Here we go Brookers, it's been a long year with lots of BFPs and newborn snuggles for the Brookers. We're just a sleigh-ride away from 2013, when the rest of us will get our get our 12 week scans (because of course we will all have BFPs under the christmas tree this year!)

So come all ye brookers, it's tinsel and baubels all the way!

I would've joined you ladies before hand but every time I found the new thread via the app it crashed on me still I'm here and in work super early so I can get on with some good old fashioned catching up (but not from the old thread because I cant respond to smileys!

Keep You're right, if someone told us at the beginning "its going to take you xx months" it would be so much easier to cope with. We've started telling people, but only as and when we see them, no mass text messages at this stage. All my family know, and a couple of people at work but it isnt general knowledge to everyone! we're taking our time. to be honest I'm not enjoying telling people as much as I thought I would! I sort of liked having the knowledge of baby all to myself!!

I think Mrsparks new how obsessed I was by my pee stick addiction, even now as I piddle with wanton abandon (its a hormone thing) I still think "hmmm what a waste, surely there is jar that needs filling somewhere"

Oh and as for boobage, I wish it wouldn't vary BUT I think on a whole I was pretty consistent, my boobs would hurt on and off from a few days after OV, then as AF got closer they'd get sorer, but then I was proding them a lot, trying to tell whether they had grown or not!! The month I got my BFP there was no soreness but then I wasnt even thinking about it, so there was no prodding

On the boobage discussion I get nada, zilch soreness, never ever have apart from recently during my ivf cycle when I took the hcg trigger shot!

And DH has only now started to think about ttc since watching me go through ivf and especially since part of the issue we've now discovered could be down to his sperm. Also with going private now there's a lot of money at stake too! Luckily he's never had an issue with JIAJ so I really feel for you Beedle

Brooking for those ripening eggs Keep I think for completeness I would like the test done for the DH's antibodies, partly to figure out if we ever really had a chance all those years of ttc and partly to find out what our chances are naturally. DH really wants to try naturally after the lap but if we've got no chance then we may as well head straight for the ivf, also say we get lucky with the next ivf and when we want another is ivf the only way we can have kids again? We need to think about our finances throughout all of this as we're lucky we have savings now but it was meant to be used as a deposit for a new house, which we are now having to shelve at the moment.

Oooo and I would love a ttc print out every month! come on bodies evolve

Beedle well done on getting MrB to sort out his JIAJ. I've had no problem getting DH to JIAJ, worryingly he seems quite keen to. I think he enjoys permission to self love as otherwise he's not allowed

Solars am sorry about AF, I totally understand what you mean by saying you no longer expect a natural BFP. However they do happen, we have all heard enough stories so I'm brooking for an ironic BFP for all the brookers or else.

Keep thank god you finally got a treatment plan from the AWOL doctors. Have you already started the clomid? How are you finding it?

Griff your situation sounds similar to mine. I was told I would have to wait until we had been trying for 3 years to be referred for IVF. I was discharged from the fertility specialist in September who said I had to go away for another year & wait for IVF. I went back to my GP who promised me she would send my referral over and over again until I got accepted. She sent it again in November with a letter stating I was at 2 and a half years ttc, that I had received no treatment not even clomid and statistically I was very unlikely to conceive without help and that by the time I was accepted/got an appointment it would be 3 years anyway. I received my referral for IVF after that letter. How helpful is your GP? I have changed my GP about 7 months ago as my last GP was horrible & unsympathetic. I complained about him to the practice manager at my GPs. Also who told you it is a 2 year wait? What area do you live in? I'm really surprised by that as I've not heard of such a long waiting list before. I think you should go on Fertility Friends forum as there will be threads for your pct & you can ask people how long they have waited once they have been referred. I'm sorry that you are having to fight to get appropriate treatment, it makes me so .

Excellent advice from cup to griff. I second both going back to a nice GP, and also doing some digging around this 'two years', which must really be getting you down. If you tell me what pct you're in I'm happy to help?

Yes cup, I started 50mg clomid on CD 4, have taken three, two to go then dildo can on Monday! I don't think I'm really having any side effects, but we also know you can always feel things if you try. Anyway, nothing bad :)

Griff I'm also happy to look into it for you if you tell me what PCT you are in. I'm only questioning the 2 year waiting time as I had been told a lot of rubbish by my previous GP that I only found out was wrong by going on fertility friends. He wouldn't even refer us to a fertility specialist & told us we were not entitled to IVF at all.

we have a long weekend this weekend - monday off!

keep kids do still play in the snow and go sledging etc but at the moment the snow is too soft and powdery to make snowballs and snowmen - it doesn't stick together. Though that's not necessarily a bad thing, its very easy to clear the snow from the path with a broom, Mrb does our path in the morning whilst I'm setting the alarm and locking the door.

I don't mind that we're your dirty little secret from Mrkeep, Mrb knows nothing either

You know what Keep having a teen is not actually that bad, for every bit of attitude they give you, you have the opportunity to think of new and imaginative punishments and ways to embarrass them for example it is a lot of fun (for us) to change the security settings on his laptop when he is being a bugger, so he can't access his wank bank you tube, or spend the week before parents evening getting your panda onsie ready as the perfect outfit It is a lot of fun

Im actually having the worst morning (in comparison to other morning, not compared to say a homeless persons morning) SO the new app does not like the new brookers thread, every time I try to see it it just crashes, which is a huge problem obviously!!! then I look out of the window and theres no snow, which is fine, looked a bit damp out, got ready in weather appropriate clothes (trousers that dont drag on the floor) leave the house, and BAM, I'm down!! it wasnt damn outside it was flipping sheets of black ice!! Imagine a street after heavy rainfall, lots of surface water, now imagine it completely frozen!!! luckyily I managed to fall on my hands and knees, but it flipping hurt!!! AND unknown to me as I hit the deck the water bottle inside my lunch box exploded, so by the time I actually made it to work my lunch was ruined I shall be hobbling to the canteen later because Ive decided I deserve a bacon sandwich!!!!

Cup Thanks, I'm still reeling from it to be honest, EDD is 24th June, so it was only moved back 2 days from when I thought, but babies two measurements were quite different, one when twinkle was all scrunched up and the other when twinkle was mid stretch, so I'm hoping that Wednesday scan will help confirm everything. How are you doing?
