Hi ladies,

For those of us out of the July game there are not many places to hide so I thought I'd start a new August thread to give us all some positive vibes!

Cycle 3 - BFP August 6th

OP posts:
HariboHeaven · 13/07/2012 18:11

Hi frustrated. I have tried POAS and got a positive (not that that means anything) a couple of cycles ago and that is when I discovered that the day of (possible) ovulation and the following 5 days I have incredibly sore nipples (sorry TMI). I also discovered that cycle that I have a 16 day LP. Since then I haven't had a positive pee stick but still get the sore boobs followed by AF 16 days later. I also get a lot of EWCM so I think I ovulate, just at ridiculously random times Confused

Anyhoooooo I'm bored of listening to myself moan now, so I will stop! Have your cycles returned to normal post coil removal?

frustratedpants · 13/07/2012 18:23

I think they are normal. Had 2 AF, and cycle seems the right length (didn't AF at all on coil)I deffinately O last month (get mittelschmerz), but only started POAS this cycle. Never had sore nipples during cycle.

HariboHeaven · 13/07/2012 18:32

Well I hope your stay on the ttc boards is short, I have a feeling I'm in for the long haul!! That is great that they have returned to normal quickly. I truly hope that everyone on this thread gets their BFP in August.

I watched the June and July thread unfold.. Does it seem that everyone gets their BFP in the first few days of the month then nothing happens after that? --(mental note to self- must plan ovulation so that my AF is due at beginning of the month)

frustratedpants · 13/07/2012 18:43

Grin at Trying to plan BFP for start of month.

Here's hoping I'm we're all not in for the long haul.

bodi · 13/07/2012 19:33

Hi everyone!

Can I join too pretty please? I have also been lurking for a while and thought I should just buck up and get involved but wasn't sure what thread to join. I have PCOS and very irregular cycles. I conceived ds after 2 years of trying without medical assistance. Before that cycles could be up to 7 months apart. Since stopping BF cycles have been 27 days, 28 days and 34 days so massive improvement but not sure if i ov every time. Just started temping this month, using opk, taking fa and on CD13. No idea where i would fit for testing for BFP but would love to loiter with you guys whlst trying. Based onlast month cycle 1, ttc #2, hopiing for BFP 4th AUgust but who knows......

Newbie2 · 13/07/2012 23:01

Yes hi to all the new posters :o let's hope we all have some luck!! To the newcomers feel free to copy and paste the list and add yourselves to it and repost, the longer the list is the better ... to help the time pass!

WhenSheWasBadSheWasHorrid · 13/07/2012 23:09

Hello to all the new ladies, best of luck to all.

sunshine thanks for your message af still isn't here, inspite of af pains all bloody day. Feels like she has mounted her broomstick but got lost. I did poas this evening and got a bfn so am just waiting for her to find me.

On the bright side two cycles ago I only had an 11 day luteal phase. Tomorrow will be 15 dpo so at least I don't need to worry about that.

TheQueensDinner · 14/07/2012 01:02

Can I join too please?

My mirena came out on 2nd July so this is my first cycle, although have no idea when AF is due or when to test really as mirena's been in for 3 years and haven't had AF throughout.

Guess I might POAS on 2nd Aug only because it's a calendar month on unless AF gets me first.

HariboHeaven · 14/07/2012 03:15

Hello everyone! waves to all from July thread
Am going to try to take a more relaxed approach to dtd this month, but let's see. Doing the EPO thing + vits + temps + opk tests mid-month onwards. Plan to DTD EOD from about cd16 as I ov at around cd22. CD3 today so a loooong way to go.... Need something to pass the time so will prob just lurk here for a wee while. Wink
Oh, and this time round I will NOT be testing early. Ended up in tears last month which is totally ridiculous so I vow not to go there again.

yikes I am too going to be more relaxed this cycle. DH is more in the loop and gets that we need to try EOD so hopefully that will make it less stressful for me if we're both putting the effort in.

Am using cheapy ovulation tests and now getting a faint line after a while - is this to be relied upon do you think? Very frustrating not knowing where I am in my cycle. Would almost be a relief to get a BFN just so I have a starting point. Trying to DTD every night just in case.

Sheep2345 · 14/07/2012 16:15

TheQueensDinner I'm using Ovulation internet cheapies too but my instructions say that a faint line means a no. A dark line (similar or darker than to the tset line) is a yes. Only been using them for 3 days now to try and monitor ready for TTC.

I get my coil out on 17th July (which would be CD16) so I'm going to miss that month's POAS round :-( so waiting (possibly not very patiently) until August for my turn!

TheQueensDinner · 14/07/2012 16:49

Thanks Sheep. Have read other posts saying that the lines one these cheap tests are usually faint so was being optimistic!

babyjames · 14/07/2012 17:10

No probs newbie thanks for adding me :) I'm with you on aiming for a more relaxed month!

SunshineOutdoors · 14/07/2012 19:37

yikes I know what you mean about testing early. I had 15 cheapies last month and used all of them during what ended up being a 3ww due to ovulating later than I thought. I was an emotional wreck and have learnt my lesson this time around.

I let myself believe that I was pregnant and it was such a crash to realise I wasn't. Trying to expect nothing and then might be pleasantly surprised I hope. ha ha you all watch me get my hopes up as the month goes on

SunshineOutdoors · 14/07/2012 19:39

Here's to a lovely relaxed August for all of us! Wine

Newbie2 · 14/07/2012 19:46

Hey, HariboHeaven, our turns next I hope!

threeleftfeet · 14/07/2012 23:27

Wishing the best of luck to everyone this month of course :)

Just getting a little bit concerned at being on cycle 5!

threeleftfeet · 14/07/2012 23:37

OK, sticks again. I need your help ladies, I'm clueless here!

I found these "Highly Sensitive 20miu Ovulation/Fertility Test Strips - 30-Pack" on Amazon for under £6. They seem really cheap compared to the others. Are they the right ones? Is there something wrong with them?

Then there's a Clearblue Digital Ovulation Testing Kit - 7 Pack for £14

Also a non-digital Clearblue kit for £16.

Which would you go for? Confused
