hey ladies,

There are a few of us who are ttc after mc's, however there will be ladies out there who are also ttc for the first time or second or third without success. If anyone is on, considering or had success on a super ovulation programme then do join us. How long did it take ? Did you try IUI with it.. ? Did you have PCOS?

Kicking this off and hoping some of you will join....

I know that horrible 2ww after embryo transfer Duggs, just hang in there and try to stay positive. I know it's easier said than done! I always watched laods of films to try and take my mind off things.

I am slo fed up of waiting, is a year since I was properly pregnant and was hoping the steriods would be my answer but maybe not. I still can't bear facing the thought that it wil lnevre happen for us as it's just to heartbreaking. Sad

duggs1976 · 25/09/2012 05:43

pebbles just out of interest what's your plan if the next 2 rounds of SO don't work? IVF at ARGC??

Mel3062 · 25/09/2012 06:27

What's the ARGH?? Thanks xx

Mel3062 · 25/09/2012 06:29

Aww me too, I tried for 18 months then mc in April and thought this would all be my answer :( hopefully it still will be. I want to know when to book my scan but apparently my files gone to Harley st and Louise will ring me. Hoping after 2 months they'll suggest what I try next maybe ivf I think xx

Arianrhod · 25/09/2012 12:26

Morning ladies ... well, 12dpo testing for me on Thursday morning but you know, I have never felt less pregnant in my life. Absolutely no implantation pangs, no unusually hurting bbs (they always hurt a bit between ov and AF, but nothing more than that), no nausea, no increase in peeing - all things I have had with previous pgs.

Oh well ... I guess that means on to cycle 6 next week. Ho hum.

Mel3062 · 25/09/2012 18:16

Are you on steroids ari it could be that hiding symptoms? You're not out yet Hun good luck xx

Arianrhod · 25/09/2012 18:43

Only 10mg this cycle, as an experiment since I stopped taking 25mg from OV a few months ago but with VHNK I'm a bit worried my body might just kill anything off before it has a chance. I doubt 10mg is enough to mask any symptoms - it's not interfering with my sleep like the higher doses do, for example. But thank you for the positivity, I don't seem to have much of that myself anymore!

Mel3062 · 25/09/2012 19:37

I know how you feel, it's tough trying to keep going but you either sink or swim, you're not out yet Hun xxxx

jaffajiffy · 26/09/2012 02:44

ari I've had all the symptoms and no bfp, symptoms and bfp, and this last time, NO symptoms except bloating plus Bfp! If you're on starflower and eve primrose they regulate how you feel so may be hiding symptoms. So I reckon it's still all to play for.

kittens and I are both at the same place today having nuchal scans. kittens, I know you'll be feeling anxious with your history. I was feeling v anxious about it still being 'alive' as it's over 2 weeks since i saw the little feller. But I heard the hb yesterday, which is great, so I'm just a bit worried about the downs screen (I'm 38 with amh of 2.3!). It will be nice to see it! 4th pg and never made it this far.

Thinking of you all, esp those on cycle 5!

Mel3062 · 26/09/2012 05:46

Aw thanks jiffajaffy great that you heard heartbeat, hope alls well for you and kittens. What a journey we travel!! X

Arianrhod · 26/09/2012 09:21

Thanks jaffa, hope you're right but not holding my breath as I've started getting what are usually pre-AF cramps. Bugger.

Just wanted to say a huge GOOD LUCK to you both today, kittens and jaffa - I know how nerve-wracking today is for you and I'm rooting for you both.

duggs1976 · 26/09/2012 15:13

Lurking for scan news ???

Arianrhod · 26/09/2012 15:33

I've been lurking all day, still lurking too :)

jaffajiffy · 26/09/2012 16:12

Hi there sorry it's so late!. Scan news from me is all good. They were running VERY late as the Professor takes ages with each person. Was very nice to see mini Jaffa. Now I can be pg! My belly says I'm very pg already. Now it can be free!

Thanks so much for your support. Here's wishing pg and 12 wk scans for each of you.

Havingkittens · 26/09/2012 17:44

Nice to meet you today Jaffa, sorry I wasn't very chatting but was SO tense!

I've just posted this on the other thread...

My scan went well, I'm happy to say. My odds were 1:600, but because of my history and the fact that I wanted a definitive answer I had the CVS anyway. I had forgotten how painful and traumatic it was to have that down! It was pretty hideous. Anyway, it's done now. They said the risk of miscarriage was 1:500 so hopefully all will be fine. I've had two before with no miscarriages and the risk they gave me then was 1:100. I get the results back on Friday afternoon but I think we can pretty much assume all is good.

Oh, and I'm measuring 12 weeks today, which is 3 days ahead of last scan and 4 days ahead of original calculations.

Havingkittens · 26/09/2012 17:51

Chatty, not chatting!

jaffajiffy · 26/09/2012 17:58

kittens I'm really pleased for you and think that's a great result and understand that you'd rather know for sure for sure. I'm ahead as well: 12w5. it was lovely to meet you despite the anxious setting. X

Havingkittens · 26/09/2012 18:02

Great news that yours went well too jaffa. What a bloody relief hey?

Arianrhod · 26/09/2012 18:13

Oh thank god, hallelujah, praise anything that's listening! (apologies to anyone who is religious). jaffa and kittens especially, I am so SO pleased for you both!

Havingkittens · 26/09/2012 18:19

Ahh, thanks ari Smile. Still got my fingers crossed for you. x

jaffajiffy · 26/09/2012 18:20

SUCH a relief, kittens. Ari, what a lovely post! I'm sure God's on alert Grin

Pebbles73 · 26/09/2012 18:49

Great scan news girls, hope you can both try and relax a little now and enjoy being pg. Grin

Ari am hoping it is not af for you and will keep my fingers crossed.

How are you coping Duggs?

Mel3062 · 26/09/2012 19:41

Aw fab news xx

Breezyweezy · 26/09/2012 20:44

Delurking to say fantastic news on the scans kittens and jaffa so happy for you both!

Ari and Duggs I am with you about being so very, very bored of waiting for the same old disappointment each month. I have been awol for a bit as I lost it after the first SO didn't work. Spent a week being very depressed and crying at everything and peed off my OH lots!! Ari I think we both have quite awkward OHs from what I have picked up!! My reaction was completely irrational as there was never any guarantee it was going to work first time, but I suppose you always hope and pray (even though not religious!) that it will. Am on round 2 and in the 2WW. Keeping very busy redecorating my rental flat and haven't had time to think of anything pg related!

Duggs hope you are keeping occupied and I have everything crossed for you. I still haven't got around to calling ARGC, but will do next week when I have some time.

Ari fingers crossed for you too thins month.

Mel ARGC is the Assisted Reproduction and Gynaecology Centre in Wimpole street. Very hardcore, very expensive IVF clinic with amazing success rates!

Waves to all.

Breezyweezy · 26/09/2012 20:46

Duh...thins month....meant this month. I blame the paint fumes!
