Hi! I am due my period in the next few days (I hope! that's a first ;)) then I will officially be ttc! Very exciting times...

So I thought I would start a nice friendly thread so we can go on our ttc journey together!!

I have been taking folic acid when I remember the last few weeks or so and came off the pill a few months ago.. I'm not entirely sure of my cycles yet, but think I'm due thurs or fri..

So come say hi! x

Oh kbaby, sweetheart, I can totally understand your nerves and the horrible anxiety. There is nothing I can say to take it away (and I'm sure you'll be counting down the hours, minutes and seconds until the scan) but I can send a virtual hug.

Try to stay strong. Is there anything you can try to busy yourself with and distract your brain for a while?

Fingers crossed for you and your little bean.

Thanks Bridget that means a lot yep been playin with dd all day but it's there in the back of my head I honestley feel so scared, I just want it over with and them to tell me it's ok. I've told my self tO try look at the scan until they tell me it's all ok xxx

BridgetandtheHairyBrigands · 13/01/2013 14:44

Glad DP is being a rock, I bet he is feeling scared witless too.

petitfromage · 13/01/2013 15:18

Well guys sorry I missed posts yesterday - bit busy with party! Also had a bit of a down morning moment as my very confused body decided that the morning before a party for 50 kids was the best time for AF. Perfect. Oh and it was really heavy. Just great. Felt a bit down but had a really fun afternoon in the end, and a few guilt free glasses of wine last night!

Hey Ho. Think maybe I was pg for a bit but didn't work out - maybe as I only had coil out 3 weeks ago. Everything crossed for us all that we get some BFPs in feb.... And I've got some spare tests ready to use next month!

MrsSpencerReid · 13/01/2013 16:00

HmmPetit, just think of all the wine you can drink over the next few days WineWine
Kbaby, will be thinking of you tomorrow

fr00tbat · 13/01/2013 18:06

Any news petit??
Was 6 months when af returned- was ebf- period much lighter and gar more irregular- i didnt ovulate until this cycle- 12 months.

fr00tbat · 13/01/2013 18:10

Oh god- so sorry- page hadnt updated. X

cocoachannel · 13/01/2013 19:32

Sorry to hear that Petit.

Good luck tomorrow fr00t.

2WW has started for us. Funny I thought I was quite relaxed about it, I have DD and a full time career I love, but now another DC is on the cards I found myself perusing the baby names threads when DD was having her nap this afternoon and I went for a lie down!

cocoachannel · 13/01/2013 19:34

Oh, and it also occurred to me that as well as the old adage about forgetting the realities of childbirth all the stuff that comes with TTC (EWCM etc.) had been forgotten!

petitfromage · 13/01/2013 19:59

No worries fr00t, I'm just going to make the most of it (DH opening Wine as I type) and hope that things happen when they are meant to. Preferably next month!!!

So happy for you fr00t, fingers crossed for everything to carry on smoothly...

Has 2ww calmed down yet cocoa? I had a look at names too and I have no reason yet so feel guilt free.....

X

Fridgedooropen · 14/01/2013 00:02

fr00t Congratulations Thanks

kbaby Fingers crossed all goes well tomorrow.

Blue I got my period back at around 8 months which was when I was still bf but not completely, had introduced solids and also was back at work so had cut out the office hours feeds but was still bfing morning and bedtime as well as I think once in the night. So it might be that though you're still bfing, because it has lessened a bit with solids coming in, your AF will return - that's pretty much how it was for me.

Charmaine so sorry for your loss before Christmas. Best of luck now.

cocoachannel I'm not even started yet (getting ready!) but have just spent 15 mins calcuating various due dates based on what I think my next few cycles will be! Blush

On the cycle topic, I'm CD19 today and this afternoon have had quite an achy abdomen like period pains but shouldn't be due for at least another work (cycles can be about 26 days without help; Vit B6 has lengthened them a bit in the past). So I am wondering whether it's PMT starting a bit early or something related to a late ovulation? Should explain that I am pretty sure DS was conceived v late in my cycle, around CD21, so I think I may ovulate late and have a short luteal phase - hence using the Vit B6. Does anyone else get these symptoms at this point in the cycle and does it seem to be AF or ovulation-related? Have lent my copy of TCOYF to a friend so can't read up on it, and the internet outside trusted sites is scaring me a bit tonight, what with false reports of Neil Tennant's death and all. I don't want the negativity.

LondonSuperTrooper · 14/01/2013 13:05

kbaby How did you get on with scan this morning? I'm thinking of you.

BridgetandtheHairyBrigands · 14/01/2013 13:35

Afternoon all, I hope everyone's week has got off to a good start, especially kbaby (fingers and toes firmly crossed here).

Oh petit sorry pesky AF turned up on Saturday and talk about bloody annoying timing too! Just what you need, the floodgates opening, before you go in to battle with entertain a gaggle of excited children.

Seeing as you've all confessed, I'll admit that fantasy baby names and forecasting due dates are two regular hobbies of mine too Blush I even forecast potential pregnancy announcement dates

Fridge I wish I could help with your symptoms. Cycle day 19/21 tends to mean sore breasts and feeling miserable for me (i.e. PMS kicking in) I think it's around this time that my progesterone levels peak and then start dropping.

To be honest, I often find my own body so confusing that I wouldn't dare hazard a guess what's going on in someone else's....I'd undoubtedly give out totally duff advice Confused

111007kbaby · 14/01/2013 13:49

Hey all 1stly thank you all for being sO nice and supportive means a lot, as wen sat there waiting for my scan today I thought of all your nice comments. (big hug) welllll it went very well so relieved, seen babble looked like a little blob lol but seen heartbeat straight away to she said it l

111007kbaby · 14/01/2013 13:50

Looked perfect and I'm about 9 weeks and she wants to see me in the 15th Of feb so fingers crossed this all continues very well. Xxx

BridgetandtheHairyBrigands · 14/01/2013 14:05

Brilliant news! kbaby - I bet it was huge relief...Grin

9 weeks, gosh, is that much further along than you expected?

(I wasn't on the thread at the beginning so think I've missed some of your 'story')

LondonSuperTrooper · 14/01/2013 14:47

Fab news kbaby. I am with Bridget in that I didn't realise that you were so far along in your pregnancy. Wishing you the best of luck with your Feb scan x

Since we are all in a confessional mode I will also confess to predicting my ovulation dates and googling online for my predicted due date.... I regularly do that and I don't I'm odd. Its great to know that I'm not alone though ;) As for baby names, I have a list of male & female names that I like. DH on the other hand likes really obscure names and needless to say I will try & persuade him to my way of thinking Wink

To be honest I have everything ready for #2. I have all the kit and equipment that I need and just want a BFP to continue on with my dream of a second child. We viewed the house that we are in process of buying and DS said "Mummy this can be the baby's room as it's the closest one to yours." That was a precious moment and I hope that this house and 2013 will prove lucky for me. As indeed for all of us. kbaby please sprinkle some baby dust on this thread.

111007kbaby · 14/01/2013 14:58

Lol I used to use the online predictor all the time, and i even downloaded a I phone app lol, I thought I was around 5/6/7 weeks but to hear 9 was a relief. Hopefully b4 I no it I'll be 12 yippee lol I'm sending you all loads of baby dust and it's going to happen regardless, I've thought of a few names but I'm really stuck for girl names. And dp isn't really keen on my unusual names. And it Was a massive relief now just got to wait till the 15th but I'll b do busy moving house etc so it shud fly by. I'm also of to new York on the 20 th feb n by then it should all be confirmed so itl b nice to do a little bit of shopping lol xxx

BridgetandtheHairyBrigands · 14/01/2013 16:05

kbaby - a new baby on the way, moving house and shopping trips in New York! - I have definitely gone wrong somewhere Grin

I am with kbaby and Mr London in liking more unusual names. Mr Hairy vetoed quite a few names first time around but I utterly adore the name we eventually agreed on. This probably sounds so silly but it is one of the very, very few things in life I feel I got absolutely right.

I can't see me ever finding another name I love as much.

London I have not a jot of baby equipment left as I gave it all away when DH was adamant we were having a single child. It was too painful to keep Sad On the plus side it will hopefully mean I have the fun of picking it all again!

I became a total baby-kit junkie first time around and Mr Hairy used to call the Mothercare catalogue my "porn magazine"!

London bless your little DS. I bet it sort of took your breath away when he said that. He sounds a really sweetie x

111007kbaby · 14/01/2013 16:11

Lol Bridget I was proper physco Wen it comes to shopping I have a serious addiction, and I my dp is already saying god help him lol as my dd is just as bad.
I was just taking tO a freind and it totally skipped my mind it's totally freaky now she's reminded me, we were in black

111007kbaby · 14/01/2013 16:14

Pool and we had this woman in a tiny dirty shack that stunk of smoke, to read our palms and it was so weird that she said I would have 3 children and conceive in November and have a boy I was so freaked wen my mate reminded me. Well she got November rite lets how much of the rest Was true. Xxx ( sorry 4 the broken message silly I phone)

BridgetandtheHairyBrigands · 14/01/2013 16:20

Gosh that is very spooky!

I generally don't believe all that stuff but I did see a palm-reader the month I conceived Mini Bridget and she told me I would "get the result I wanted at the end of the month".

Admittedly she also predicted a load of other bollocks stuff that hasn't come true.

111007kbaby · 14/01/2013 16:24

Loool I'm not one to Beleive but it's just a little spooky, they do predict a lot of crap have you started taking parentals? Mine are making me feel more sick, the thought of taking them kills me. Xx

LondonSuperTrooper · 15/01/2013 12:20

bridget he is an utter sweetheart when he puts his mind to it. Plus he wanted to be sure to get the bigger bedroom as he is a bigger than the baby and has lot more toys than a small baby..... so he tells me!
I was actually on the verge of getting rid of all my baby stuff as I convinced myself that I did not want to have another child after having my miscarriage. So, it's extremely lucky that I've got pretty much everything.

kbaby I really wish I could do what you did. That is muddle up my dates somehow and suddenly realise that I am x number of weeks further along than originally thought. I had my miscarriage around 9 weeks but knew that things weren't quite right at 6 weeks as no heartbeat was detected. It was an agonising wait for the miscarriage to happen IYSWIM.

I generally do not belief in in psychics but am still interested to hear what they say and think what if......
