Right I'm going to be bold and start a new thread to drum up some energy for anyone ttc a Jan / Feb / Spring 2013 baby.

Grin at you two. I had never experienced coffee at the garden centre until this past March. We spent a lovely few days in the New Forest - Peppa Pig World & Beaulieu Motor Museum - there was a sweet garden centre in Beaulieu and w had a very lovely lunch there. Didn't hurt that weather was gorgeous.

Wiggy29 · 18/05/2012 23:06

We probs go to garden centres once a month but I also love my national trust membership, carbooting& any sort of craft fayre/ farmer's Market! How glam! I can whoop it up with the best of them in my skirt&heels till the early hours but generally once every 2 months is more than enough!

Pipbin · 18/05/2012 23:35

Just had a look to see if I can get taking charge of your fertility from the library. Seems that there is one copy for the whole of Suffolk and there are 7 people who have it reserved.

EmpireBiscuit · 19/05/2012 07:28

Morning ladies!

You've all been busy on here. I'll catch up later.

Have a wonderful Saturday :)

blackcatsdancing · 19/05/2012 08:23

there's one copy of tcoyf in our library service, no resies. It wasn't where it should have been yesterday but i see today its in transit back there. I work for the library service so really don't want to reserve it or people will know what i'm trying to do , so i'll order a new copy from amazon as soon as af arrives and send it back if it doesn't appeal. pipbin ask your library service if they will buy another copy. Hopefully you will get someone who is helpful , often when this sort of thing happens i tell customers i can place a request with the non-fiction buyer to see if she will buy a book we don't stock or where the demand is great get another. I have to check first that our suppliers have it available and then its up to her to say yes or no but its always worth a go- i'm amazed how often she says yes!

well 13DPO and big drop in temp. Not sure whats going on this month, rocky temps in luteal phase are unusual for me. Early ovulation, LH surge followed by temp rise next morning not allowing me much time to DTD, its been a confusing month. I'm expecting AF tomorrow then or maybe later today. Would have been weird if my luteal phase has shrunk suddenly so glad i'm clear of 12 days. Feeling bit depressed , but work today so no time to mope around.

treats did you make it past the 10DPO? I hope so. Hello to everyone else, hope you all have good weekends.
p.s love garden centre cafes, lovely cakes and plants all around what's not to like?

blackcatsdancing · 19/05/2012 08:29

actually i 've just reserved it, looked again and its listed as natural family planning as well as fertility so no one will really know what i want it for, plus getting far too old to still care what other people think of me.

TuesdayNightClub · 19/05/2012 09:33

Morning all, I have been off this thread as I tend to have long cycles with not much happening, but I'm checking back in because from my temps it's possible, just possible, that I ov'd on day 18 (and also swi that day!) which would be my earliest ov ever. That would mean the Agnus Castus might be working to reduce my long follicular phase. Just need the B6 to start increasing my ultra short LP! Smile

Congrats and commiserations to bfps and bfns on the thread. Loving a bit of garden centre chat Grin

SilentMammoth · 19/05/2012 09:59

Oooh blackcats, can you buy it on Amazon marketplace? I honestly would recommend it. are you poas today?

Hi TNC great news about poss ov.

Pipbin and lastbox (great news about cbfm) are we all due to poas about the same time, 30/5 or thereabouts? Got my grid drawn on FF and officially 3 dpo Smile

lastboxoftampons · 19/05/2012 10:21

I think TCOYF is actually a reference book in our library! pip just had a look on eBay and there's a copy on there with no bids yet, auction ends in two hours and it's currently just £5. TBH, I'd just get a used one off eBay. They're about £9 with free shipping. I'd say that's worth it and it looks like the resale value is good.

Blackcats sorry about the temp drop :( hope you're feeling okay.

Hello TNC glad to hear the supplements are working. But wanted to say don't stress too much - DS was conceived on cd23 with an at best 11 day LP! My cycle is slightly different this time around with ov on cd16 usually. Still got a dodgy LP though. Am due to have blood tests next month. Welcome back :)

Silent high temp for me this morning, so FF has redrawn grid with ov on CD16, so 3dpo for me today too. I would know if I was pg on 29/5 but I usually don't get to the point of testing because I spot a lot before AF. Both times I was pg I had no spotting in my LP. I'm a little bit Shock at the moment actually because since we've been ttc#2 I've noticed spotting a few dpo but so far nothing! Hopefully it's a good sign but I know better than to read into it.

I've been meaning to mention, I've been drinking lots of ginger and red raspberry leaf teas as they're meant to be good for your uterus and hormones. Not sure if it has anything to do with this month - in addition to know spotting yet, I've had a pretty clear temp shift and chart is looking pretty so far - but wondered if anyone else has had good experiences with teas?

Treats thinking of you!

Pipbin · 19/05/2012 13:12

I'm not sure about TCOYF as I understand she has a real downer on women over 35 TTCing.
Also, I don't think there is anything more I can do now than I am. Just need to persuade DH to DTD more!

Silent and Lastbox I'm due to POAS or get AF on 27th May.

Purpledragon · 19/05/2012 13:21

Hi Pipbin , check out a book called 'Making Babies' on amazon reviews. Lots of diet and other non medical interventions. Perhaps your library has this one? I found it interesting, there is part on age but don't remember being put off by it (I would remember, I'm +35 and easily put off!)

Treats · 19/05/2012 20:43

GOOD day today here. My temperature has gone back up to 97.9 (the highest temp I've so far recorded this cycle) and AF has stayed away. I shouldn't think I'd be expecting her tomorrow either - it would usually be at least the day after a temp dip - so I think I can safely say that I'll have made it to 12DPO this month. Which is well within the range of normal and "nothing to worry about".

Trying VERY HARD not to think about what will happen when I poas on Monday morning..........

lbot - I might have been in Beaulieu Garden Centre at the same time as you! My ILs live in the New Forest and we popped in there last time we visited them - which was in March.

Pipbin - TCOYF does stress that it's harder to get pregnant after 35 - really makes no bones about it - but not in a "you shouldn't do it" way. It's just honest, factual advice that - if you have the choice - you really shouldn't put off having children. There was another recent chat on MN about this - and lots of posters agreed that it's one of those things you just don't realise until you start ttc and ought to be more widely known and talked about.

Wiggy - we've just joined the National Trust too! Much better than motorway service stations if you're going on a long car journey.....

LimeLeafLizard · 20/05/2012 10:02

Sunday morning and I'm sitting here with a Brew catching up on the thread. Funny that so many of us love garden centres! DH and I managed to get quite a lot done in the garden yesterday. There is an area we are clearing out and intend to re-plant, but it is hard going. The boys had fun making a 'worm party' and identifying other mini-beasts including a frog and a toad.

My temps have been all over the place. I was up to 98.0 yesterday (cd11) and convinced I had ovulated on CD10 / Friday, worried that we hadn't DTD enough due to DH being away last week. Then this morning my temp was 97.5 so almost back to proper pre-ov level. Confused Until we started ttc I used to be so regular - what happened?!

Treats it is sounding good for you, I know that feeling of trying not to get too hopeful. FX for you on Monday.

Pipbin can't believe they only have one copy for all of Suffolk! I don't see it being particularly negative about ttc over 35 but I dip in and out so perhaps I skimmed that bit!

Blackcats sorry about the temp drop and now you are playing the waiting game. Have a good Sunday everyone!

blackcatsdancing · 20/05/2012 10:49

treats that's really good news, i guess vitamin B6 must have helped with that. Good luck with AF staying away.

Pipbin and others who've mentioned this, this is a frequent complaint on many threads, not enough sex , especially partners being reluctant for whatever reason- tiredness is a very common one. I don't live with DP and he usually stays at mine but last night i was at his and the novelty had a great effect on him, last night and this morning. Nice to just have sex for the sake of it. Its hard isn't it, you don't want sex to become mechanical, you don't want to demand his sperm , you don't want to nag or make him feel under pressure but if you're going to get pregnant you do need to have enough sex during the fertile period.

I'm 14DPO today. Another temp rise, it keep going up and down which is so weird. If AF doesn't come i'll test again on Tuesday, can't tomorrow as doing something stressful at work first thing in the morning so need to concentrate .

Purpledragon · 20/05/2012 11:15

Lime I had a fake ov rise last cycle at CD 6, first time this has happened to me, freaked me out. Then ov was actually on CD 14 which is two days later than ever before, for me. The consquence of this and fussing over it was that shagging was a bit mis-timed. I can see why many people advise EOD through cycle, rather than trying to time. But this is just not practical for me. We have to have shag week or we would never rarely shag.

This Saturday (CD 9) I got a rise of a whole degree, and the highest temp I have ever recorded. Wise to this bullshit from last month we are continuing shag week. We both have a terrible cold (hence temp I'm sure) but battle on..

Anyway, perhaps you can find some insight for your own situation. Happy to share actual chart, if you like.

lastboxoftampons · 20/05/2012 14:18

Oooh, Treats really hopeful for you! Smile Funny about the Beaulieu Garden Centre. We were there during that really amazing weather at the end of March, but now that I think about it, I think we were at the GArden Centre the day we left, so must've been a Tuesday. Probably just missed you! I loved it there, we had such a nice time. We stayed at the Montague Arms and had an amazing dinner in their restaurant one night with DS asleep upstairs (brought baby monitor down with us)

blackcats temp rise at 14dpo? Smile That sounds fab!!!! Fingers crossed! And well done for shag for shag's sake! Grin at "demand his sperm"!

LLL nothing to do but keep DTD, I think! Did you drink the night before or are you feeling unwell? Could be reason for rogue high temp?

Purpledragon Also sounds like high temp due to illness. Hope you and your DP are feeling better.

either 4 or 5dpo here. Because we had just returned from the US and were jetlagged, I missed temping for a few days after we returned, so I know there weren't enough temps prior to CD15 for FF to think that was my ov date. So if I add a random temp at a typical pre-ov level, and lower one that I wasn't convinced was right, then FF says CD15, otherwise it says CD16. i know it doesn't really matter either way. Anyway, nearly started crying in church a few times today, especially when DS had to sing "This Little Light of Mine" in children's liturgy. It's not really like me, but I do remember welling up with tears when the song "Wonder" by Natalie Merchant came on my ipod with my first pregnancy. But I think I was about 10dpo. Anyway, naturally got home and started googling like a mad woman "Emotional, 5dpo, cry" and found sites with people listing "fingernails growing faster" at 6dpo Hmm WTF!?!! Shock Please help me to stay sane, oh wise sleighers! Grin

Pipbin · 20/05/2012 14:43

6dpo here and after a drop in temp yesterday I had a rise in temp today. However I did have a drink last night and I wonder if that might have something to do with it.
The optimist in me is wondering if it might be the start of a triphasic cycle but tbh we haven't DTD nearly enough this week as DH was ill fertile week.

my chart

Purpledragon · 20/05/2012 17:49

Looks good Pipbin, it could indeed be a nice early implantation. Oh, nothing better to obsess over than something actually on a chart!

Crazytictac · 20/05/2012 19:29

Well, no garden centre for me as DS ill again. Think it might be because the doctors advised us to take him off antibiotics 2 weeks ago shortly after starting the course and maybe whatever was in his system has flared up again. Grrr.

Expecting AF tomorrow or Tues so I can crack on with my new cycle.

Sounding good for a few of you ladies here!

Treats · 20/05/2012 20:16

Just going to post and run because I do NOT want to spend ages thinking about everything. Temp dip today but not a massive drop. No AF but a tiny bit of blood on the toilet roll during one of my many, many trips to the loo this afternoon (obsessively checking to see if she'd arrived).

Don't really go in for symptom spotting (and I had no symptoms for the first few weeks of both of my previous pregs anyway) so nothing else to report.

Poas tomorrow morning. Stand by........

Treats · 20/05/2012 20:26

PMSL lbot - just read your post and am now staring anxiously at my fingernails!!

How do people notice this stuff? I have literally no idea how quickly my fingernails grow and really couldn't tell you if they suddenly started growing more quickly......

SilentMammoth · 20/05/2012 20:59

Pipbin, like your chart! Looking very good!
Crazy not over til its over!
Purpledragon, lol at your "wise to this hullshit and carrying on with shag week!!!!"
4dpo and generally twiddling thumbs. Quite happy though, much prefer 2ww rather than waiting to ov. DH is military and away a lot; it's a real bummer when he's away over ov time!!!

SilentMammoth · 20/05/2012 20:59

waves at fellow church-goer lbot!
