Happy new thread! Here's hoping for lots of Christmas and new year bfp's, and long healthy pregnancies for everyone. Smile

It didn't work out. So that me out for another month Sad

Sorry things are tough for you too janie

Hi grotbagz

I'll come back again when I'm able to be a bit more positive x

Bakingtins · 06/02/2013 07:45

3 spanish and grotbagz hello. Sorry you find yourselves here, but you are v welcome. I hope (in the nicest possible way) your stay is a short one.

thunder hope MrT did his duty so at least you are in the running!

ibip happy anniversary!

grot you are making me feel fat as I'm the same height and 2 stone heavier. I have a healthy BMI and am average build so you must be pretty skinny. I would think it might impact your fertility but would think it's more likely to affect if you ovulate rather than stop you holding on to a baby. Worth investigating more though. If you are influenced by the creme egg munchers on the thread may not be a problem for long anyway!

Bakingtins · 06/02/2013 07:46

Sorry thunder missed your post. Ignore me.

JanieLovesHerThreeLeggedCat · 06/02/2013 08:07

Aw thunder I'm so sorry :( that's really crap. I really feel for you xxxx

chocolateteabag · 06/02/2013 08:25

Oh FFS! I'm only 10 DPO so why has AF surprised me this morning??

It is too heavy to be implantation bleeding (went through a super tampon in hour from getting up to arriving in work).

Remember how I may have mentioned that MOTHER NATURE IS A FUCKING BITCH!!!!!

She clearly heard me talking about her the bitch

JanieLovesHerThreeLeggedCat · 06/02/2013 08:39

Oh god dammit chocolate :( she really is one big ho. Grrrrrr

So should we just write this week off then or is anyone still got fx???

Zeuxippe · 06/02/2013 10:33

Hello can I join please? Had an mc last week and I think the bleeding finally stopped yesterday.

I was 6 weeks. We conceived first cycle of ttc and I was really happy as desperate to conceive before my 40th birthday, having read all the stats about age and mc. Then I sadly started to miscarry the day after my birthday, so very sad.

Sorry to read other people's sad stories but equally am inspired by your hope for the future and sense of humour!

Good luck to anyone testing soon

grotbagz · 06/02/2013 11:18

Thanks for the welcome everyone!

bakingtins that isn't fat at all, I just happen to be extremely small, my mums the same - I'm not particularly skinny which is the odd thing - I have a bum and boobs (Latina blood perhaps) but I am just like a sort of scaled down version of a normal human - I'm not even sure how I am that weight because I've seen people the same weight and height who look really skinny, maybe it's the boobs and bum???

Some of my friends are around the same as you and I envy their bodies so hopefully ill be scoffing chocolate and generating some cushion for the pushin in no time! My partner says he is going to take lots of pictures when we get pregnant because be thinks I'm going to look like a Ribena berry Hmm charming.

I will definitely speak to my doctor though!

So sorry to everyone who didn't get the result they were after, hope Mother Nature gets a good telling off and sorts her act out sharpish, good luck anyone else still to test!

IBelieveInPink · 06/02/2013 12:38

Right, I think we have firmly established that this cycle is shitty for everyone. So, why don't we all drink gallons of wine and eat our body weight, (or a larger friends if you happen to be lucky and super teeny) in cream eggs. This will get us through the (roughly) 2 weeks (perhaps longer in some cases as my af STILL hasn't made an appearance) until we can get back on it.

Thunder - im sorry I know how sad you must be. Don't lose hope just yet though, could still manage tomorrow? Maybe?

Chocolate - that is just blatantly rude. And completely unnessesary. Boohiss.

diyqueen · 06/02/2013 13:22

Sounds like a plan. Actually I've made a head start on both the wine and creme eggs Blush.

So what's everyone doing for the next month to get us through the long wait? I'm getting stuck into diy and gardening, trying to be positive and make sure the house is in a good a state as possible before I get pg again. And planning vegetables to grow with dd this summer (perhaps I'm trying to tempt fate there, grew millions of tomatoes when pg with dd and due to morning sickness couldn't eat a single one... planting lots of tomatoes is sure to work this year, no?!)

thunder, hoping your oh starts to feel better sharpish and that you might get your chance.

grotbagz · 06/02/2013 13:25

ibelieveinpink - i will be switching the chocolate for haribo and the wine for fruit flavoured cider (classy south west bird...), or am i pushing my luck there and going the right way for a talking to about such behaviour?

shellshock7 · 06/02/2013 13:32

Hi to all the lovely new people, so sorry to read your sad news, it's horrible how many people this happens to.

Oh thunder I'm sorry, hope you're ok

And choc that is awful, sorry to you too Sad

lucky I caved too Blush BFN of course...tho I have been feeling decidely odd these last two days, am getting my hopes up too much I know I just really want it this month

BumpKitty · 06/02/2013 13:35

I can't believe non of us have managed a BFP for January, tis most odd. Perhaps it was the snow? No reasons to back that up :)
I went to slimming world and am totally baffled! How many syns is a creme egg?

Bakingtins · 06/02/2013 13:46

Kitty If you are a SW member you can look up or calculate syns on the website. It's not too baffling once you get into it, I did it to lose baby weight after DS2 - only EE though, never got into red and green days.

Zuexippe you are going to have to come up with a short version of that name (or change it for something lucky if someone gets a BFP - are we going to do name changes in 2013 or is it just too confusing?) but that aside, you are very welcome.

Thundercatsarego · 06/02/2013 14:22

Hello ladies, ok I can start to come out of the despair now I think, slowly slowly slowly! Helped not in small part by your lovely comments and support.

To those who suggested it, is there actually still a chance after 24hours after smiley? Not that I think we'll manage it anyway and god knows we tried last night!

pink and diy, I love the pma, thank you girls. I have of course 4 weeks to wait so I will be drinking gallons of wine, eating brie and thinking of sonething positive to do. Have been considering growing things again- think that seems like a very positive activity and distraction and at least one opportunity to be fertile?!

Welcome zeu, so sorry you're here too and you've had to endure mother natures more trying side. Stick around here for a bit, we are honestly quite cheery at times.

bump, I'm with you- lets blame the bloody weather.

shell when is af due? Keep your chin up (but your feet down)

Zeuxippe · 06/02/2013 14:22

baking sorry for complicated alias! People can just call me Z if that helps.

IBelieveInPink · 06/02/2013 14:23

Grot - I am also south west and cider inclined. You are more than welcome to substitute for anything that helps!

DIY- I am doing much the same. Getting the garden sorted, redecorating kitchen. Trying to distract self with anything and everything. Also taken up drawing again which I haven't done for years. That is helping a lot!

Bakingtins · 06/02/2013 14:32

thunder if Mr T is up to it I'd definitely have another go. I think you normally ovulate about 24 hours after LH surge (which is what gives you your smiley) and then the egg has about 24 hrs to be fertilised as it travels down your tubes. Best to have the swimmers in there waiting but all is not lost. Dose him up with paracetamol and jump his bones!
It's crappy timing though. I've had a few months where DH has just not really felt like it when it's my fertile time and I've been so Angry. He just does not seem to grasp that if you miss it then it's another whole month to wait. Have been giving him advance notice last few cycles and telling him no excuses last of the great romantics
ibip and grot I'm SW too, not too keen on the cider though. One day we can all meet up with our babies!

Thundercatsarego · 06/02/2013 14:34

I'm SW too ladies! I sometimes have cider but prefer the Wine tbh.

Does anyone else have OHs that don't deal well under pressure? I still haven't worked out how to handle it, unless of course it's a more normal month and I just have to be wiley. I don't like it though!

JanieLovesHerThreeLeggedCat · 06/02/2013 15:38

i'm SW too - a creme egg is 9 syns oopsies. have held off having one but might have one after weigh in tonight! not expecting a good result due to basically being a human food and drink hoover for the last week..oopsies.

glad to see you back thunder and sounding a little bit more chipper :) go lure him tonight - i'm sure there's a few more hours of possible fertile-ness.

hi newbies, welcome to the funny farm!!

i did like the valentines name change theme however i already love my 3 legged cat so i'm already in the love gang there. I say the 1st person to get a BFP gets us all name changing!

GardenWorm · 06/02/2013 16:11

I like SW does that count?! thunder we had a similar incident last night, both knackered and not up for it. Ended up giving up and laughing hysterically....there's only so much you can do before conceding temporary defeat!

Munching on mini eggs. Nom, nom, nom....

shellshock7 · 06/02/2013 16:11

thunder I'm CD28 tomorrow but AF usually arrives 29/30 so I should know by Sat...totally inventing symptoms now tho, my boobs feel pregnant WTAF Blush

Also my DH struggles to see it thru all the way after doing a couple of days in a row, so I feel your pain...it's very frustrating Hmm

3sthenew2 · 06/02/2013 16:15

Oh poo, it's definately not implantation bleeding. So much for being super fertile after mc. Never mind, just a little worried though as I'm the wrong side of 30 so times running out!

grotbagz · 06/02/2013 17:15

ibip, bakingtins and thundercats would be lovely to meet up a la sprogs! wasn't expecting so many sw ladies! my partners from wales and thinks I'm posh because i don't speak like the wurzels. incidentally in our business we book them quite often - staying true to my roots obviously.

if you can without outing yourself, which part of the sw are you all from? i know it might not be possible to reveal though!

bakingtins, i used to hate cider, then gave in to peer pressure cant drink it not flavoured though, i think its because at school people used to spread around that it was made out of wee - i was clearly an impressionable child, but obviously wee and squash is fine...

gardenworm - that counts!

grotbagz · 06/02/2013 17:22

sorry janie didn't mean to miss you out, didn't see your post at first!
