Welcome to the newbies. Joyful sorry bout your mmc. I had 1 in dec, it took til march til I had a period and that was a forced one by taking provera. I dont think my downstairs has recovered properly yet which is why its taking me so long to get my bfp. See how your next cycle goes and just hump all the way thru it. It cant hurt now can it. X

BFCongrats to you dreamy, ooh they're coming thick and fast so early in the month. Long may it continue. Good luck to everyone.

We had our neice staying with us so couldnt DTD last night, shes a very light sleeper Angry. So il be a day out on my EOD cycle. But to be honest, EWCM dried up nearly a week ago and my boobs are now hurting so I think im in my LP now, what do you reckon? I will be DTD tonight and throughout anyway - just to be sure.

winkle wait til the weekend to test. You can have all weekend then to beam to yourself before you go back to crappy work!!

Kicking Dont want to be a scaremonger but have you tested for diabetes? Raging thirst is usually a great big symptom for that??

KickingUpQuestions · 07/06/2012 13:36

I just went to the guy at Boots and he gave me a synthetic saliva thing. Diabetes is on my list but ironically, so is a high progesterone level.

He did say that there would be other symptoms if it was diabetes but there is no way to tell.

I have been trying to get an appointment that my work would be happy with but I don't care actually. So I will try get one for tomorrow.

Grin

I just hope it won't be anything that will effect TTC

RIBS · 07/06/2012 13:47

Im sure it wont be. But its best to get these things checked out. Lets just hope its a BFP on its way. To be fair, its probably all the sex kicking. Your bodys bloody exhausted and trying to replace lost fluids! Grin

The only thing that'l affect yout TTC regiment is exhaustion!!

One of my frind has diabetes, you're fine with it, they just keep a closed eye on you - and you have enormous babies and have to have a pre-booked c-section.

KickingUpQuestions · 07/06/2012 14:09

Well that's what the bloke said at Boots. He would have only really thought it was diabetes if I was already pregnant. But seeing as I am not pregnant, its nothing he would speculate on.

The thing is that I am not hugely overweight (I could lose a bit but I can still go out and run 15kms or cycle 80kms on road / 60 kms off road), my BP is fine and all that. So there are no other symptoms.

I don't care what it is to be honest. I just want my body back... Grin

RIBS · 07/06/2012 14:21

My friend isnt overweight, she's had 2 kids PG with no 3 and a size 10, well she was. Grin

Ooh I wish I could do 15k. I tend to do 5k 2 or 3 times a wk and do an occasional 10k run and train to up it. I did the great north run a few yrs ago. I hated every minute of it! Never again.

Ive just read my last post - how did you understand it!!! haha, Im dyslexic today!

If Dr asks anything about sexual activity - you'l be able to reel off which days you've DTD for. His jaw'l drop and you'l come out with a gold star not a prescription!! Grin

KickingUpQuestions · 07/06/2012 14:36

It's terrible that they have classed diabetes as the "healthy one that you get as a child and you have no control over" and the "unhealthy one you get for being fat and overweight and you probably eat too much anyway"

:(

RIBS · 07/06/2012 14:51

I agree. Thing is the "unhealthy one" is more on the increase, particularly in kids because they're sat in front of a TV playing vidoe games and not out playing. Im fortunate that I can let my DD play on the street outside our house with her (older) friends, (still keeping an eye and ear out for her, obv) but in this day and age, how many parents dare let their kids run off unsupervised and play out, like we used to!

Anyway I hope its not "that" and your just plain old knocked up! and despite being adamant there's no such thing as symptoms this early - thats just what it is!! Shock Grin Grin Grin
Tell you what it wouldnt be for the want of trying this month!

KickingUpQuestions · 07/06/2012 14:58

I would think that if I hadn't had the same thing last month! Grin

So it's definitely not just plain old knocked up.

But it could be high progesterone level which also could be the reason why I am battling to have a kiddie. But I don't get why it's only been this month and last month then.

toobreathless · 07/06/2012 15:22

Yay for the BFPs!!

I am back after a week of nights.

AF did finally arrive & today is now CD 9 of a 32 (I think, charted once!) day cycle so that makes me testing end June. Special big wave to NicolaHazel can we be cycle buddies? :)

JoyfulJoyful · 07/06/2012 15:36

Thanks RIBS and sorry about your MMC too. I do pray it happens for us and soon too.
Kicking, you may be up the duff like they say. I really hope you are because you do deserve it. One thing I feel certain about is that it will happen this year . we?ve got remain hopeful.
I thought AF had arrived but it seems I?m just spotting which is a bit worrying as I usually don?t get this but I have been particularly stressed in the last 2 months with this TTC project so maybe that?s what has caused it.

NicolaHazel · 07/06/2012 15:50

Hey Breathless!

That's you, me and Kitten together :-)

Though the way I feel, I'm either on a super short first post-pill cycle, or ovulating every egg I've denied an opportunity to for the last 17 years.

Pain! :-(

QueenOfTheDrama · 07/06/2012 16:41

joyful - have you tested? some ladies spot in place of af when they are pg Grin

amaya sorry to hear af got you, good luck for next cycle.

kicking did you manage to get your doctors app for tomorrow?

RIBS yes you're defo in the LP I would say - I'm pretty sure you start getting things like sore boobs post-ov.

KickingUpQuestions · 07/06/2012 16:50

Joyful - I think we do forget that by stressing loads about TTC, we inadvertently push out OV because stress is stress. You need to try and find something else to focus on. Like DTD lots!

Yeh got a doctors appointment at 12 tomorrow. So I have taken a half day off work and will sleep late and potentially float in our pool at home. Feel relieved that at least they should be able to pick up progesterone if that's the problem...

I am about 98% sure that it's not from pregnancy but thanks for the positive vibes :)

Kittenkatzen · 07/06/2012 17:07

nicola/breathless - horray for cycle buddies...I think red was also planning to test end June so we have a whole testing gang!

nicola i think we should go with the idea that you're ovaries are spitting out eggs like there's no tomorrow, and come 30th June you're going to get a BFP with octuplets (at least)! :o That would help the wedding planning no end methinks! :o

NicolaHazel · 07/06/2012 17:35

Ha ha, Kitten! Not sure I entirely like that idea. :-/

I'll have the BFP though!

Hi to Sunshine.

Sorry to everyone who's been caught by AF. Good luck for next cycle. :-)

Just trying to catch up with MN properly after a really hectic day at work.

dreamydays · 07/06/2012 18:39

Thanks for the congrats all. Just catching up after work all day. Well af hasn't arrived and the line's still there on this morning's test so I guess I'm still pg! I don't actually have any other tests at home, didn't have a chance to buy today, maybe tomorrow if still no af.

Someone asked what I did. Mum-to-be vits including FO, for months. DTD a lot. Afterwards, 30 mins upside down as vertical as I could get! Then straight to sleep without standing up or going to the loo - to maximise chances against gravity. Also progesterone (on prescription) since 3 days POV.

Plus I felt more positive this month for various reasons - this thread one of them!

dreamydays · 07/06/2012 18:46

kicking glad you're getting your thirst checked out.

joyfuljoyful since mc last sept I've had 2 or 3 23 day cycles. No idea what's going on. But the other cycles have been my regular 27 days. I realised quite recently that I usually only have 9-10 days from OV to AF and this needed treating - might you be the same?

Sorry to amaya and others with af

winkle2 · 07/06/2012 18:56

Sorry she for you amaya.

Mega busy at work which means I didnt have time to run down to Boots to buy a test. Phew!

Do not feel pregnant at all!!

winkle2 · 07/06/2012 18:58

Sorry she got you amaya.

SunshineOutdoors · 07/06/2012 19:05

Wow, I'm glad I joined this thread with the amount of BFPs. For those who have af don't get disheartened, surely it just increases your chances of it happening next month, as the longer you try for the more likely it is to happen.

Well, I'm ttc dc2. I wanted to get pregnant ages ago but have had to stop bf completely in order to get a period back. For once I was glad to see af! So this is my first cycle since af came. I am currently on cd13 but have a 35 day cycle so I think there's ages to go before I ov, still dtd a lot just in case though!

I am due af on 30th June but not going to test then, as before I conceived dd I was on the pill, but before that I had been known to go up to a 45 day cycle, so I want to wait as long as I can before I test because it's horrible getting those bfn (I've taken about 3 tests fairly recently as I've been convinced I have symptoms, thought I'd caught my first ov before af, but no luck)

Well I will keep my eye on you all and fingers crossed for you. Hopefully I'll get a July bfp but tbh I'm not holding my breath as I wouldn't expect it to happen first cycle of course I'm hoping it will happen but I will say I'm not expecting it to try and make it happen

dreamydays · 07/06/2012 19:11

winkle I don't feel pregnant either! There are no symptoms at this point, honest. Fx for a bfp for you!

LittleMissSnowShine · 07/06/2012 19:45

Winkle - the poas gods don't want you to test today, wait til Saturday! Hang in there lady! it'll be worth it when you see two lines Grin I also do not feel in any way preg - a bit bloated today and have been cleaning like a maniac all week (i'm normally a messy bird!) so maybe i'm nesting lol but otherwise nada. didn't feel preg til 5 or 6 weeks gone with DS tho so don't let lack of symptoms worry u at this stage!

Amaya - Sorry AF got you but sounds like you're super prepared for next cycle so good luck with it all, fx for you!!

Kicking - My dad is diabetic and has been since he was 17 (he has the 'healthy' childhood one!). When I was a kid, particularly around the ages of about 8 - 11 i used to be thirsty all the flipping time too and my parents were constantly hovering over me (and my sis) looking for diabetes symptoms. Turns out my pcos might be related to by dad's genes and both me, my sis and my DS are all a bit hypoglycemic but none of us has fullblown diabetes. Anyway, though, I'd keep an eye on it since constant thirst is one of the key early indicators. But in saying that I was crazily thirsty when I was preg with DS and also last month when I had chem preg, so I do think it's a progesterone thing. FX that's what it is for you!!

I mentioned on the thread a while back about a good friend of mine who has a MC over xmas after ttc for 10 months and who works as a dr in maternity ward so has had to scan ladies and deliver babies all the time since she lost hers :( Anyway, she was round today with my other friend and her DD and she's preg again! So excited! Feeling good baby vibes right now Grin

SunshineOutdoors · 07/06/2012 19:55

I had no symptoms 'til about 7 weeks if I remember rightly. Then I was sick multiple times a day until about 16 or 17 weeks Grin it's lovely when you first start getting the symptoms - I remember enjoying my first bit of morning sickness! - but certainly don't worry about not getting them straight away. My friend who has just given birth reported feeling pretty fine all the way through her 40 weeks.

QueenOfTheDrama · 07/06/2012 20:25

Add me to the list of not feeling pg! Its weird thinking that I could be pg right now and my body is giving me no clues whatsoever! I think I started getting sickness from around 5 weeks last time but had sore boobs pretty much from the start. Wish I could test soon, this is the longest 2ww ever!

KickingUpQuestions · 07/06/2012 20:29

I have no idea but am convinced that I am out for June

Oh well :)

July here we come
