Hi girls
Been busy at work for last two days which helped take my mind off the fact that I have a scan tomorrow. I'm so scared its silly.
I have my booking in app next week and DH won't come with me either. I'd rather have him on scans.
I'm 6+4 today and that's when I started bleeding last time. Think that's why I'm so anxious.
Will let you all know.
Hope everyone else is feeling ok!
Bloody freezing isn't it?!

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 13/12/2012 18:24

All the best belissima!!! Fingers crossed for you.

Rache1S · 13/12/2012 19:28

Good luck for your scan tomorrow Lol, hope it all goes well and puts your mind at ease.

I also have a scan tomorrow and I'm feeling both excited and nervous. I don't really know why I'm nervous having had a scan where everything was fine only 2.5 weeks ago but I just can't help it. I will have no fingernails left by full term!

Bunnygirlie · 13/12/2012 22:49

Good luck with the scans ladies.

Saw the doc today about my man flu and ended up crying at her, felt like a right plonker, she said that concentrating on one time of the month just puts so much pressure on it. No sh*t sherlock!

Thinking of youBLol and Rache Hoping it's all wonderful news. xx

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 13/12/2012 23:32

All the best rache!!

BraveLilBear · 14/12/2012 09:21

Hey y'all fx for scans today Blol and Rache, am sure they'll go great.

Afm, I'm waiting to see gp today. A huge boil/cyst/abscess has appeared near my unmentionables and I'm in agony. Totally ridiculous and humiliating and I'm scared stiff for little bean trying to grow while my body is all systems go trying to fight the infection.

Hope you feel better soon bunny.

Quodlibet · 14/12/2012 10:42

Brave OW! Poor you.

Good luck Rach and Blol today.

BelissimaLol · 14/12/2012 12:00

We have a heartbeat GrinGrin
They measured me 6+2 rather than 6+5 which is annoying as I think is slow enough as it is! I'm so relieved!

Quodlibet · 14/12/2012 12:13

Aaaah great stuff Blol! From what I gather the size of embryos can differ a lot at this stage. Have you seen this resource? It's a bit medical but I am using it to keep track of where I am supposed to be at as all those apps/sites that say 'your baby is as big as an olive' or whatever seem to disagree with each other. The Carnegie stage thing seems to say that embryos reach different stages/sizes with a few days leeway so I don't think 'dating' is as precise as they make it out to be!

Quodlibet · 14/12/2012 12:23

Or this link shows all the stages. The numbers are DPO not since LMP. I am quite surprised - I have reached day 60 today and honestly can't believe there is something 5mm big in there!!!

BraveLilBear · 14/12/2012 13:00

Newsflash: just an infected hair follicle! So relieved! On penicillin which is bean safe and doc was reassuring and sympathetic.

Fantastic news Blol! So pleased for you!

Rache1S · 14/12/2012 17:21

All is well on the 12 week scan and it appears DH and I are having a baby! Xmas Grin Such a relief! I got adjusted (again) to 12+2, which means we conceived on Wed 3rd Oct not Fri 5th as was previously told (important info for you ladies TTC using OV tests). LH surge was on Tues 2nd so not the huge 4 day gap as I had previously thought!

So glad your scan was good news Lol. It's a shame we can't both celebrate with a Wine tonight.

BelissimaLol · 14/12/2012 18:05

Excellent news!
I'm baffled with conception date as well. According to these new measures I conceived on wed after a smiley on sat. Had a shag Friday and Saturday only and thought I'd ovd on sun.

HazleNutt · 14/12/2012 18:13

Excellent news Rach!

I am visiting my parents this weekend, so just told them, put the scan pic in the card and asked that they open it together. They were staring at it for quite a while before they figured out what it was. Grin Then there was of course crying. And champagne.

navis176 · 14/12/2012 18:35

Apologies for thread silence ? had an endless cycle of parties and hangovers (bad potential pregnant person ? how much are you supposed to be allowed to drink in 2ww??), but now finally have a chance to catch up?

Boo to the witch aquarius

Zombie ? like the facts and figures ? makes me determined to stick it out till thurs to POAS

Captain ? good news about your doc

Lol and Rache ? massive congrats! Xmas Smile

MeanMrsMustard 31 - ttc 2 cycles - AF due 18th/19th Dec
Twinklestar2, 33, ttc month 16, BFP due 19th Dec
Zombies, 32, ttc 3 cycles, PCOS. Next POAS not before 20 December, if can hold out that long
Navis, 35, ttc 2 cycles. POAS 20 December
Bunny, 32, this is TTC month 7, AF due 31st Dec, it's DTD week!
Captain, 32, TTC 16/17 cycles, on pause until dermoid cyst is removed.
Aquarius, 31, ttc a while (going to ignore how many months) next POAS early jan

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 14/12/2012 18:47

Just realised that even though it's been 3 cycles, it's been more than 4 months trying because of the length of my cycle :(
And also realised that winning this bullsye is all a game of blind man's poker (mixing a metaphor?) given the dates at which your scans are revealing what you thought and what happened re timing. You just keep throwing those darts and maybe sometime you might get lucky.

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 14/12/2012 18:48

bullseye

captainmoll · 14/12/2012 20:06

Hurray hurrah for good scan news Rache and BLol! GrinGrinGrin
Now Fx for all you dtd/2ww ladies.. Swim, little spermies, swim!

Rache1S · 14/12/2012 22:04

Lol I asked the Sonographer why my date had changed by 2 days in only 2.5 weeks and she said that now is a more accurate time to measure the CRL than earlier in the trimester. I'm sure it's all guesswork really and given that babies rarely arrive on their due date they are never held to account for getting it wrong!

Aww, that's lovely Hazle. I feel emotional just thinking about your parents' reaction (bloody hormones!)

Navis you are allowed to drink whatever the hell you like on the 2WW because it's already tough enough without denying yourself one of life's pleasures! I took the attitude that it was business as usual until I got the two lines on the stick. The weekend before my BFP I got completely plastered quite merry on the Friday and Saturday nights and then spent most of Sunday hungover and dragging myself between a jacuzzi and a sauna. Not exactly the way I had envisaged getting my pregnancy underway Xmas Blush

Bunnygirlie · 14/12/2012 23:17

Evening all! Still feeling crappy here which isn't helping DTD week :-( Managed it on CD13 but nothing since, hoping for a weekend CD17 morning shag tomorrow so another month of not holding out much hope Hmm haven't bothered with ov sticks this month either as it puts so much pressure on, hubby can't take the pressure as it is.

Saw my friend tonight who is due on weds, had a good old natter and told her we were TTC, it was nice to tell a friend and chat with her about it, felt like a right twonk though when I started crying and getting all shaky Sad

Bunnygirlie · 15/12/2012 10:24

I want to give up now, it's too hard

OP posts:
ChristmAquarius1 · 15/12/2012 11:13

Hi bunny don't feel silly for crying in your friend - that's what they're for& it's totally normal. It is so hard ttc - because we can't control it & we beat ourselves about it when it doesn't happen& it seems so unfair. I'm gonna try and put it away over Xmas and enjoy the few days off without thinking too much about it no doubt with the help of plenty of Xmas drinks
