I'm trying to see if I can turn my art into an income, as it's something I can do at home. I've got a Cafepress shop, but no-one's bought anything. A friend is getting into organising craft fairs, but I just don't have the capital to get prints made of my work and t-shirts and things. I'm thinking of inquiring about the government's New Enterprise initiative, but basically if it doesn't work then we really can't afford another child and it would be irresponsible of us to be TTC until I get this sorted out. Sad

Thundercatsarego · 23/01/2013 13:00

Oh yes, sorry ark my memory isn't good, but I remember your story now. Sounds like a great idea to look into the new enterprise initiative- presumably this would give you the capital to make some of those things to sell?

The idea of creating and selling sounds absolutely fantastic, but also something that would need a lot of your energy to get it going- are you feeling up to it? I'm not trying to be negative, just thinking about the realities. There are of course also opportunities to earn by the hour working from home. For example if you can type, I know there are companies that take people on remotely to audio type for them. Might be worth also looking into these sorts of opportunities? Of course try the art one too- can you go on a bit of a shameless self-promotion bender and share your Cafepress shop further afield? I'd like to see it!

coffee, sending you positive conception vibes! And good to hear from you betty, fx for a fantastic scan!

Bakingtins · 23/01/2013 13:44

Hi Lol great news about your scan! Betty hope you are posting an equally positive update in a week or so.
Sally sounds like you are a cycle buddy with me and Pink would be great if we got a trio of BFPs in a couple of weeks!

IBelieveInPink · 23/01/2013 14:52

3dpo is too early to poas. Even an Internet cheapy. Stay away from the sticks.

Thundercatsarego · 23/01/2013 15:26

come over here a min, pink

IBelieveInPink · 23/01/2013 15:31

I know I know!!! I'm a mentalist and I deserve all the fish slapping there is!!! But I can't help it. I'm broken :(

How's you thunder? Any sign of af?

Thundercatsarego · 23/01/2013 15:34

You're not broken, you've got wind. Or is it that you think too much. I know it's something more succinct than I'd normally say Wink.

I'm ok but no, no sign. Day 33 and counting.... Come on the witch!

IBelieveInPink · 23/01/2013 15:41

Seriously! She is properly taking the mickey piss now!
That's not fair on you at all. How mean.
I wonder if there is anything you can do to bring it on? Maybe jumping around a bit? Ooh ooh I know, plan to wear white trousers. That is usually guaranteed!

Thundercatsarego · 23/01/2013 15:59

Oh yeah that's a good idea. Wear white trousers to a meeting?! That should definitely work. Think I might take the humiliation just to get this sorted!

How are you doing apart from making yourself go mad thinking about poas?

IBelieveInPink · 23/01/2013 16:06

Um, in all honesty, I actually do think I have lost the plot. Joking aside, I actually think I am so desperate to get pg again quick, my body is literally inventing the symptoms I would expect to see. Apart from I am not looking for them, I just notice them, then think how weird it is, then realise it is what I would expect for a pg. but is not physically possible, so must be mental.

Other than this, I'm finding it hard to get over the fact that I feel like I am just waiting for another mc. They won't help me until 3, and I cannot believe that 2 is just bad luck, so am actually just waiting for another one just so I can get someone to help me. Which is the most depressing thing ever. And not really dealing with that so well.

Ooh sorry. That turned into a bit of a rant didn't it. Will go back to rocking in the corner now.....

GardenWorm · 23/01/2013 16:13

thunder just psyching up for humpathon as opposed to actual humpation. Oh and light trousers did the AF for me, give it a go...or swimming? Clearing a pool could fall in the total humiliation box?!

lol I don't think I've had the pleasure of your mumsnet ttc company - but that is wonderful news!!!

GardenWorm · 23/01/2013 16:17

ibip if you're mental so am - could have written your post myself. Is that good or bad? Not entirely sue but at least you're not alone. Let's be mentalists together?

IBelieveInPink · 23/01/2013 16:21

Yay, mentalist gardenworm. Please come join me rocking in the corner. I still have Lindt chocs to share.....

Thundercatsarego · 23/01/2013 16:30

Oh pink I really understand what you mean about waiting for it to go wrong, and that's not cool at all. The last two times it happened very differently, at different times eh? So no reason at all they'd be linked. Theres as much chance that they are bad luck as not, so you're weighting that wrongly.

Also, you've had 2 pretty quick bfps- so could this be just what your body does at this stage in your cycle? Did you get these symptoms this early in either of the last two times?

IBelieveInPink · 23/01/2013 17:28

Kind of different but also not. First one at 8 weeks, but stopped growing at 5. Second one just mc at 5. So maybe it's 5 weeks I have an issue with?! Just my body realised it the second time?

Yeah, def quick bfps I know I am lucky there. I don't remember seeig symptoms this early before, but then I didn't know what to expect. The first time, I thought for sure I wasn't pg. second time, I had a definite feeling that I was. But not this early!

I know it not medically possible to have symptoms this early so I am just resigned to being mental. S'okay, I gonna be one of those funny crazy people that everyone laughs at :)

Thundercatsarego · 23/01/2013 18:02

I don't think you're mental- I think your body is! You're not making stuff, your body is all over the bloody place. I'm not going to laugh at you today but I will nick a bit of that chocolate and join you in the corner.
