Happy new thread! Here's hoping for lots of Christmas and new year bfp's, and long healthy pregnancies for everyone. Smile

I would defo POAS at that point, but I am hopeless ha ha Good luck!

Thundercatsarego · 17/01/2013 13:44

Well I did it. Sainsburys digi says NO.

Bakingtins · 17/01/2013 14:10

Just too early thunder. It's not over until AF arrives but you can reasonably expect that to be longer than a normal cycle first one after MC.

JanieLovesHerThreeLeggedCat · 17/01/2013 14:14

Oh darn it. Maybe still too early then :( still got my fx for you. sorry for my rubbish advise :( xx

yorkiebilb · 17/01/2013 14:20

can you use sainsburys digi prior to your missed af Thunder? Are they that sensitive? If I was testing before my af I'd use a frer. I agree with baking I think it could be too early to test.

Thundercatsarego · 17/01/2013 14:22

Don't worry janie, who knows if I had bought a FRER or any pink dye test it might have given me something! It's fine, I've now got the poas urge out of my system for a couple of days at least!

Yeah you're right tins, I'm still quite early even for a 28 day cycle too. I just want to know either way! I think I can cope ok if it hasn't worked this month...just want to know!

Thundercatsarego · 17/01/2013 14:35

I think you're right yorkie. D'oh.

Have got a FRER being posted to me from one of my old antenatal buddies so I'll use that when it comes and not spend any more hard earned money and won't poas again til it comes. The postal service will decide and therefore I am probably doomed

JBrd · 17/01/2013 14:49

Gosh, lots of frantic testing going on here! Go ladies, go Grin

Sooo, anyone got any advice/wisdom for me? I had my EPRC last week Friday, no bleeding at all afterwards. Today it suddenly starts gushing out! Bit scary...has anyone had that, is that normal? Went throw a couple of pads in an hour, although it seems to have slowed down a bit now. Also have lower back pain.

I want my body to go back to normal, please! Will test tomorrow, what are my chances for a BFN, is it too soon? Tested on Tuesday, and it was positive, but the line was a lot weaker than it used to be... Am I expecting too much too soon?
It's silly, but I have this obsession with the age gap between DS and no.2 - really wanted it to be 2 years, but that's not going to happen now. If anything, I'll be lucky if we can manage 2.5 years, but I'd have to get pregnant pretty much tomorrow for that Shock

chocolateteabag · 17/01/2013 16:25

Hi JBrd - - I would give your EPU a quick call about the bleeding and pain just to be on the safe side. I'm sure I've read on here that others have had random bleeds post MC. But better to get some proposer advice in this instance I think.

I know what you mean about having planned gaps.
My DS is 2 years and 2 months at the moment and personally quite glad I don't have another LO right now. Would have liked one when he was 2.5 years ish - and will now be 3 at the earliest. But at least will be a bit easier as we can talk about the new baby more. At 2 DS is/was still a baby himself.

Thundercatsarego · 17/01/2013 16:57

Ey up jbrd, I think it's probably fine with the bleeding- with mine they said just call if it hadn't stopped after 3 weeks. I had bleeding straight away for like one day and then spotting (sometimes pretty heavy) on and off for a couple more weeks, then a fees days off before what I thought was first af (4weeks after op), which was followed by another af 11 days later. Confusing! As the others say though, absolutely no harm in making the phonecall for reassurance. They'll probay say give it a little while and if it's still heavy to go in to get scanned or something...

I'm really sorry to say it but I wouldn't be too optimistic about getting a bfn after just a week. I tried it because I felt exactly the same as you, and there was still a line there- oh the irony! BUT of you want to see if it's getting fainter the crack on. And who knows, your body may have recovered quicker than mine.

I don't know about age gaps as this was number 1 for me but the only thing I do know is that whatever your plans are, life manages to get in the way somehow! (3.5 years between me and my bro and I love the age gap)

ArkadyRose · 17/01/2013 17:56

JBrd I had my most recent ERPC a week ago yesterday, and to be honest it wouldn't even occur to me to test after only a week. Mostly my bleeding is down to brown spotting, but it does start up again dark red if I overdo things. I've ordered a load of cheapie tests off Amazon but I don't think I'll be testing until it's been another week.

I'd just try and take it easy and don't overdo things for a bit longer, and just try to be patient. Easier said than done, I know.

Floweroct · 17/01/2013 19:01

jbrd I too would wait a while to see if you have a bfn, I think on general if you are still bleeding its likely to be pos still. I had erpc 4 weeks ago today and tested on sun and its still pos! Waiting til the weekend before I do another one. The line is a lot lighter but it won't disappear!

Does anyone know how long between stopping bleeding and getting af is! Bled for about a week and then had spotting on and off since but had some more normal bleeding today and feels more like af and also feeling bit more hormonal, is this likely to be af or am I bring too hopeful. Ioght call hospital on Monday.

Fingers crossed its just too early thunderr

Bakingtins · 17/01/2013 19:51

Think I posted up-thread that I used to look after a family of four kids with almost perfect 2 yr gaps and always thought I'd be like that. 3.5 yrs, one MC and quite a while TTCing between my 2 boys and heading for 3.5yrs + gap if we manage a third. Will not be trying for a fourth!
Ah, the naivety of youth!

3.5yrs is a nice gap BTW, older one independent enough to understand needs of a new baby and do a bit of looking after younger sibling as they get older.

JBrd · 17/01/2013 20:12

Thunder - before I got my BFP back in November, I first had a negative in spite of already being 2 days late! Another 3 days, and it was positive. So there's still hope!

Thank you ladies, you are right about the age gap not being important! I'm much closer to my sister (3 years' gap) than my brother (2 years' gap), so I shouldn't get my knickers in a twist about it all.

Hmm, maybe I'll safe myself the heartache and not test tomorrow, then... It really is ironic - only a little while ago, I couldn't wait for a BFP, and now I can't wait to get a BFN! Life, eh?
The bleeding seems to have slowed down now, but I'm very tired. PJs, tea, blanket, sofa, book, I think! With a couple of strategically placed cats around me.

yorkiebilb · 17/01/2013 20:14

Flower I stopped bleeding after 2 and a half weeks on xmas eve and started af on 6/01 so about 13 days between the two for me. My af lasted 8 days and it's usually 5. It sounds like your af but it differs for everyone though.

IBelieveInPink · 17/01/2013 20:40

Jbrd - like the strategically placed cats :) cute! I think my negative finally came 16 days after my erpc. My negative this time was quicker as it was all over naturally and my hormones were so low anyway, but was still 11 days ( not that I bothere testing any earlier, so it may have shown up sooner.) definitely didn't with my erpc back in October though.

Thunder- what were you doing using mid day pee?? Always wait for fmu if you testing early! But- will concede, I perhaps shouldn't have encouraged the wasting of another fiver. looks sheepish will be good next time... perhaps

Thundercatsarego · 17/01/2013 22:38

I know I know I was a damn fool! And was whipped into a poas frenzy by all the encouragement! So no more testing for me til the FRER comes which will be sat or mon I hope. Feeling massively fat- really bloated and have the thirst of....a fish? Something thirsty anyway. Have drunk 5 pints of water this afternoon/evening! hmm link with bloating perhaps

I'm loving the strategically placed cats too, sounds lovely! How's everyone else? In good spirits?

NotSpartacus · 17/01/2013 22:55

Hi everyone, just checking in on this awful ipad. I hope you are all ok.
Am getting a bit worried, I had terrible periody pains for maybe 4 or 5 days. They stopped a couple of days ago, and based on when I think I ovulated I should now have my period. But other than the tiniest spot I have nothing! And I poas but am not pregnant. I am starting to think they have broken my uterus.
I'm not meant to have another baby, am I? (Self pitying)

NotSpartacus · 17/01/2013 23:00

What I meant (in addition to the whinge) was has anyone else experienced this?

Thundercatsarego · 18/01/2013 08:41

Morning notspartacus, sorry I haven't had anything like this. Is this first cycle after mc? (sorry can't remember), because I think the gloves are off if it is- could be long cycle, could be heavier even LA skirt proportions etc, so it might be just getting ready to fire and it's going to be a bit later than you expect this time? Sorry, not very helpful, but I'm sure they havent broken your uterus Smile

chocolateteabag · 18/01/2013 09:54

Morning all
NotSpartacus - I haven't had that but must be super frustrating and everyone is allowed to be self-pitying on this thread. So let's get detective on it can you tell I am avoiding working
It could be:
A. Broken Uterus - now is this really possible? Does sound painful Hmm
B. Your body playing silly buggers - highly likely as we all know MOTHER NATURE IS A FUCKING BITCH!!
C. Could be that you actually OV'd late and AF is just on her way. Cramps could have just been wind?
D. (whisper) could be a shy BFP

Let's have an FX for D, but maybe its B or C?

Thunder meant to ask before - what do you do to work at home? I am envisioning a writer? Maybe of crime?
I work for a big multi-national company and don't actually have anyone in my office that I work with day to day. My Manager is in Costa Rica for example. So technically don't need to go up to work, except that it stops me mn-ing and going crazy sat on my own.....Grin

Thundercatsarego · 18/01/2013 10:09

Going crazy sat on my own- yeah you can see I know what that means eh? Shall I make up a really interesting job to entertain you or do you want the truth?

Ok so I am a scientist who works on top secret DNA analysis in my own home lab (too top secret to be in a central building)

or I work for a charity on a project that's based the other end of the county to our head office so am based at home...yawn

Either way all change for me next month. New job in a real life office with real life people in it. I won't know what's hit me! And neither will MN.

shellshock7 · 18/01/2013 13:20

notspartacus I keep getting pains that are just like round ligament pain in early pregancy (am defo not pregnant, only on CD9!) and I keep thinking has my uterus just snapped from all the strain of the last two years! Hope you get an answer soon, its so frustrating just waiting for an AF to arrive that you don't even bloody want Angry

Good luck with new job [thunder]!

JBrd · 18/01/2013 15:16

So now I managed to get the norovirus from DS, just when I thought I'd be spared. Feeling very sick and have awful diarrhoea and a fever. Great.

Feeling sorry for myself, can you tell Hmm

Fortunately, the bleeding seems to have stopped.

Thundercatsarego · 18/01/2013 15:18

Oh no jbrd you poor thing- that is so miserable. Hope it disappears very quickly indeed Thanks
