Just Shagging - JSers roll up for fred 12

Kittenkatzen · 01/11/2012 14:03

Oh, the other fred filled up all of a sudden! Oh well here's a new one....(horse feel free to replace if you want to be fred starter, just didn't want everyone in limbo!)

Fred rules;

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share Wine and Brew with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.
Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.
Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce in other posters).
Viroid = This is you, dear poster. The reason for this is a closely guarded secret, known only to....er....well, nobody as far as we can tell!
POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit).
Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.
Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Ho bloody shitting ho for a Xmas bfp then :-/. Dtd Friday night very late and this morning (about an hour ago ) do I continue to Dtd EOD? I've told DP same time tomorrow. Lol. Am perplexed about lack of anything ov related tho :-/

frogchops · 02/12/2012 08:34

Aren't these bloody contraband sticks bloody confusing. Altho so far they are teaching me a thing or two. Things just ain't happenin when I thought they were. And if u were to judge by the normal cm signs etc, I wouldn't have even started a marathon yet!! Come on body.... Just play the game!!
What's everyone up to today? Anyone got snow?

AndieMatrix · 02/12/2012 09:10

That's why they're contraband!lol. Think positive Frog you might have caught it. From what I've read, not every cycle is the same and CM may not always be obvious. Partly why I decided to screw charting, my cycles are mental so by the time I'd noticed a pattern I'd be an old lady.lol
No snow here but lots of frost. DP is just back from a night shift in -4.

MrsBri · 02/12/2012 09:15

Frog, I used OPKs the month I got pregnant, but to tell me when I could STOP DTD, not start!

Your best best is regular sex from the end of ERTD until after OV.

What CD are you? It may have been a surge without OV. You can get more than one surge a month.

frogchops · 02/12/2012 09:38

Oh can you really? Oh lord this gets worse, lol. See I don't usually have wtf cycles, and cm is usually always really obvious. I'm on cd 14 today so I know its due, just didnt think it'd be over by now!! I'm crap at this, lol. Last month there was very obvious ov pain too. I just don't feel like its happened yet. I'm clearly wrong! Boooo!

MrsBri · 02/12/2012 10:27

You're only on your second cycle after coming off the pill. Your body is still adjusting to not having the pill hormones in its system. You CANNOT predict your non-pill cycles by using your pill cycles for reference, as a pill cycle is fake and manufactured by the pill.

My non-pill cycles were 28, 26, 32 and 30 days. The first 2 I don't think I even ovulated (thanks to the injection still being in my system). My fifth cycle was probably a 30 day, but I got pregnant. Funnily enough, it was the cycle I relaxed more and just had LOTS of sex where I got pregnant. My booziest month too for one reason or another! :-)

My advice is to relax, but if you must use OPKs and the like, make sure you're well informed about ovulation and conception in general. I read up on everything when I started as I like to know what to expect. I think you should too, so you see just how complicated this is!

Hooya · 02/12/2012 10:28

everyone for talking about the sticks and temps and other banned items - just shagging, remember!

frog if it helps I have never had any clue about ov, no signs that I could tell, and I have been pg once!

Every other day is the best you can do under the circumstances, I think!

We're still enjoying daily shagging but Blush it is taking both of us a bit longer to, um, finish these days...

DingDongBelle · 02/12/2012 13:50

At the end of the day, having lots of sex and hanging around with your bum on a pillow after like a loon is the only way you get duffed, if it is going to happen without fancy science bits. All the other stuff (opk's temps etc) is just for your curiosity really. I liked knowing it all last time when I ttc ds but I can't be bothered this time around and haven't even bought a thermometer :) Seems I really am just shagging (once old witchy pants had gone off to bother someone else, that is).

Have put DH in charge of knocking me up. He loves a shag project
, so have instructed him to get on with it, every other day, and I will let him know when I have a stripy piss stick piece of good news. Come on Christmas diffing :)

AndIfATenTonTruck · 02/12/2012 16:15

Hi all, been at home to the witch this week but hopefully good to get back on the mission tonight or tomorrow. I have an app to track dates, and some sticks to pee on (both pg and contraband opk). Will use for purpose of knowing when to stop, not to phone and drag husband home from work or anything crazy like that!

Was out last night at a party and thoroughly ruined self. Have spent today on the sofa and have not at all been mocked by DH. Think he knows I am having last hurrahs... And we are not drinking at all on normal nights at home so overall am being good avoids obvious charge of bingeing at parties ahem.

So, it'll be Christmas testing for me. Who else at that time - Ding? Are we cycle buddies?!?

zen1980 · 02/12/2012 19:03

Hi everyone hope you have all had a good weekend. We have Christmassed our house up today and it is lovely how excited my gorgeous girl is getting! still no ertd for me an one day late have tested an bfn which is not surprising as last month we seemed to dtd lots at the wrong time! i have no feelibg af is due an boobs still killing so think this month is another mess for me Hmm

cookielove · 02/12/2012 19:53

Ok i have a stooopid question to ask, but i have to know the answer and if i can't ask here where can i ask?

Ok so erm, has anyone ever conceived when shagging on top? Cause really the best position is the bottom Blush

also what does DTD mean?

and

also ETRD?

AndieMatrix · 02/12/2012 20:59

Cookie There is no best position. As long as swimmers go in the right hole you've got a chance. There's some research that reckons deeper penetration closer to ov will conceive a boy as make swimmers are fast but lack stamina but there's still questions over that. DTD = doing the deed.

Anyone watching XFactor? I can't believe the British public sometimes.

notsoold · 02/12/2012 23:29

X factor was unbelievable!!! What were they thinking???
I am unbelievably stressed about this wait and goong to piars in the morning with the fmu and if it says positive I will try to believe it and it negative I have to go for a internal investigation ( as nothing shows on scan) why I am bleeding so heavily during my periods..

Hope it is positive..

Happy jsing...

wavesandsmiles · 03/12/2012 09:01

How did the PIARing go this morning notso?

For those wondering about contraband items (tut tut), I can say that I got upduffed on a month with relatively little JSing, and a horrible bout of flu. As a result, we did not remotely stress about anything, as we were both convinced that we hadn't DTD enough. As it was, we clearly did. Maybe it was the lunchtime quickies during my super busy/stressful time at work? I genuinely think though that the more you stress about these things, the harder it is to get upduffed, which is something of a contradiction, but I am sure there are some sciency type things which say the same about stress, and why, like happened with mrs Bri, a few drinks can help as they reduce the stress. Maybe....

I'm off for my GP appt this morning and hoping I don't have to wait ages for my midwife booking in.

GaryBuseysTeeth · 03/12/2012 09:06

Hope everyone had a great weekend?

notso....can I congratulate you? I hope it's a BFP this morning.

Can I everyone for watching the Xfactor? Wink

Good luck at the GP's waves, I'm waiting until I get a 3+ on a digital to book scan/Dr appointments!

notsoold · 03/12/2012 09:43

Hi everybody !!!
POAS this morning using FMU a frer test was faint positive and a poundland test (20 miu) was faint positive as well.
ERTD is due tomorrow and "do I dare to believe it???"
Those were my words mumbling to myself in my own language... DH looked up from his gigantic bowl of cereal (no dieting for him!) and said, believe what?
Showed him the tests and got a lecture about, reading the instructions regarding quantities of hcg and or presence of the hormone, about pessimism, and how happiness is to be grabbed daily, and then he said "today, you are pregnant and we wait for this babba" (totally freaked my out...sounded like Mumsnet jargon (or lingo..)
No other symptoms but that is why we opted for Jsing anyway...and I haven't got spots (I get those before ERTD)
So today I am pregnant...and today I love my old ,decrepit DH for being so sensible....
Thanks gary

wavesandsmiles · 03/12/2012 09:54

So happy for you notso, your DH sounds fabulous! If it is any consolation, my main symptom was the lack of spots too Blush although now I have feelings of nausea (fun, fun, fun).

notsoold · 03/12/2012 10:00

waves fabulous he is, since he bagged me :) ... but the whole process seems to be different for men ...
Here I am worrying if my eggs are too old (I am 41) if my womb had enough and is on strike and DH is sure that his little swimmers are absolutely the best thing ever!!! Not a doubt!!!
It is incredible but I am looking forward to the nausea (I had with DC2 and a bit with DC1) to believe that this will be a sticky bean...
How are you coping??? Does ginger help you, at all???

wavesandsmiles · 03/12/2012 12:50

Hi notso and I must confess I am seeing the nausea as a good sign. Ginger is no help whatsoever, but I am avoiding citrus and have also noticed that tea is making me feel a bit bleurgh so onto decaff coffee at the moment. other than that, just trying to eat tiny bits very often seems to help a bit.

notsoold · 03/12/2012 14:38

I am glad for you waves ... it is incredible how the desire to have a babba makes us stare into knickers, check body fluids, be happy with CM, etc...
weird!!!

It is quiet here today!!! Is everyone happy (or tired ) from weekend jsing???

countrybumpkin2 · 03/12/2012 15:14

Yay for you notso! Congrats!

Yes Gary please feel free to anyone watching X Factor. Hate that programme now!

Me and DH made up from our fight and did manage to get in some quality JSing over the weekend. Don't think we have manageed it at the right time though. Doesn't stop me wondereing if this constant sicky feeling, sore head and sore boobs are all pregnancy symptoms! need a slap AF not due for another 10 days!

frogchops · 03/12/2012 16:31

Fluffin, shittin, wanking hell, if bloody Kate shagging cocking Middleton can get up friggin duffed then why is it so difficult for the rest of us?? Rant over.

GaryBuseysTeeth · 03/12/2012 17:09

Dunno frog, but nine months of ttc, a chemical pg and a miscarriage last month & I wanted to punch Peaches Geldof for getting pregnant before I got my sticky baby. The cah.

Yay! So pleased for you notso.

Hurrah for JS countryb! for symptom spotting!

Bearface · 03/12/2012 17:13

Hello All,

Congrats notso!Smile

Well, I am with you there, Frog about KM - for me it was a 'and to top it all off' moment. FFS.

I went to the docs today and as previously mentioned told her that I'd had the 11 day period from hell, and that this was the second time it had happened. She shrugged at me, looked at her computer and said 'Well, you know, you are 33 and you need to get a move on.' I nearly screamed in her face except years of teaching means I am extremely well controlled and then she said that we need to go for tests ASAP 'because you do not have much time and you need to check if there are any problems'. So much for JSing.

I've got to go for blood tests now on days 2/3 and 21 of my cycle; 21 happens to be this Saturday when I am supposed to be in London with my friends having a fun Christmas trip, although I may be able to tag on later. DH has to get his man juice tested too.

I'm veering between being really Xmas Angry at the way she spoke to me and really panicked. She wasn't in the least bit reassuring or sensitive. She had the bedside manner of an old sock. Bloody hell.

MrsBri · 03/12/2012 18:10

Frog, if they've been trying since the wedding, that's almost 2 years. We have no idea of the background or if she's had any issues up to now. You're only on month 2! Give the poor girl a break.

Nice sensitive GP you have there, Bearface :-/ At least you're getting tested though.

I've not tried ginger for MS, notso. I find that constant snacking keeps nausea / sickness away. Potentially not the best remedy though!
