Right I'm going to be bold and start a new thread to drum up some energy for anyone ttc a Jan / Feb / Spring 2013 baby.

Does anyone want to join me on this flight?

LimeLeafLizard · 11/05/2012 16:38

oooh hope flying gets home before I have to leave tonight...

hello lastbox welcome back! Sorry your DH didn't get the job but glad you're not moving yet. That is worrying re. the phases of the moon - I will easily get infected by a new ttc obsession! Grin

OP posts:
Crazytictac · 11/05/2012 16:59

Welcome back lbot. Commiserations about your DH job. Hope something better comes along shortly.

Really sorry dilly and baba. Life isn't very fair at times. Hope you're both ok as you can be in the circumstances.

Sorry squirrel about AF.

to all the other ladies. Crap really gotta go, dinner is getting ruined!

Flyingwithoutwings · 11/05/2012 17:02

Sad it's a BFN here Sad
Very Confused as my AF has never been 5 days late!!

Will see what the weekend brings but if she doesn't come I really ought to see the GP

Gosh, I feel so Blush

EmpireBiscuit · 11/05/2012 17:05

Angry AF the silly bunt

Crazytictac · 11/05/2012 17:20

Oh no, I'm really sorry flying. It was all looking so promising. What a horrible trick or her to play if she is on her way.

Crazytictac · 11/05/2012 17:23

Ps. No reason at all to be Blush. You can only go on what your body tells you and it seems very odd for your AF to be this much late if she isn't normally. Sucks big time. Hope you're ok.

Flyingwithoutwings · 11/05/2012 17:34

Quite gutted, was so hopeful Sad

DH is as confused (and Sad) as I am.

At least I'll get the chance to use my ovulation sticks...Hmm

lastboxoftampons · 11/05/2012 17:44

Oh Flying Sad As they say it's not over until AF, um, sings...! Fingers crossed you've just got a false negative with well-diluted evening pee!

Anyone else's DC obsessed with Tree Fu Tom? I'll admit our TV is on quite a lot, but DS always dips in and out and will never sit in front of the TV for any length of time. But he loves Tree Fu Tom - watching him do the spells is the highlight of my day Smile AND I get a whole 25 mins of peace and quiet! Wink

Flyingwithoutwings · 11/05/2012 17:50

I have considered that, it's all very weird Confused

I just feel like an attention seeker and terribly Blush

Feel like I've led you all on only to slap you in the face with a wet kipper Biscuit

I'll be ok once the evil witch is here and I'm back to day 1

One good thing: I won't have AF for our holiday (2.5 weeks away)... But I might conceive in Butlins Blush

blackcatsdancing · 11/05/2012 17:57

flying how confusing. I'd be so pissed off. I agree with lastbox though it ain't over until AF sings! I know it may be wishful thinking but whenever i get a negative and no AF i aways seem to find plenty of stories online of women who didn't get a positive for ages after. Hope that's the case for you.

I had a nice day. Went into town for chores and popped into H&M where I found a lovely black empire line dress that said £24.99- last one left and the label was handwritten, when i got to the till he charged me £7, so happy! Then went to sunny park with a friend . Work tomorow though, grr

Flyingwithoutwings · 11/05/2012 18:05

£7 is brilliant!! I love it when that happens Grin

I hope she comes soon so we can try in earnest soon Wink

I have heard of women like that too... Fx I might be one of them.

LimeLeafLizard · 11/05/2012 18:45

So sorry to hear about the BFN, flying, I have found it is all the more disappointing when I'm late. Don't worry for a minute about us though, supporting each other is what we're here for!

One of my friends had quite a few probs ttc #2, and the last couple of cycles before she fell pg she was up to 2 weeks late each cycle. I wonder if it is the egg trying to implant and not succeeding. My LP seems to have gone from 13 to 14 / 15 days since I have been ttc - perhaps the same sort of thing? (My friend now has a lovely baby DS, btw).

And look on the bright side, if you do conceive in Butlins you could always use 'Butlin' as a middle name!!! [joke]

lastbox we haven't yet had a Tree Fu Tom phase. It is 'Mike the Knight' and 'Bear Behaving Badly' that are current favourites in the Lizard house.

blackcats result!!

Flying how odd. Mind you CB digis are 50miu aren'they? (aren't they?) I am sorry.

Baba thinking of you.

Sorry to hear your news Dilly.

I had a nice day too. I had 5 fertilised duck eggs under my broody hen and all 5 hatched. Unfortunately she crushed 3 of them but the rest are chirping away happily. Terribly sweet.

Who's next to poas?
Anyone waiting t ov?

I am sooooo peeved, l usually ob cd 17-19. DH has been called away with work cd 15-19. Angry He is away a lot but he's been at home all month!! can't they re-schedule important work around my ovulation?

SilentMammoth · 11/05/2012 18:52

seriously considering a turkey baster other solutions

Flyingwithoutwings · 11/05/2012 19:08

How very rude of your DH's work Angry
Don't they realise he has more important things to do?!!!

Thanks for the support. You really are all lovely Smile

DH is wondering if the test is wrong (I'm praying it is). I will give it until Wed next week then try again, if I get to next weekend with BFN and no AF I shall go to the docs.

Sigh.... I was soooo bloody excited Sad

Crazytictac · 11/05/2012 19:49

lbot it's 'Big and Small' in our house! Is that Tom chap on Cbeebies?

blackcats that is so jammy! :o. I swear that as soon as I buy anything it's virtually guaranteed to go down in the sale. You wearing it for anywhere nice or just casual?

silent that must be maddeningly annoying! Erm, could you go with him?! Or meet halfway somewhere. I know that's a lot of effort but needs must and all that!

empire hope you've recovered from your pizza fest!

flying keeping everything crossed for you still. You going to test again or wait it out?

SpringFlowers · 11/05/2012 20:25

Wow everyone, there is so much to catch up on. I am mostly very sorry for Flying. No need to feel like an eejit, we all like you and just wanted you to be pregnant Smile. Last month I felt the same. This time I only tested early because of a temperature rise which was unexpected.

Can anyone remember, did you have...well not pain, but discomfort really low down and in your back when you were first pregnant? I have had it for days now. I am also a bit worried because I have always felt really sick from about week six to week 14. I already feel sick and I'm not four weeks yet. It's only in waves but I am surprised by it.

I would really like to name check but am tired Blush - sorry.

Actually, can I ask an embarrassing question? My last period started on 14th April. How pregnant am I? Will I be four weeks on Saturday or today? Why can't I work it out? I've only had three children already Blush

Flightty · 11/05/2012 21:01

Hiya girls, Flying - I'm sorry about the disappointment, but baffled as to why you would be so late otherwise. I hope that this month comes through for you guys, and it was just a bit too soon to test. Are you certain dates are right? (sure you have thought of that!!)

I just wrote a massive post, which is hard as I can't write quickly on a long thread - computer crashes - and then MN went down for a minute and lost the whole thing.

Basically, in brief, Spring I had that nausea too last week but then it's tailed right off. I think it was adjustment to progesterone, and your body gets used to it quickly. It's not the same as the preggo thing where everything smells awful, you can't fancy anything to eat and you feel sort of seasick all the time, is it? Well that's not what I've had so far, and I was scared it was starting early too, but I'm only getting a bit dodgy first thing when I wake up, think it is connected to digestive system? and then it eases off after a few minutes.

Also I had a lot of cramps last week, now eased off mostly as well. (I'm 4+5 now)
Regards your dates, do you know when you ovulated? If so count that as two weeks in, and so 14 dpo is four weeks pregnant, and so on from there.

I had my LMP on the 12th April, but ovulated on CD11 (22nd) which was a Sunday, so for me, that was 2 weeks pregnant, and I'm changing to 5 weeks this Sunday.

Don't ask me about how many months is how many weeks though Grin That gets me EVERY time.

Flightty · 11/05/2012 21:04

Oh I meant to say, I think the HCG is what does you in in terms of smell and taste and general sickyness, later - I'm waiting for that to kick in properly, last time I was 5 and a half weeks I think. Bit scared but at least have got drugs Grin

Flightty · 11/05/2012 21:06

Just realised that in retrospect, I was pregnant before I got my last period Grin such are the technicalities! WHY do they not count it from conception....I know not.

SpringFlowers · 11/05/2012 21:19

Thanks Flightty, I found a website that helped me out. I will be four weeks tomorrow. I have 253 days to go Smile. I just feel sick, like I did last time but less severe and it comes and goes rather than stays. All my pregnancies have felt the same and I have three dd's. I wonder if I would feel differently if I was carrying a boy.

I made the mistake of looking at buggies. OMG. I want, I mean WANT a Bugaboo Donkey. I love it . Then I found out how much it cost

lastboxoftampons · 11/05/2012 21:53

Flying please don't for a second feel silly. There is not one of us here that hasn't had their hopes up and gotten excited. We're all here for you whatever the outcome. Smile

Crazy I would have to shoot myself if Big and Small was at all interested in over here! Those voices! Tom is on Beebies at 17:25. David Tennant voices one of the characters. It's quite cute.

Lime I quite like Mike the Knight. More than DS it seems Hmm bought him the DVD for Easter and it's only been watched about 2 times.

Well done, blackcats! I love a bargain! Grin I bought a shirt for DS in the US and when I brought it to the till, it came up as 21 cents! Shock I didn't even want to bring it to the attention of the cashier, but when I did she said It's great when that happens, isn't it? Grin

Silent it's crap when you're apart at crucial times...Not fair! Angry

Spring I remember having noted backache for one of my pregnancies. Smile Think it's completely within the realm of possibility!

Pipbin · 11/05/2012 22:00

Well the good news here is that I finally got a permanent contract!
It's been 6 years since I've had a permanent job and that has really scuppered TTCing until last year when we decided to go for it anyway and hang the consequences.

And the EWCM has continued unabated. Still not even close to a positive OPK. DH still poorly but still doing what a chap has got to do.

Sorry to see you here Dilly.

EmpireBiscuit · 11/05/2012 22:05

I ist drunk, read tomorrow x

lastboxoftampons · 11/05/2012 22:42

Well done, Pip! Have some of what Empire's having to celebrate! Grin
