I am on CD15 today. No sign of CM or EWCM. DTD on CD 5, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and gave it a miss last night on account of wanting to do it every day from tonight until 7 June.

It appears that I may ovulate later than I thought. Although, maybe I just won't OV this month?

My body was clockwork until I started wondering about this stuff...

redstrawberry · 30/05/2012 11:29

3 days late but the evil witch did arrive and was painful as hell! It's so strange when your cycle is like clockwork and its late, then you get your hopes up and then they come crashing down again with bfns.

Had lots of cuddles from hubby and feeling all uplifted for next month Smile

How you all been?

Kicking - hats off to you! We are going to got for eod too but not sure how we will manage that! At least I can have some wine for now Grin

redstrawberry · 30/05/2012 11:30

Also I am NOT going to listen to any cramps or twinges or symptoms this month. From now on just dtd and wait for AF. No peeing on sticks either.

I am goin to try the ridiculous 'relaxed' approach!

redstrawberry · 30/05/2012 11:34

kicking do you also dtd right upto the day before AF is due? I am just wondering because I think I must have OVed really late and this time I'm thinking of dtd eod right till the last day.

KickingUpQuestions · 30/05/2012 12:03

Ah red I am so sorry. I know how it feels though and the ANNOYING thing is all the people that say "I know of xxxx person who tested a week late" and the thing is that they make it sound common. But it's not. Only 2% of people don't test positive on the day AF is due.

Then statistically, the later you implant, the higher the chance that you lose the pregnancy. There was an 86% chance of the pregnancy not being sticky enough if you implant after 12DPO.

I think everyone needs the month where they are late and they get all excited about the symptoms. Just so that you can understand that there are no symptoms - not until you get a positive test. I am a lot calmer this month after the last stupid rubbish month.

Sobbed my eyes out for 2 days!! DH was magic though and we've ditched the OPK's and sticks and testing for things.

I am on CD15 now and we're just DTD often. I am going to DTD every day from today (CD15) until CD23. Then EOD until AF arrives.

KickingUpQuestions · 30/05/2012 12:06

I also did some counting and I think I've been counting my days as like "Af arrived on this day, so the next day is CD1".

Then we tend to bonk until CD14 or CD15 (which would actually be CD13 or CD14 because I've been counting incorrectly), and then we do it when we feel like after CD14.

This month, I am covering my bases for the whole effing time

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 30/05/2012 12:24

Kicking is right. There are so many threads that people start saying I am 10 days late and no af, and I feel awfully sorry as these ladies think they might be pg, and you do hear stories but in reality it's only a very small chance. It's horrible when that happens.

KickingUpQuestions · 30/05/2012 12:28

I was 10 days late in December. It was the shittest time of my life. We kept getting BFNs (and they say to treat it as if you were pregnant)and we got a faint BFP and then AF arrived a couple days later.

Then four days late last month and tons of tests - but still no BFP.

I genuinely think that if you get a BFN on the day of AF, you treat it as a late ovulation.

Otherwise, you just kill yourself with worry

QueenOfTheDrama · 30/05/2012 16:57

So sorry to hear about af red but glad that you're still so positive about everything. Good luck for your next cycle, yes I think dtd often is all you need to do. x

KickingUpQuestions · 31/05/2012 08:10

CD 16 today and still no OV that i can detect.

We DTD last night making it active on CD 5, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15

so if i did OV am confident that its not been missed.

Need to maintain every day for next 6 days then EOD until AF just in case

unless i find i OV am after 6 June then will revert to every day

tired!!

everythinghappensforareason · 31/05/2012 10:03

Hi Ladies, sounds like weve all been busy (ahem *kicking) ;)

i ovulated yesterday afternoon, my ovulation pain is becoming worrying now :( i remember starting this thread + mentioning the pain. its like burning stabbing pain around the ovaries (both of them, last two months)
Apparently some mild cramping is normal, but these rnt mild, i have to take pain killers (which dont work) last month the pain lasted 2-3hours, this month half hour-hour. any ideas pleasee??

And if u r like clock work and ever get AF early - late it could be a CP, my doctor told me almost every woman will probably have atleast 1 through there life without even noing, sorry that wont cheer u up ino. and maybe sometime people's r just abit off, because u can OV at different times, but luethal phase remains the same. this is what ive read anyways :)

everythinghappensforareason · 31/05/2012 10:05

actually been a little busy too, ovulated 30th, DTD 28th, 29th, 30th!!
hope thats not to much though :(

OP posts:
KickingUpQuestions · 31/05/2012 10:19

What's a CP?

I don't think its that though. I probably don't notice it to be honest...

KickingUpQuestions · 31/05/2012 11:34

Everything - we had a very stressful time the week i should have oved last month.

I think my CP was in December :)

I think my body is chilled

I worked out what CP was :)

QueenOfTheDrama · 31/05/2012 16:02

No wonder you're tired kicking Grin Sounds like you're doing the right thing though, covering all bases.

everything sorry I don't really know much about OV pain. Saying that though I didn't think I had ever felt it before but then last night I had some mild af like cramping like in the middle of my stomach but low down - does this sound like OV pain? I have no idea, was probably wind Blush

KickingUpQuestions · 01/06/2012 08:35

Cd 17 today and still no ewcm. Although definite increase in cm. Weird for a 28 day cycle?

Have until the 4 June until the luteal phase is then apparently too short.
But must remember that 70% of women ov before day 10th and after day 17 and carry healthy babies to term.

Still humping lots so won't miss it either water

KickingUpQuestions · 01/06/2012 08:36

I could be wrong but ov before pains are not common and they should be a mild twinge that most people don't even notice?

Perhaps your pain has nothing to do with ov and you should get it checked out?

redstrawberry · 01/06/2012 13:15

everything I never realised I had any OV pains or pre AF cramps until I started noting my symptoms last month and found that I get both but never really paid it much attention.

My last cycle I thought I OV on cd16 but I had strong poker pains in my lower abdomen on CD20,21 and 22 so maybe I OVed late on those days.

redstrawberry · 01/06/2012 13:17

kicking could it be that you don't notice the ewcm because it may get mixed up or wipe off during dtd? I didn't get to see any last month but a lot of increase in cm. to be honest no idea when I OV.

Like you say carry on eod till AF due!

KickingUpQuestions · 01/06/2012 13:37

I always thought I had OV pains but it only happens when I am concentrating on it. Same with implantation - I only pretend-noticed it when I was looking for it.

I hope I have just missed it. Once DH commented that it was very watery (before DTD) so hopefully that's when I OVed...

No idea but trying really hard to not obsess!!!

redstrawberry · 01/06/2012 13:48

It is difficult isn't it! When you try and listen to your body you feel so many twinges pains cramps - so this month I am not going to obsess as i was same as you last month kicking where I felt all symptoms but ended up with bfn Sad

I am def not building any hopes this month. Just enjoy the sunshine , bank holidays and dtd and "try and relax"(yeah right!)

Got to go but will be back later. Hoping I get back to normality post this training in the middle of nowhere and get back to world of wifi soon!

KickingUpQuestions · 01/06/2012 16:35

I think sometimes we don't listen. I think sometimes we have selective hearing or we make our bodies say things they don't mean... :)

I also think that fertility decreases as we get older. I actually know EXACTLY what they are talking about when they say EWCM. I remember being very confused about it when I was younger. Between like 10 and 15? Then as the years have gone by, it's gotten less and less and less.

I think the EWCM that they refer to is literally what you get in the first 5 years of AF arriving for like...forever.

They do say that it decreases in your late twenties and early thirties but I think they're giving us a false thing to follow. Because it' EXACTLY as they describe it - but it was like that for me like...10 years ago? Not now.

QueenOfTheDrama · 02/06/2012 10:15

completely agree kicking - its so easy to read too much into the tiniest of "symptoms" and talk yourself into it. Its much less stressful to sit back and just see what happens, although it is difficult!

everythinghappensforareason · 02/06/2012 18:03

at 1st i didnt relate it to ovulation, its only since i was writing down dates it happened etc and was using opk's and it CD11 of everymonth, surely not coincidence?
Im on CD14 now,DTD two days ago, and will be tonight:o just incase haha.
Ive been suprisingly chilled this month, AF due in 11days. im ok about everything, ino if im not preg this month i wont be upset i have a scan a few days after so atleast i will no im all clear(or not) of anything that could be effecting my chances x x
