Just Shagging - JSers roll up for fred 12

Kittenkatzen · 01/11/2012 14:03

Oh, the other fred filled up all of a sudden! Oh well here's a new one....(horse feel free to replace if you want to be fred starter, just didn't want everyone in limbo!)

Fred rules;

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share Wine and Brew with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo;

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.
Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.
Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce in other posters).
Viroid = This is you, dear poster. The reason for this is a closely guarded secret, known only to....er....well, nobody as far as we can tell!
POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit).
Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.
Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Ah bunfight over. I'm safe Smile

Possibly this is the beginning of the witch?

So: who else is peeing with me on Tues if she stays away?

Redshoes56 · 25/11/2012 16:35

You know you are only allowed to stir things up over here, ding Grin

I will pee on contraband OPKs something innocuous to show my support for all the ladies-in-waiting, as I'm at CD19 with no sign of ovulation.

AndIfATenTonTruck · 25/11/2012 18:22

I am peeing on Tues, ding! Grin and I told DH about being on day 32 today and he grinned although he says he assumed we would get upduffed quickly because of the Shock experience of the first time. However I also just had a throbbing boob for a moment, which has made me grin a bit more. It will take a bit of self control to stay off the stick until tues ...

DingDongBelle · 25/11/2012 19:21

Ahh me too! I'm hanging in there for my boots! step away from the FRER ding

If I get a bfn this month, and I get the boots, what do I bribe myself with next month when my ic's get here? New bag? Am going to have to get duffed pretty soon or this is going to cost a fortune!! Grin

LadyFlumpalot · 25/11/2012 20:32

Well, I have no idea if the bleeding after a miscarriage counts as a period? If it does, then I managed to have my wicked way 4 times during my usual ovulation days (no smiley sticks here, but I sometimes get pains, so I usually assume I ovulate around that time each month). I'm gunna be crap at not symptom spotting as with DS and recent MC, I knew I was upduffed about 3 days after conception! Going to bed with A cups and waking up with frigging painful C cups kinda gave it away. Grin

frogchops · 25/11/2012 20:33

Needed to share that I've just been to our friends house for dinner, and my DP (while I wasn't in the room) told his friend that hopefully bfp won't be long for us.... For anyone that knows how hard we found this at the beginning of TTC....this is HUGE. Im really chuffed!!

cookielove · 25/11/2012 21:13

Ok, just caught up sorry i posted and ran, have been uber busy this week have not had the chance to sit down let alone be with DH, so no progress, also have Af at the mo, so wouldn't be doing it anyway.

Af has deserted me yay so will back to it in no time Grin all though now he is all injured so most likely not grrr

Bearface why do i need a cape??

DingDongBelle · 25/11/2012 21:53

Frog!!! This is BIG NEWS! Squeee :)

frogchops · 25/11/2012 21:59

Not like, amazing life changingly brilliant news....but made me happy. Kinda brings us a bit closer I think. looks for cape ready to reward him for his achievement ;)

Redshoes56 · 26/11/2012 02:07

Big Smile, frog! That's awesome.

DingDongBelle · 26/11/2012 08:02

Caved and poas. FRER: bfn. No boots for me :)

Have informed DH we'll be doing it eod for the whole of Dec or he's not getting any Christmas presents. Grin

Christmas is the preferred teacher-upduffing month so come on ertd let's be getting on with it :)

GaryBuseysTeeth · 26/11/2012 09:09

BFP. Darker than any of the sticks I did on the mc cycle, still not going to be excited until I'm holding a baby.

I caved & peed early, but so did Ding, your symptoms sound good, so maybe it's just too early?
TenTon, hope for good news tomorrow morning!

Frog, eeepp!!

Lady, I counted the first day of mc bleeding as CD1 & had the same(ish) ov day, so fingers crossed it's the same for you.

Cookie, hurrah for AF going away, shagcape is what you wear when you're, well, shagging. I have no idea why.

frogchops · 26/11/2012 09:30

Arrrggghhhh Gary, horse whoever you are! How friggin exciting!! Mega fx for a sticky bean!!

AndieMatrix · 26/11/2012 10:01

FX for you GBT Grin

Frog Sounds like your DP is waking up to the knowledge that he is actually trying to make a baby.lol. All good!

Ding Maybe it was too early? Instead of the boots maybe some consolation slippers? Grin

Weekend of JSing for me. Also had a tattoo and a drink, hoping doing forbidden things have tempte fate and magically caused conception....maybe.

Bearface · 26/11/2012 10:46

Gary - how exciting! Massive Smile for you.

Frog - awww that's awesome - I'm really pleased he's come round and is excited.

Waves - do stay! Glad you had fun with Pat. Sounds marvellous. You're right that this is a very friendly fred and I do like it here. I've looked at some others and no, no, no. Ding - I ridiculously managed to start a bun fight about entering a competition. Sometimes I think people on other freds can be very rude or aggressive in their tone without even realising and then sometimes deliberately too. Hmm Much prefer it here where it's warm and snuggly.

Ding - sorry about the BFN. Christmas boots maybe?

Cookie - I know Gary already said about the shag cape, but I like to think of it as having a super-hero quality! Maybe when you put it on you become a different version of yourself - a more sexed up one! Lol.

TenTon - everyone around you has caved! Have you tested yet or are you waiting til tomorrow? FX for you.

Lady - lots of luck for this month.

Well, I am on day 9 of ERTD and I am worried there is something wrong with me. Had a look back through my phone calendar for ERTD dates yesterday and found that since June they have all been at least 8 days long, sometimes 9. I probably didn't notice before because I wasn't JSing so seriously. My cycle was always 7 days when I was on the pill and I've been on it since I was 19 (came off last August). I had one in March this year which was 11 days which could have been a chemical pg I guess now looking back, but I didn't know they existed then. I remember though when I was in my teens that they were really irregular in length but turned up every month without fail.

Anyway, maybe there isn't anything wrong, but think I am going to mention it when I next go to the doctors for something else, although I'm not sure I want to poked about and investigated. I think this is probably 'normal' for me, but I'm not medics will see it that way, but then I don't want it to be unknowingly affecting my fertility, so guess I'd better mention it. I just assumed that it would take a while for my periods to settle down after coming off the pill. What do you guys think? Sorry for the length of this post and realise I might sound like a real worry wart, but I'm not sure what is considered 'normal' and I don't want to go near Google after last time. Any help much appreicated. xx

Bearface · 26/11/2012 10:47

Eek - sorry for all the typos! Grin

AndIfATenTonTruck · 26/11/2012 11:29

Grin did not cave! am i really the only one left preg (as opposed to ov) testing on tues ?? Would it wind you all up if I didn't poas tomorrow either?!!

tiny boob twinge this morning but my bra might just have been sitting funny.

I have one other odd thing though... normally just before my period I cry at anything - honestly I could cry at a page of share prices, anything no matter how bland. But today I read a genuinely sad story about the baby son of a BBC Arabic channel man, and barely flickered. WTF's going on with that then?

congrats frog, I definitely see that as a big deal. Keep up the good comms with DH throughout the journey, it'll help you in ways you can't even imagine now.

YAY FOR GARY too!

AndIfATenTonTruck · 26/11/2012 11:31

ps don't search for that story, it's horrible.

Hooya · 26/11/2012 13:39

Hoooorse yippee for pg so soon after mc! Brilliant news, everything crossed for you it sticks!

Frog that is lovely news re the progress of MrFrog Smile

Bear hopefully it's not a prob having a long ERTD, comparing to pill periods doesn't really matter as they are not proper periods anyway, so maybe this cycle length is just normal for you? Annoying though, it's a long time!

Ding sorry about bfn, good luck for next month!

Tenton I hate testing so I will encourage you to wait! Though I do enjoy living vicariously through other posters Smile

Should be around ov for me soon so daily shagging in the hooya household... getting a bit tired but otherwise lovely Grin

wavesandsmiles · 26/11/2012 14:50

Gary/Horse huge CONGRATS on the BFP - fx for a sticky one!

Hope the BFNs just turn out to be "a bit too early BFPs"... And frog I am sooo happy to hear the progress with DP Smile

Well, my train has now well and truly arrived in vomit-ville. Not so much fun but I keep reminding myself that I won't feel like this forever. Really ought to get on and make a GP appointment and get myself into the system but kind of enjoying the magoc of just DH and I (and all the JSers Wink) knowing our news. I'm still looking forward to hearing tomorrow mornings POAS news Smile

frogchops · 26/11/2012 15:34

Just chuckled at 'mr frog'. Funny because he hates frogs. He's scared to death of them!

DingDongBelle · 26/11/2012 19:44

Waves there is lots you can do to make the sickness ease. I'm an expert in this as I had hyperemesis in my last pregnancy and got lots of advice from the hospital and everyone else I know waving ginger biscuits at me Smile

Iron makes it worse so stay off red meat etc for a few days. Likewise citrus fruit/juice, and being dehydrated. Ice lollies helped me lots, as they were sweet but also cooling. Some pregnancy sickness is linked to motion sickness so a lay down can help any excuse Good luck, I remember the misery well Sad

GaryBusey yay for nice dark bfp. I'm glad if there was one bfp to go around today that it went to you Grin. I'll have mine at Christmas please Smile

Dh took the bfn well. He has proposed more shagging as a solution. I really, really want to fall in dec so I might (whisper it) temp chart this month only to see if we can hit bullseye... Naughty js-er Grin

DingDongBelle · 26/11/2012 19:48

Ps I might combine all the suggestions and go for Christmas Slippers?

pack of Internet cheapies on the way Smile

Redshoes56 · 27/11/2012 05:35

I missed so much today! Hooray for GaryBusey - what amazing news. I agree, if there had to be one BFP today, glad you got it. Hope it rubs off on the rest of us.

Had a shit day today. Found out that a wonderful, sweet woman I sing with in community choir was in a horrific car accident this weekend. Her husband did not survive. She and her eldest teenage sons underwent surgery for severe brain injuries. Their condition at this point is unknown, and it seems neither is aware of what's happened. Her younger teenage son had surgery for abdominal injuries. Fortunately, no brain trauma, but unfortunately, that means he has full recollection of the accident and is aware of his dad's death and his mom's and brother's conditions. I am just heartbroken for them all.

I could really use more positive news. So, fingers crossed for the Tuesday Tinklers. Will check on you all tomorrow. In the meantime, I am trying to clear my mind and think I am finally ovulating, so it is off to the bedroom....

Redshoes56 · 27/11/2012 05:38

She and her eldest teenage son, not sons...
