Old Fred here

Here we go Brookers, it's been a long year with lots of BFPs and newborn snuggles for the Brookers. We're just a sleigh-ride away from 2013, when the rest of us will get our get our 12 week scans (because of course we will all have BFPs under the christmas tree this year!)

So come all ye brookers, it's tinsel and baubels all the way!

where's sparks with that birthday cake?Wink

cartoontrickster · 22/01/2013 13:59

sorry to hear about your grandad cupsSad

ControlGeek · 22/01/2013 14:52

Thanks solars that helps a lot. A D&C is dilation & curettage, same thing you have for medical management of a termination or mmc - cleans out all your lining and takes your womble back to square one. Would be very good timing for this to happen in the first day or two of my AF! I worry that a pg test wouldn't show if it's a day or two before AF is due, as I have such a short LP (12 days). Will just have to wait and see when I ov really, jumping the gun a bit to assume my body is going to continue doing like it's done for the last two cycles.

maybe thank you for the brooking Smile I'll just have to wait for the date confirmation and whatever other advice they give in the letter really Given the D&C, it's not just the anaesthetic they would be concerned about if there was a risk of pg!

Have just found out that, dinkboss permitting, I am going to be a llama farmer for the next two days - how exciting!!!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 22/01/2013 15:37

Hang on a minute Geek a llama farmer?! How can this be? Can I come too? Grin

Solars · 22/01/2013 15:56

Llama's at work? Really Geek? sounds very exciting! DH and I were going to do a llama trek last year but couldn't get the weekend we wanted, iirc it was somewhere in the midlands.

Positive on an opk today, just contemplating whether seducing DH in thermal underwear is a good or bad idea??!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 22/01/2013 16:11

Grin Solars I think that's a plan! Not wrong with a pair of long johns!!

cartoontrickster · 22/01/2013 16:22

solars can you get crotchless long johns Grin

ControlGeek · 22/01/2013 18:02

cartoon Shock and there was me thinking boo was our resident brooking kinkster! Mind you, I do own a pair of army surplus longjohns, which do indeed have - erm - shall we say an escape hatch, with gents in mind?!

solars Go for it - it will make an interesting variation on 'you can leave your hat on'! Grin

Yes, work run a volunteering scheme, and two people have dropped out on tomorrow and Thursday's placement, so I will get to go to a farm with wallabies and alpacas, horses, ponies, donkeys and all kinds of smaller animals and spend a couple of days mucking them out and generally making myself useful. God I'm excited!

NewYearNewBoo · 22/01/2013 18:41

Shock I'm still lurking on here you know, kinkster indeed Wink hope Mr g improves soon. Enjoy the farming, I used to love helping on my friends farm.

Face how's it going? Everything settled? Brooking it has for you.

Keep when is it testing time? Hope you're having a lovely time with your sister.

It is all getting very exciting over here isn't it, all the tests and appointments, do we think we will get another tripe whammy :):)

ControlGeek · 22/01/2013 20:08

Ladies, are you trying to kill me??? I've just done the easiest of Jillian Michaels' 30 day shred sessions and I'm half dead!

MotherOfCleo · 22/01/2013 20:13

haha geek just wait until tomorrow.....it only gets worse Grin works though!

ControlGeek · 22/01/2013 20:14

cleo please no - I have to spend the next two days mucking out 18 horses, 2 alpacas, a donkey and some assorted goats, wallabies and ferrets - reckon I picked the wrong night to start? Sad

cartoontrickster · 22/01/2013 20:15

geek a farm! how exciting. can't wait to hear all about it. is there pigs I luff piglets! won't you be freezing though? you may need those long johns, after you've lend them to solars of course Wink
I've got all kinds of situations going on here but ill give you all a break from from tales about my bum!
spotting comes and goes. I've felt rank all day I think I'm finally feeling the effects of all the meds. it did seem I was getting off quite lightly. on the plus side I've not got moon face yet

Withalittlesparkle · 22/01/2013 20:26

Geek Llama farmer, amazing, even if its just so that I can keep saying it, I love a good ryhme!!!!

amazing victoria sponge, made more by mrsparks than by myself!! bless him he is on form at the moment!!!

cartoontrickster · 22/01/2013 20:38

6wks today sparks. glad you had a lovely day. Smile

MotherOfCleo · 22/01/2013 20:40

geek let me know how you get on with that Grin at least you wont have a chance to stiffen up

BeedlesPineNeedles · 23/01/2013 05:44

geek have fun with the llamas today :o

face thanks for not sharing about your bum, but I'm sure you feeling rotten must be a good sign.

sweetie that was very reassuring about your fabulously thick lining followed by a light period. makes me less worried about my blink and you'll miss them periods

keep hope everything is going ok with your sis. Were you wanting to watch the programme about IVF? Its on YouTube, search for babymakers 2013. Its the whole programme. I found it really interesting, and really useful for giving me an idea of what to expect. Didn't manage to get mrb to watch it though.

Right time to get ready to go out in the cold, a rather chilly -14 today, good thing I also own long johns, though they are of the boring, non-kinky kind :o

GreenOlives · 23/01/2013 13:26

You fell off my "threads im on" Blush
I always keep up to date with what's happening over here, just don't have time to post! Be assured that I am brooking very hard for each and every one of you lovely ladies! Grin And I can't wait to see you on the grad and then post grad threads!

ControlGeek · 23/01/2013 15:38

cartoon sorry, no piggy-wigs, but they had everything else! The wallabies were soooo cute! They have miniature shetlands as well as (much!) bigger horses, and the whole day was just jam packed with things to do. We finished everything off by about 2pm, so spent an hour grooming then all left at 3. Pics will be up on facebook by the end of the weekend - too knackered to put up the ones I took today! Hope you are continuing to feel rank, for all the right reasons.

sparks sadly there are no llamas there, just alpacas, but I love a good rhyme too so today I am a llama farmer Grin

cleo amazingly not too stiff today thanks - was able to move quite well this morning, but after cleaning out six stables and the yard I'm beginning to seize up a bit. Still, tis day 2 of the shred so I will have to get to it shortly.

beedle -14 wow that's cold! It was hovering about zero here today and that was bad enough.

SweetieTime · 23/01/2013 16:25

geek your llhama farming sounds amazing, if a little chilly Grin bet you will feel it tomorrow. How is MrG?

Lovely to see you olives not long now for the triple whammy ladies. Are you taking bets on the order yet?

cartoon you still hanging in there lovely?

Prepare for a rant. This slip of a girl in my office just announced her pregnancy. Due in July but still very slim, patting a none existing bump stating "oh I am massive, I thought everyone had guessed" Angry Angry it is going to be a long time until July. Sad

BeedlesPineNeedles · 23/01/2013 18:17

sweetie rant away, I noticed one of the younger women in my office has suddenly grown a bump over Christmas. I felt a bit stabby towards her last week, but today I sat at the same table as her eating lunch. I've no idea when she's due because i don't particularly want to talk about babies (except with you lot of course :o )

Yes geek flipping cold here, luckily its very still so no wind chill. And it stops the snow melting :o

MrB has been to the other side of the country for a meeting today so I'm relaxing with a glass of wine whilst cooking the dinner, and waiting for him to get home.

cartoontrickster · 23/01/2013 19:07

ah sweetie I know how you feel. a friend has just text to tell me she's 13wks preg (we're not very close) but it still hurts because I still feel so uncertain about my own pregnancy.
I'm happily going along in denial putting any symptoms down to the drugs and trying not to think of myself as pregnant to protect myself a bit.
I feel so fat at the moment as well. some of my jeans won't do up! its ridiculous.

SweetieTime · 23/01/2013 20:20

Beedle enjoy your wine, what are you cooking?

cartoon sounds like things going ok for you, weight gain cannot all be down to the meds. Am Brooking so super hard for you.

Ladies thanks for being so understanding towards my totally unreasonable behaviour. I don't even know the girl who it was. It probably just caught me off guard, I didn't even realise I had a guard. Just having a bit of a down day, feeling very tired today too. So early night for me I think.

cartoontrickster · 23/01/2013 20:47

thanks sweetie I don't think its unreasonable at all. its really hard to hear. its a perfectly natural reaction.

Withalittlesparkle · 23/01/2013 22:04

sweetie if it makes you feel any better I still struggle with pregnancy announcements and I'm nearly 19 weeks!!! There's a girl at work who told me she'd had a positive pregnancy test in the same sentence as congratulating me on my pregnancy! I actually wanted to throttle her!!!!!

face 6 weeks, feeling bloated AND sick, it really is looking good for you!! When is the earliest they'll scan you?

Brooking for all my lovely rat smackers
