Good morning ladies! How are we all doing?

I am 10+3 here with not much to report, which after last weekend is a good place to be Grin I do now seem to have one boob bigger than the other though Confused

I am most excited for you 2WWers. What a lovely time of year to get a BFP Xmas Grin

BraveLilBear · 03/12/2012 10:31

Morning all,

Hope you've all had a fun-filled shagging weekend! Sending lots of happy positive thoughts to the 2wwers Xmas Smile

My weekend was entertaining - really struggled with ms Friday and Saturday, and have decided that the biggest challenge I have ever faced is dealing with the biggest pile of vomit from 10yo DSS in the middle of the night on Friday. With morning sickness.

OH was utterly useless, retching more than me, so I had to send him off to look after DSS while I changed entire bed - it went through overblanket, duvet, over-sheet fleece blanket AND sheet, all over the floor. It smelled of strawberry cupcakes.

God knows how but I went into the zone and dealt with it. Not fun!

Had lots of cramping Sunday, seemingly getting stronger, intertwined with jabby stabby pains (mostly on ov side). Have been worrying a bit, but trying to stay positive. No blood. So has to be good right?

HazleNutt · 03/12/2012 10:32

11+3 and not much either, was quite nauseous over the weekend but ginger seems to help (I just cut a piece from the root and chew on that).

Scan on Thursday. Worried, of course and imagining all kinds of things.

Rache1S · 03/12/2012 11:49

Brave I'm sure you will look back on incidents like that and find them hilarious in the future when your MS has passed. I had one last week while cleaning up dog mess. I couldn't get inside fast enough so I was sick in the garden and the puppy ate it before I had chance to stop him. The sight of this made me sick again. Very lady-like, I hope the neighbours didn't see!

I think cramping and pains are normal and most of the PG ladies on here seem to have had them. Unless they are severe I would try not to worry which I know is easier said then done but you can always phone your Midwife or NHS Direct if you are worried. If there is no blood I would definitely see that as a good sign Xmas Smile

Hazle Do you think you will stop worrying after your scan? After having one last week I managed to stop worrying for a whole 24 hours before it returned. My Sister is 22 weeks and still worrying. If you've already seen the heartbeat then statistics are very much on your side so everything is bound to be fine and you'll get to see your little one waving at you on Thursday Xmas Grin

Quodlibet · 03/12/2012 12:17

Oh my god Rach and Brave those MS stories should come with a warning ! I am 9 weeks today and nausea isn't bothering me much at all at the moment (although it always seems to be worse on Mondays which is when I have a long commute and 3 hr teaching session, I think the exertation makes it worse) My mum joked that this lack of MS must mean it's twin boys. NOT FUNNY - I have no idea how we would cope with more than one.

I did a bit of research and found that only 50% of women actually get significant MS, so that's making me worry less about not having any. Still 3 weeks til my scan but the weeks seem to be going past in a blur at the moment.

HazleNutt · 03/12/2012 12:42

Rach oh I'm sure we won't stop worrying, ever. I'm 34 and my parents still worry Grin

BraveLilBear · 03/12/2012 12:47

Oh Rache! What a nightmare! Really feel for you. Was at a farmer's market yesterday and saw steam coming up from a verge. Twas a freshly laid, green bogey coloured dog poo. The sight was bad enough but then the smell hit and I had tears in my eyes as I quickly steered OH down a different aisle. We couldn't stay as long as normal because all the smells of the fresh meat and the cooking buffalo, venison and ostrich were mingling and not in a good way.

Sorry Quod Xmas Wink

Still haven't barfed yet. Bonus. Grin

Hazle I've got everything crossed for your scan on Thursday - I'm sure all will be well, but totally understand the worry. Fx you can relax a bit til then.

captainmoll · 03/12/2012 13:04

I feel sick now, having just read this thread..

Waiting for AF to pack up and sod off now. I only get 2.5 days of her anyway, which I've always been quite pleased about, but now I'm wondering if this is another clue to something being wrong. Are short periods bad?

Bought myself B complex + folic acid vitamin supply yesterday and a zinc + Vit C one for DH. This TTC lark is starting to get kinda pricey, with all the different pee sticks, special lube, digital thermometer etc etc.. I had no idea on starting out that we would need so much equipment!

FX for all scans and 2WWs going on.. excited to hear the good news that will result!

BelissimaLol · 03/12/2012 13:14

Well I had my first doc app this morning and doc said I look anxious (no shit!). I'm having some ovary pain so she referred me to EPU. I'm having a scan at 3pm. I'm absolutely shitting myself. Suppose its better to get checked out now.

HazleNutt · 03/12/2012 13:23

Fx for youlol!

BraveLilBear · 03/12/2012 13:59

Sorry for the vomit induction Captain!

I think 2.5 days AF visit is a good thing but I'm no expert. My AF's usually last about that - 1.5 heavy, a day normal, then half a day/a day of sludge. Never usually more than four days and I can make a pack of towels last two periods on average.

If you're worried, ask your doc.

And yup - it is expensive! And only a pre-cursor to the wiggler arriving, too! Worth every penny though, I'm sure...

winkle2 · 03/12/2012 14:16

Eurgh those stories are making me barf!!

Lol - good luck and keep us posted.

HazleNutt · 03/12/2012 17:06

So, pregnant Elderberries, let's see who manages to give birth on the same day the Royal baby is born - according to the news Kate is not 12 weeks yet either.

Lol, are you back? everything ok?

happylass · 03/12/2012 17:12

Hazle I was just wondering if Kate is one of our Elderberries. She's in hospital with MS and there had been a lot of talk of that on here lately. Hmm Hmm

BelissimaLol · 03/12/2012 17:16

Hi girls. I'm back. Had the scan and saw the sac and fetal pole. It's not much but it's a start, and its not ectopic. I'm beyond relieved. They booked me for another scan in ten days to see how pg is progressing which is nice. Thank you so much fur your concern.
Yeah I'm shocked about Kate too! Is it not unusual to announce before 12 weeks? Especially so high profile!?

BraveLilBear · 03/12/2012 17:30

Hey BLol that's great news! Must be a huge relief to see everything where it should be. And another scan in 10 days to check how things are going.

I'm very excited for Kate and Wills. Weirdly, embarrassingly so. It is unusual, but guess their hand was forced by being hospitalised for HG, plus she's probably had to cancel some engagements.

Her performance last Friday at the prep school which was always impressive - playing hockey in high heels - is now nigh-on heroic given that she was pg and suffering enormously.

I hope Kate and baby are healthy - I think the weird upside to being high-profile is that they're guaranteed enormous amount of support from the public, no matter what happens. Plus it'd be safe to assume they'd have already seen a heartbeat - can't see them fretting about £80 for a reassurance scan!

Rache1S · 03/12/2012 17:38

Bloody royal thunder stealers!!! Smile I am already in the shadow of my tall slim friend who is due 2 weeks before me and now I have tall slim Kate rubbing my nose in it as well! It's absolutely guaranteed that they will both have perfect bumps, put no weight on anywhere other then their bumps and look totally gorgeous throughout. I, on the other hand, am short and already resemble a barrel. There is no justice in this life sometimes Grin

Really glad everything is ok BLol Grin

HazleNutt · 03/12/2012 18:07

oh glad to hear all is fine Blol!

Good point Happy - so, fess up, who is Kate?

BelissimaLol · 03/12/2012 18:16

I was thinking that! She must need a bit of normality and mn is perfect for that!
Go on then. Fess up! We won't tell anyone you are here with us Grin
Thanks for the lovely messages. I feel miles better and hugely relieved its not ectopic. Now I need to get through next 10 days and keep my sanity.
I hope people are not feeling down with the royal pg announcement!

Bunnygirlie · 03/12/2012 18:57

Good to hear all ok Blol!

Have to admit I feel a tad blue, but it might be the fact that I gave blood today!

CD5 here, AF has left the building I think so its all about the wait for OV and DTD week! Building work nearly done now so hopefully we'll be less stressed and hubby will be up for it! We have taken a few days off work aswell so keep everything crossed!!!

Any other suggestions for helping us on our way? I'm drinking lots of water, drinking organic milk, eating nuts, fish and eggs, using concieve plus and ov sticks.....

Pipbin · 03/12/2012 20:45

Excited , and slightly sad about Kate too (aside from being a short dumpy Kate, rather than a tall slim Kate myself).
We started trying the day before the wedding, so I guess we have been trying just as long as them.
They said on the news that of course they normally wouldn't have said anything at this point but there would be too much press and speculation so it was just easier to say.
Yes it is unusual but I guess they will have had a scan and be fairly sure everything is OK.

HazleNutt · 03/12/2012 21:09

janey I have your disappearing symptoms now - suddenly breasts not sore and swollen any more, just like that. As we've seen, might not mean that nothing is wrong and google also claims it's normal, but would still want to have that scan already..

winkle2 · 03/12/2012 21:36

I'm sad about Kate. They got married the same time as us and we're stil waiting. Cried on the way home and then again when I got in :(

Bunnygirlie · 03/12/2012 22:21

Oh Winkle, this waiting game is horrid isn't it Sad
