Here we go Brookers, it's been a long year with lots of BFPs and newborn snuggles for the Brookers. We're just a sleigh-ride away from 2013, when the rest of us will get our get our 12 week scans (because of course we will all have BFPs under the christmas tree this year!)

I've not tested. I think I'd be sad to see a fake bfp, iykwim. I want the first time to be a real time.

Annoyingly they don't look at morphology pre-iui. That's where our issue is. But, the Dr said they need 10m to have a good chance, so we make up for poor morphology with numbers!

It's just a normal 2ww, he said to test on the 25th, I think AF will show on the 26/27th... No drugs, as haven't been shown to have a progesterone issue.

Oh, and also meant to tell you as dh went in to do his bit they asked him if he wanted to do sex selection. Grrrrr. He said no, we just want a baby! Lots of people esp from Oz I think come here for that, usually through ivf. I don't see what they could do through iui...

That's great news Keep I had a bizarre image of super fast shiny sperm racing towards your super duper egg when reading your post (I'm not crazy honest ) I'm brooking very excitedly for you my dear. Btw sex selection makes me really mad, I only understand it in cases where people carry genetic disorders on certain sexes that are incompatible with life.

I've finally arranged to get my wedding dress cleaned, I got married in 2009! Cartoon you have shamed me into action. Mine is costing £130 to get it cleaned and boxed. It's getting picked up between now and 12 so I'm stuck in the house all morning.

I meant my DH thought I would always have an egg ready to be fertilised, he didn't realise ovulation only happened once a cycle.

I'm about to make some Oreo cupcakes for my friends party tomorrow.

If he didn't before, he certainly does now Cups arf @ Mr C thinking there was an egg just sort of sitting there waiting they are funny these fellas!

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only slob out there Boo and Maybe wrt wedding dress cleaning. I asked around my friends and they all had theirs done straight after the wedding

Cartoon good luck in resisting leftover goodies. I put mine away a few weeks ago but I keep going and secretly gorging on the stash. The gigs up however as DH found a pile of wrappers in my dressing gown pocket. I've now decided the best course of action is to eat it all ASAP

Btw I watched the rest of babymakers last night. It mad me so sad, for the couples that were unsuccessful. It was really good for DH to watch as well, it upset him a bit as I think he has been seeing IVF as the answer to all our problems. I don't want him to be upset but I want him to go into all of this with realistic expectations.

Men really are daft Face. We don't have any leftover goodies. We weren't really home the whole festive period so didn't really stock much up. How disappointing!

haha cups we were also going for the eat it all asap approach but at this rate ill be needing maternity clothes v.soon!

Oh Cup poor MrCup. I know what you mean about being realistic though. A girl I used to work with had IVF. She told me to see the process as a 3 cycle treatment. Her IVF counsellor told her that the success rates quoted are per cycle, but if you look at it over a 3 cycle period, the majority of couples fall pregnant. I think that totally makes sense. And sure enough she has a gorgeous little girl! We shall all get our babies brookers. The Assisted Brooking Babies. Oh yes.

That's the way I'm viewing it Maybe, but being a brooker I KNOW that we will all be getting ironic BFPs before treatment or having nice easy IVF cycles followed by no visits from AF for 9 months.
