Hi! I am due my period in the next few days (I hope! that's a first ;)) then I will officially be ttc! Very exciting times...

So I thought I would start a nice friendly thread so we can go on our ttc journey together!!

I have been taking folic acid when I remember the last few weeks or so and came off the pill a few months ago.. I'm not entirely sure of my cycles yet, but think I'm due thurs or fri..

So come say hi! x

Hello! Is it ok if I join too? TTC number 2, DD is 12 month 2 weeks, still bf and only had a handful of AF in the past year so am not hopeful it'll be as easy to conceive as last time!

Hello, can I join please? TTC number 2, DD is 2.8. Cycle is a messed up disaster, plus I'm 41, so not expecting it to be easy.

Hey petit sorry to hear you are so down. I hope you can pick yourself up soon and enjoy Mother's Day with your family. I'm only on cycle 1 but I know I will feel like you soon if I don't get pg in the next few months. DS was a little (very welcome though!) surprise so I'm not used to having to think about all the ttc stuff.

Welcome back Francesca Wow, you really have been through the mill! So glad everything was OK at the last scan. That all sounds really scary. Hope you're taking care of yourself and getting as much rest as possible - easier said that done with a 2 year old, I know!

My news today is that my cheapy opks all seem to be duds! They are all invalid when I've tried to use them so I'm off to Boots to get some Clearblue ones which should hopefully show up ov in the next few days. DH wasn't feeling too well last night so we skipped dtd then but he knows he better step up to the mark tonight!

Hello all

Can I sneak back onto the thread? I've had a dramatic few weeks with a suspected ectopic one week, spotting the next and my 2yo DS hurting himself and having to be rushed to A&E in the middle of it all. At the last scan at 8 wks all was fine but unfortunately due to all the drama I have been convinced I'm going to miscarry and just really really anxious. All being well I am 10 wks today and just keeping everything crossed until 12 wks!

So glad to hear of some more BFPs! Congrats to all.

Xx

Hello all, still here and no BFP.... Feel a bit fed up with it all now as DS was conceived so quickly. AF due on mothers day. Oh the irony.
Thinking of heading to my friendly commercial shopping centre to invest in mothers day present as I can't get the one I really want.... Anyone else doing a bit of self giving?

Sorry not more chirpy. Gt both sisters coming round with babies on mothers day and I'm cooking for all. Feel both Sad and Envy which just brings on the guilt! Sigh.....

Hugs to all for a bit of spring chicken luck xxx

Oh no fridge that is bad news. Something will turn up though - I was in a similar boat as you a few months ago and things just turned around. I'll keep my fingers crossed things get more positive for you.

My news is that I've got some ewcm today (sorry if tmi!) and I have got awfully excited at the thought of ovulating. I'm a saddo!! DH will be primed and ready tonight Grin

London Thanks. Unfortunately we heard yesterday that funding will not be forthcoming Sad so the future is very uncertain. He will just have to look for any work available but there hasn't been any luck there so far. I am really not sure whether ttc will be a goer now so it's a bit gloomy in the Fridge household today Sad

How did your DH get on with the GP? Any helpful suggestions?

Winter first time might work with luck! Fingers crossed.

Hi to everyone else and hope all is going well.

Welcome back Fridge!!! I'm sorry that you were ill and hope that you are feeling better. What a pain putting off TTC but can understand your reasons. Fingers crossed that your DH gets the funding for re-training.

WinterBest of luck with DTD. And it only takes the once DTD to get pregnant. Best of luck! Keep us posted on your progress.

As for me, I had my scan on Friday and whilst it was uncomfortable it was just about bearable to put up. The sonographer couldn't see any cysts or fibroids and informed that I've just ovulated. I could have told her that! Not going to bother POAS this month (13/14 March) as we just did it once and it wasn't in my fertile week Sad

DH is seeing the GP tomorrow to try and find out whether he can be given anything to help him in that department. We both know that he's suffering from stress and anxiety but we've been trying to do it for the past 9 weeks with little success. Not sure how much longer I can remain being calm, patient and understanding!

Hi to everyone else x

London poas time is around 23rd/24th March I think. I'm not too hopeful as it's our first go but you never know!
Phone app tells me ov will be around next Sat but I have irregular cycles so I'm checking cm. Will be DTD every other day (or more if we are not tired) for the next week or so. How did your scan go?

Bridget glad everything is still going well.

Fridge I understand your frustration. We had to put off ttc cos I had job issues too. It's such a pain. Hope you feel better soon too, and DHs work gets sorted.

Hello all - I was posting on the thread in Jan and am pleased to see so many bfps in the meantime. I was planning to start ttc in Feb/March, but had a couple of setbacks this month; my DH has been waiting to hear about funding to retrain and had a 'no' from the main hope of that, though there is still another route that we are crossing our fingers about. Also, I became quite ill and had a short stay in hospital, and while I went back to work have been slowly recovering since. So I've not been around much as I've either been working or taking naps! Ttc is still officially on hold while I get back in the groove & also while we see if there is any other chance of DH's course being funded. Should know by April.

Bridget I have looked in v quickly from time to time and am really glad the pregnancy is still on course for you. Totally understand your nervousness - do let us know when you get a scan and some reassurance.

London Hope your scan has gone OK today, and fingers crossed that your luck picks up in the DTD department. I can relate to having a run of bad luck in general - it is v frustrating when you just can't get to where you want to be.

Kbaby Glad your wedding went well and that you've got past 12 weeks now!

Congrats to all the recent bfps Smile

Thanks Winter I did buy some OPK and I tested +ve on OPK last night. Problem is that we cannot DTD Angry & Sad

When are you looking to POAS?

LondonSuperTrooper · 01/03/2013 13:03

kbaby I just re-read your message. Thanks for offering to loan me your Clearblue FM, that really is very kind of you. I might take you up on your offer when I get a BFN this month which is looking very likely Sad
How was your NY trip? I hope that you had a fab time. And how come you you can reveal the sex of the baby soon? I am assuming that you are having a private scan? What?s the earliest that you can find out the sex of the baby?

Bridget heeelllllloooooooo! Good to hear from you and I?m pleased that you are well. I know what you mean about mumsnet. I usually just visit the DIY board and not so much the conception board. I hope that the nerves ease soon and you can relax, enjoy & celebrate your pregnancy. My sister is also 8 weeks pregnant. She?s been on sick leave for the last 2.5 weeks as she?s spotting but I?m pleased to say that her baby is fine and is measuring well for its age Smile Its awesome when you can see the heartbeat isn?t it?

Bridget, I?m having the scan to check that my tubes are OK and I have no cysts etc. Not sure why I?m having the internal examination but it could also be related to that.
My biggest problem at the moment is that DH is still having problem performing. I've tried to be understanding but this is now verging on the ridiculous! We missed our chance last month and this month has been the same too. How the heck can I get pregnant when we can?t DTD?!!

Hello, just popping on to wish London lots of luck at the scan today. Are you just having investigations for reassurance? I hope nothing is giving you cause for concern.

I am only 8 weeks so still a while away from my first scan. I'm not on mumsnet much these days - too nervous and not feeling chirpy enough for the antenatal thread but it seems terribly insensitive and ungrateful to come on a ttc thread and moan about how rotten I feel.

Fingers crossed for everyone..

Thanks London - I'm really busy at the minute with DS, work and other commitments so hopefully this will help through the 2ww. Probably not though!
DH said last night "I hope you don't get pregnant too soon cos I'm enjoying this baby making and I know you'll just sleep through the 1st 3 months of pregnancy". I was a bit like Confused but realise he meant it in a sweet horny way, rather than actually wanting it to take a while!

Good luck tomorrow, hope all goes well...and that you can get some OPKs asap x

I'm also having my 21day blood test on Tuesday. Really not sure how that's going to work out as today is CD16 and I still haven't had a +ve OPK!

Kbaby Congratulations to making it past the magical 12 weeks and into your second trimester. LOL at you being violent to the sonographer Grin Luckily I had total sweethearts when I was pregnant with my DS. I hope that you will have a much nicer one when it comes to the 20 week scan.

Bridget When will you be back on here again. You are lurking now and it?d be lovely to have you back :) How many weeks are you now? You must be close to having your 12 week scan soon?

Icing Congratulations on our BFP. Wishing you a enjoyable and stress free pregnancy.

Winter yay for the DTD week. Best of luck and here?s hoping that you will get a BFP. Try not to go crazy (like I usually do) in the 2WW.

Stranded Not really sure what your light bleeding relates to. I?d second what Winter said and do a POAS.

Hello all!
Thought I'd pop a little post on here, need some thoughts/advice potentially... currently have a 10 month old DS and my Hubby and I have been talking about ttc #2, not done that much about it ;) I'm still BF and last month AF came to visit (bit of a shock and she'd not been around for well over a year, but fortunately had some supplies in!) Anyway, 4 weeks later I get some blood, but a teeny, tiny amount - only when I wipe really - this is consitent for 4 days. I have no idea what it is, I am fairly unconvinced I'm pregnant, it's possible but pretty unlikely. Is it a sort of period but odd as I'm BF, or something else!???

any thoughts would be most welcome!
