Right I'm going to be bold and start a new thread to drum up some energy for anyone ttc a Jan / Feb / Spring 2013 baby.

Does anyone want to join me on this flight?

Expert investigator of "things" would probably be best, work for well known Gov dept. it's not as sexy as it sounds (although it is for me because I'm a nerdy sado Wink)

Flyingwithoutwings · 14/05/2012 09:10

I'm on the south coast... In the sunshine Grin

LimeLeafLizard · 14/05/2012 09:56

Its funny but I too have wondered if people I meet in RL could be any of you! DH commutes into central London so we live just within the M25 - suburban area but green places nearby. I am a northerner myself, though.

Empire I'm not your boss because I don't currently have anyone working for me (I only do paid work for a few hours a week, freelance) but if your name's Jessica I might be your cousin!

Pipbin Brew sorry your DH wasn't in the mood. TTC can do that to us all. Hope he's feeling fruity again very soon! Grin

Flying, your temp goes up by a jump the day after you ov - so you can only use it to predict that ov has happened, not that it is about to happen. Sorry AF is being a bitch this month. Also curious about your secret job but I don't want to know so you don't have to have me silenced!

EmpireBiscuit · 14/05/2012 10:06

LLL you're not my boss or my cousin then.

I am an accountant for a large company, you'll all know and most likely hate them, based in Scotland.

Flyingwithoutwings · 14/05/2012 10:32

Boo hiss at Empires employer!!

Flightty · 14/05/2012 11:33

Oh Flying I am really sorry. That was a really unfair thing to happen.

Your job sounds really really exciting though Grin

Flightty · 14/05/2012 11:33

(how many reallys in that post?) Blush

Flyingwithoutwings · 14/05/2012 13:18

Feel really shite today, in agony Sad
Really grateful for support
Job is really really exciting, even Ministers see some of my reports

I match your really's and raise them by 1 Grin

LimeLeafLizard · 14/05/2012 13:22

Hey, we're on the way to having the UK covered between us - Scotland, Wales, South coast and near London... what about the rest of you?!

Empire, so long as it pays the bills. I guess many people work for organisations that they don't particularly identify with. I nearly went to work for innocent once - they of smoothy fame - which seemed like a fab place to work but then they were taken over by a big multinational and I was glad I hadn't accepted the job as I was told the atmosphere changed a lot.

Treats · 14/05/2012 15:15

Same as LLL - suburban area within the M25 with lots of green space around. But that means that we could still live up to a hundred miles apart....... I used to live in SW London when I had DD and I know that lastboxoftampons and I lived quite close together then, although we never quite made it to meetingup.

And - spookily - like Empire - I'm an accountant, but I work for a small company that not many people have heard of unless they're active in quite a niche industry. Intrigued by flying's job - I'm glad it's something that interests you. And I'm sorry that you're suffering with AF right now. Not fair, is it? Certainly not after you waited so long for her to arrive.....

Pipbin - sorry that your DH wasn't playing. Do you think he'll want to DTD tonight? Does he get annoyed at having to perform to order? I know that some men find that the pressure can get to them. Fx for tonight for you.

Nice high temp today. Was feeling really good about it but i checked my last two cycles on FF and found that I'd had just as high temps at this stage twice before. And both times they were the precursor to temps falling steadily before AF came. Last month it was just two days between the peak temp and AF. So, fingers crossed for another high temp tomorrow. Otherwise, I imagine I'm almost certainly out again for another month.

Dillydollydaydream · 14/05/2012 15:50

I'm on the east coast, don't think anyone's mentioned there yet?

I'm still waiting for my first AF since mc. It's 4 weeks now, They did a pregnancy test after my scan showing I had completely miscarried and it came back negative so I'm hoping it won't be long.
I'll be on holiday in two weeks and was hoping AF would have been and gone by then but I'll bet she arrives just in time to join me on holiday!

Wiggy29 · 14/05/2012 15:53

Very amused by all the job talk, my job is not at all exciting, I teach in the north of England.

Soooooo as I mentioned before, it is difficult to use opk twice a day due to work.i was hoping to lend a friend's cb fertility monitor but no luck (stuck in garage for house move). I'm seriously considering hoping onto amazon tonight to get one for about £60, what do you all reckon? First wee of day much more convenient for me, especially since I read that for other opk you aren't supposed to wee for 4 hours before to get hormone strength to show (or something like that). If it works& gets me pregnant quicker £60 seems a bargain.

Wiggy29 · 14/05/2012 15:55

Dilly- sod's law meansit probs will.again, so sorry about your mc. It'll be one of the few times you're desperate for af to arrive I imagine!

Dillydollydaydream · 14/05/2012 16:12

Yes wiggy. Don't think I've ever been so keen for her to arrive!

I've never used opks/temping but considering it now.
I stopped taking pill last July and had the one bfp that I went on to miscarry so feel like I could do with helping things along a bit! :)

Flyingwithoutwings · 14/05/2012 16:28

Treats I'm an accountant too Wink but I've specialised now. Could move to some fab jobs in London, but I wouldn't now I'm a Mum.

EmpireBiscuit · 14/05/2012 16:31

I tried to temp this month but realised that you need to totally cats bum lips round the thing or it doesn't tell you the right answers. 2 weeks of being dead apparently. Go for it dilly.

2 boring accountants on one thread. Oh dear. I promise not to start the bad accountancy jokes.

I'm not sure if it's because I now know I'm up duff but I feel awful today, strange tummy, sore head, raging thirst and completely shattered. Home to bed for me.

EmpireBiscuit · 14/05/2012 16:32

3 accountants!! Blinking eck.

SilentMammoth · 14/05/2012 16:44

What empire said! What a load of accountants!!!

I live in the south west and I have what most people think is a very boring job, but I love it because out appeals to the bit of me that is very good at attention to detail (but not a lot else). funny, I've been thinking about you all too and wondering what you are like!

Who was it who used to live on sw london? I went to school in fulham! Will post later hope everything is pk with everyone, baba if your reading were all thinking of you.

SilentMammoth · 14/05/2012 16:45

I honestly can punctuate but not on a mobile very well!

Crazytictac · 14/05/2012 17:19

Sorry you're feeling rubbish flying, hope you feel better soon. I think when you have so much invested emotionally it makes things worse physically too

treats fingers crossed your temp stays high

dilly sounds strange saying this but hope your AF shows up soon. Onwards and upwards.

wiggy Ive recently started using a clear blue fertility monitor (2nd month of using it). I thought it would be better for me than temping as I rarely sleep through the night between DS and toilet trips. Seems quite good but bit expensive purchasing the fertility sticks.

empire hope you feel better soon

Fascinating the geographical spread! Don't think I'll be bumping into any of you and wondering if you're x or y at my supermarket then! :o. silent I used to live in the SW for years, a small village in Devon. Loved it!

Waves to limeleaf, pipbin, lbot, flightty, blackcats and all the other ladies here

Wiggy29 · 14/05/2012 17:40

CB fertility monitor is purchased! About £85 off Amazon with 20 stick to pee on. DP things it's a great investment if it's gets us pregs quicker.

Still no sign of Af so did another test and got another BFN, must be coming anytime now so having CB delivered to work by 1:00 tomorrow so I can test that day if I get AF in morning... although that will mean holding in my first pee of the day if AF arrives in morning until it gets delivered- yikes! Hopefully no tomorrow so can start after that. It does say you should use first wee of first day but how can you do that if AF arrives later in day?

In other good great news, I got a review letter from the hospital. They had a big review of my history going back (gasp) 9 years when I first had problem with smears and, all things considered, they are happy to see me in SEPTEMBER, not next month! That's amazing as more time to ttc for us! Really pleased and relieved for my own health too that perhaps things aren't as bad as we/ they'd thought.

Wiggy29 · 14/05/2012 17:42

Crazy- I'll probs be quizzing you loads about CB, any tips/ advice would be great.

Dilly- perhaps you could invest in a CB and we could go on that learning curve together?

SilentMammoth · 14/05/2012 19:19

Yay Wiggy! Great news!! (would you consider, ahem, saving wee so as to save your bladder holding it in?!

Crazy I may well know that village Wink

Empire how you doing?

Right, ladies, I am going to eye the line marked "TMI" and step delicately over it. Gentle readers look away now.

CD12 here and I normally ov CD17-19. Today got veeeeery stretchy CM, not exactly EW (too cloudy) but boy can it stretch! (about 3 inches). Got all excited (obviously a slow day for me) and did an opk. Negative.

I'm not a big fan of OPK's just in view of the fact that they aren't that reliable. Not sure what to think. Any suggestions gratefully received!

EmpireBiscuit · 14/05/2012 19:35

Fab news wiggy :)

Ooh, stretchy CM - but cloudy, interesting. I loves a bit of pant snot. If it helps I used OPK sticks around the time I must have ov'd at the tail end of april and did not once get a positive.

Feel hungry. Must stop eating.

LimeLeafLizard · 14/05/2012 20:08

From time to time, DH wanders in, sees me at the computer, and says 'how are your imaginary friends, then?' Next time I will tell him three of you are accountants (like him). Grin Our geographical spread is fantastic - every corner of the UK seems to have at least one sleigh rep. Maybe we need a couple more in the north though. And perhaps someone in the Midlands. And Ireland. At least I can stop wondering if random people are one of you (except maybe Treats).

Mammoth I sometimes get CM like that just before EWCM - kind of a transitional variety.

Empire I remember that constant hunger of early pregnancy. Each time I ate loads in the first trimester and put on over half a stone by 13 weeks, rather than the recommended 'no more than 3lb'.

Wiggy what is this fertility monitor then? £85 sounds alot but if it helps I guess its worth it. Can you link to amazon?
