I hope nobody else has started a May conception thread; April isn't going to be it for me, so onwards and forwards ladies!

So flower, what can you do to pamper yourself whilst your dh has his flu? Nice bubble bath, glass of vino and some choc?

flowertot · 02/05/2006 19:48

If you are ovulating maazaa then get to it girl!! Stick Lost on record and get in some action!
As for me, yes bath and glass wine and magzine I thought. May as well cheer myself up somehow!

coggy · 02/05/2006 20:05

Hurrah for the return of LOST!
I love it and quite understand the draw of watching it over other things (even when ttc sometimes!!)

Maybe there lies the problem......

maazaa · 02/05/2006 20:08

I really cannot be bothered with anything tonight! And I thought it was just the fellas who ran out of energy! DH playing footie 8-10, so very happy with House of Tiny Tearaways, red wine and dips!

coggy · 02/05/2006 20:12

Bugger! Forgot that was on as well!!!
Dh is at work so a great TV night for me...only popped on here for half-an-hour b't'n The Apprentice and some new diety/new body thing starting at 8:30pm.
Tjough that watching this woulkd help me to become more like my desired twiglet-ness but not if I am going to open the red wine that is lurking in the kitchen...
....and no exercises today yet either......

coggy · 02/05/2006 20:13

Thought....and.....would is what I actually meant to say!! Blush

maazaa · 02/05/2006 20:15

Gosh - we must all fit into a personality type! The Apprentice (love! Ruth to win, even though it pains me to say it), House of... (love - despite no kids!), red wine and the fact that you even mention twiglets.....!!!!!!!!! Am no twiglet but LOVE eating them! Am on serious binge mission tonight!

maazaa · 02/05/2006 20:17

cog, when you say exercise, surely you don't mean actual exercise - doesn't fit the type at all! Hope you are implying mattress aerobics or bedercise..... Otherwise, I will have to get fit, to fit in!!!!! Grin

coggy · 02/05/2006 20:18

I agree - Ruth to win!!

I am going to BE a twiglet in 100 days (which is now only 95 days actually) but had friends for tea on Sunday and wine last night and thinking about wine tonight....so looking less and less twiglet-like! My resolve is not as it should be!!
Thought I may as well have a few wines before I get to ov. time and then stop for a couple of weeks.
Is that a bad attitude to have do you think?!

coggy · 02/05/2006 20:20

Well...taking it easy in the excercise department.
Bought dh a stepper thing for Christmas and he does about 30 mins on it (although if it's raining and he can't get out he will do an hour...an HOUR!!!!!!!!)
I can just do 8 minutes before exhaustion takes over.
Suppose I really ought to be doing it while I watch that getting thinner programme and forget the wine instead!!
You'll have to join me in the twiglet zone maazaa!!!

laughalot · 02/05/2006 20:21

Ruth are you lot barking mad she does my box in......... Grin

maazaa · 02/05/2006 20:22

I say "whatever floats your boat"!!! You've got to be happy for the magic egg meets tadpole moment, not stressed and fed up! Think it may affect the genetic process! And someone down the thread said that there is PROVEN research that a little wine in moderation, may improve chances of fertility!I'm sure it works for all those post-party teenage mums that leave my school in Year 11!!

Mind you, House of Tiny...may prove effective contraception - MUCH screaming of toddler types!

coggy · 02/05/2006 20:22

I like the way she can look really red and embarrased and still get away with it.
Also..I would love to have her sales technique - fabby!!
Who do you want to win laughalot?

laughalot · 02/05/2006 20:24

Let me tell you ladies when I found out I was pg with my ds I was in mexico had no clue I was pg I was drinking loads as I was on a all inclusive holiday it never harmed him

maazaa · 02/05/2006 20:24

Hey l-alot! I know what you mean about Ruth. We can't stand her, but I think she is most worthy....Michelle - out of her depth. Ansell - too nice, no grit. Paul - car salesman, sleezy line. Which leaves Ruth. Could sell milk to a dairy, beer to a brewery, etc etc.

laughalot · 02/05/2006 20:25

Well im kind of thinking paul but he is a little moaning s**t at times Grin, I couldnt do the hard sell thing with my clients im a wimp

coggy · 02/05/2006 20:26

Oh I need no persuassion - I have got no will power!!
Stuff the exercise...red wine at mine!!

maazaa · 02/05/2006 20:26

Laughalot - THE PROOF WE NEEDED! Bring on the tequila! Actually, let's not, am shandy lightweight.

maazaa · 02/05/2006 20:27

Think hard salepeople are lacking compassion. Big up the wimps, I say.

Coggy - merlot, cab sav, shiraz?

laughalot · 02/05/2006 20:27

Honestly girls I was drinking loads of cocktails, it was really bad the pg test I bought was in spanish I had to go to reception to get them to read the result.

coggy · 02/05/2006 20:28

What clients do you have laughalot (don't tell me if it's dodgy or a secret!!! Wink
I am the world's worst seller!
I start by saying something like "Well, you could buy this but....." or "I don't suppose you'd like a ...."
I need to go on a course!

maazaa · 02/05/2006 20:28

salespeople sorry

laughalot · 02/05/2006 20:29

Im at that pain in the arse stage cd28 for me had a cd 35 last month

coggy · 02/05/2006 20:29

LOL at your spanish tests!!
Dunno what type maazaa - that it's a bit technical.
It's red and it's in the cupboard - that's all I need to know!!
Tequilla...ooh...baaaaaaaad memories (or actually - lack of them!)

maazaa · 02/05/2006 20:30

I sold double glazing for 3 weeks when I was 16...saving up for holiday to Scarborough! Was made to stand up when not enough leads and resigned on higher moral ground when supervisor wanted me to follow up on lead made with man suffering from Altzeimers, despite his neighbour calling us to let us know he was poorly. Nightmare.
